While JP played like ass, its really fun to pretend that he was the only reason we lost on sunday.

Enough with the "deferring" criticism
Ramius replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll agree and add that with deferring, you potentially give your offense 1 extra possession on the second half as opposed to the first half. An extra possession in the second quarter could get you some extra points. An extra possession in the 4th quarter could give you the win. -
Riddle ME this...What do these have in common?

Not to mention that his upright running style will get him killed in the NFL and he doesn't exactly "throw" a good pass at all. His "passes" are more of heaves or shot-puts. -

To bring this thread full circle, in the season that doug flutie "led" the Bills to the playoffs ('99), he posted stats that almost mirror JP's 2006 campaign. That should tell you something about doug's play versus the defense's. -

Here's my thoughts. (The DEFENSE took us to the playoffs in 1999, NOT the dwarf) http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1203223 Plain and simple, doug flutie isn't very good. If he was, he'd have stuck in the NFL a lot longer than he did. Once teams saw him play a couple of games, they had the book on him, and he got shut down. And no matter how namy "spectacular" plays he made, they dont make up for him choking away the miami playoff game in '98 with his fumble. -

Ralph calls the SF loss "the worst performance
Ramius replied to bananathumb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still, a coach needs ot be able to take what he's got and make it work. You cant sit here and force a scheme on players when you do not have the right personnel. As for McCargo, he busted, that happens. Its not the end of the world, and that single pick didnt cripple the franchise. With regards to price and tripplett, i'll aruge that they were thought of as nothing more than holdovers until we had better players in place. When you have a team devoid of talent and can't address it all in 1 offseason, you need to sign some temporary holdover type players that you intend to replace within 2-3 years. As for Kelsay, at the time, given his past production and contracts for similar caliber players, he wasn't overpaid. Whether or not he's lived up to the contract is another story entirely. -
Fixed it for you.

Flutie had confidence because he knew if the Bills lost, he could blame it on everyone else. -

Is it honestly too much to ask that a new coach assess what valuable personnel he does have and then adapt a scheme to that, all the while working acquiring talent for the scheme he wants to run? -
Captain and Coke, or Jack and Coke. Or if they have it, go with Fluor de Cana rum (its nicaraguan, and i have puhonix to thank). Real smooth, really good tasting.

If you look back through his time as a coach, hiring bad coordinators has been a big problem for dickie J. Its plagued him his entire career. And since dickie takes more of a delegation type of approach to coaching, you better have strong coordinators if you want to succeed.

Seriously? You trotted out the "i played football so i know more than you" line? Absolutely pathetic. Now on topic, what part of Jauron's 1 winning season in 7 and soon to be 8 years, and what part of his average of 6 wins per year makes you think that all of a sudden he is capable of coaching this team to 11 or more wins? We started off 5-1 this year. Your average monkey could have coached this team to 10 wins after that start. (then again, a monkey wouldn't have settled for attempting a 50 yard FG into swirling winds with plenty of time left on the clock either)

And you can determine this after 4 games? With Losman, the entire problem wasn't that he got pulled. Pulling a young QB can sometimes help when you pull them for a half if they are playing bad. The problem was that Losman never had the team and coaches behind him except in 2006 (and wouldn't you know, it was his best season). In '05 and '07, the coaches were consistently making him look over his shoulder. We'd know a lot more about Losman right now if dickie had given him all of 2007 to show us what he did or didn't have. I can tell you one thing. No matter how good or bad any employee might turn out to be, the absolute worst possible way to manage them is to constantly look over their shoulder and make them feel like they are going to be removed/fired/pulled if they make a single mistake.

And Losman had been playing for "years" when in 2005 (his second season), he was benched in favor of holcomb after his 4th career start? Or how about when he was benched again after the team lost to NE in week 13, just so meathead could try to save his job? So you're saying Losman deserved to be benched because he "sucked" and you knew he was always going to suck after 4 starts?

Did anyone see the story on Planned Pernthood

Actually, their first heading, even before abortion, is birth control. But, for the nutjobs, its really easy to mindlessly scream out, "ZOMG, THEY ARE PROMOTING ABORTIONS!!!!!!!" Here are some simple associations that the general public and whackos on both sides have a hard time understanding. 1. McDonalds did not make the obese person fat. 2. Remington did not make the criminal shoot someone. 3. PP did not make the girl get an abortion. All of the above behaviors are going to occur whether there is a gift card involved or not, because they are personal choices.
