  1. In all seriousness, what part of jauron's 6 win per season average makes you think that he's capable of leading us to the playoffs?
  2. There's been plenty of personal hate towards JP in the past 2 days (not from you). That irks me a lot worse that the football criticisms. I'm not saying JP played well, because he didn't. Peters also had a good game. However, on the play, the one that we all unanimously agree cost us the game, both peters and losman deserve equal blame. If either one of them had made a play, we probably win the game. But neither did and we lost. (Langston walker didnt help either with his whale flop). And for the record, i don't think JP is a good QB now. With the proper coaching in the future, he's got the potential to be a good QB. We've seen that in 2006. I don't know if he'll ever put it together mentally to be a good QB tho. But for him and the Bills, the best thing is for him to move along with his career elsewhere.
  3. Ultimately, Jauron is responsible for the abortion of a playcall. But, your second sentence applies to both losman and peters.
  4. And 3 posts ago you said Peters should be excused because he's "good." Now you're saying he shouldn't be excused? Funny, to me it looked like JP tried to take off and run. At least make up your mind on which way you are going to irrationally trash him. Throughout numerous threads, you've gone after him for running with the ball and NOT just falling on the ball and taking the sack and now you're going after him for NOT running with the ball. Seems to me like you're just hell bent on going after JP come hell or high water.
  5. I had noticed that in my many times watching the highlites. A simple forearm shiver knocks walker to the ground. You'd think that F=ma alone would have been enough to knock ellis OB. *I've* gotten forearm shivered like that in football before, but then again i'm 5'9" 160, not 6'7" 380.
  6. so mediocrity is ok as long as its anyone besides JP Losman. Then we only demand perfection.
  7. I guess expecting your *star* player to step up and make a play when the game is on the line is too much to ask.
  8. Leave all the personal crap out, yet you continue to take personal shots at him, and anchor your argument to the opinion of a single backup scrub RB?
  9. I'm not strictly blaming peters, because i hated the call the instant i saw the play fake. No reason not to run. Just turned into a comedy of errors. Horrendous play call. Peters whiffing on the block. Losman not securing the ball. The ball taking an incredible bounce right into Ellis' hands. 400 lb langston walker somehow lacking the ability to knock ellis OB. What a mess.
  10. Dave, i've linked you the video clip where everyone is getting blocked except Elam, and lo and behold, it was Peters who whiffed on the block. Who was Peters supposed to block then? Or is he just supposed to block no one, because "that's not his assignment." Funny, i thought football was about making plays, not being concerned about what isn't your assignment.
  11. The funny thing is Gary, if the exact same play with the same result happened but Edwards was the QB, the mob would have been waiting at Peters house sunday evening with the tar and feathers all ready to go.
  12. Dave, the ball was picked off about a yard or 2 deep into the endzone, or right at the goalline (rhodes was TACKLED at the 1 or 2). But one has to wonder why none of our WRs managed to get into the endzone to attempt to catch the hail mary. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80d52ce8 @ 3:37
  13. See Lori's numerous posts on this topic. The 2 inside guys were being blocked by dockery (the second guy got tied up in the pile). Peters was outside with only the blitzer to block and whiffed. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80d52ce8 Check the link at the 2:58 mark. Peters only responsibility is the outside blitzer, and does an excellent ole block and lets Elam right by.
  14. W/L for QBs are a complete joke, which is why they don't keep that stat like they do for MLB pitchers. Football is too much of a team game to place the W/L record on the QB. But if you want to go with W/L, are you honestly happy with a guy that thusfar has a record of 11-10 through 2 seasons? Doesn't exactly give me warm fuzzy feelings. For the benefit of the future of the team, Hamdan should be starting the last 2 games if Edwards can't go. JP is gone, and now the playoffs are gone, so there's not a good reason to keep him in the lineup.
  15. So Trent led the team to 0 points in 1 half against SF, yet its JP's fault we lost? Did he magically blow some lead that trent had staked the team to when he led us to 0 points in the first half? Whats funny is that trent has started 21 games in his career, and aside from sacks taken, his career numbers are eerily similar to one Jon Paul Losman. Given what he has showed in the past 5-6 games he played in, forgive me for jumping for joy.
  16. I completely forgot. It was trent's edwards stellar play against miami, the jets, new england, the browns, and the 1st half against the 49ers (where he put up a whopping 0 points) that were leading us on the path to the playoffs. Blame JP all you want (although i learned long ago that your opinion about QB play is essentially worthless) for the last 2 losses, but Trent was a big reason as to why 5-1 turned into 6-6. The season was bumble!@#$ed away long before JP took a snap against miami or the jets, has little to do with the QB play (which has been awful no matter whether its #5 or #7 back there) and anyone that thinks otherwise is a complete fool. Then again, a complete moron like yourself would think that we were doing ok at 6-6 and the season was all fine and dandy until JP had to start.
  17. awesome. I especially likes the rivers part.
  18. That about sums his career in a nutshell. Always trying to make a play. And more often than not, it bites him in the ass. But, you cannot forgive Peters for his whiff or Jauron for the playcall. The way we were running the ball, no reason to stop. We had 2 plays to gain 5 yards and the game would have effectively been in the bag. If you want to pass, had they called a quick slant to Evans or some type of quick hitter to a TE, sure, why not. But an outlet pass to a FB with 3 career receptions? You simply cannot place all the blame on JP for that play.
  19. On that specific play, about the only mistake he made was fumbling the ball when he got hit. It was a dumb !@#$ play call, and piss poor execution. There was no one else to throw the ball to, and Elam was up JP's ass 0.0065 seconds into the play*. *Note: this was because Peters decided it was an excellent time to play matador and let a blitzer get a clean run at the QB. But i dont see you giving him any heat for his bumble!@#$ on that play.
  20. Some good from yesterday: 1. we actually threw a slant (first time in about 3 years) 2. Stevie Johnson should be getting looks at #2 WR for the rest of the season. He could be the perfect compliment to Lee Evans.
  21. I saw it in high-def (albeit it without sound, as we were putting up the christmas tree so the christmas music was on). I was still infuriated with the horrendous playcall on the fumble, given his propensity to cough up the ball when sacked. The pick right after the TD i just kinda shrugged my shoulders on, because it was par for the course for JP/the Bills. The biggest disconcerting fact is that JP's bad play isn't the reason we are 6-8 and are missing the playoffs, AGAIN, and his leaving in 2 months isn't going to make everything better.
  22. My bad. All his turnovers got me confused. He looked like Edwards out there yesterday.
  23. So if he doesn't fumble, and we beat the jets, the 7-7 bills then to be considered a success while the 6-8 bills are a total disaster? There was zero difference in Losman's play yesterday compared to edwards play in the 1st miami game, or any game (save KC) during the 1-7 stretch. And last time i checked, he's the BACKUP QB. Maybe if Nancy Edwards could play more than a few games without getting hurt, then horrible Losman wouldn't have to see the field.
  24. I didn't say he was good. But apparently i missed the part where JP leaving town in the offseason is going to make our OL, DL, playcalling, etc all instantly better.
  25. Thousands of Bills fans are secretly hoping he re-signs so they have someone to pin the entire team's failures on.
