  1. Excellent post. Let the mouth breathers continue to criticize whitner, because they lack the neural processing capacity to actually understand what happened on the play.
  2. Can a QB have faith that his 2 time "pro-bowl" OL will block an oncoming blitzer as opposed to no one?
  3. They were valid until he did nothing this year. Tough to fault a player who got injured for 11 games in his rookie year. He showed some promise at the end of '07. This year McCargo was healthy, had a full season under his belt, and he flopped. I wasn't making excuses, they were valid points. If i were still blaming his poor play on his rookie year injuries, then that would be making excuses. Or we could be like you and expect every player to be all-stars out of the gate.
  4. But does it really matter if the sexy coaches are gone? With ralph guiding the team and paying the salaries, you're complaining that all the BMWs will be gone while shopping for a yugo.
  5. I know, next year will really be like trent's rookie year, and half of the games will be the "worst conditions i've ever seen" and he'll still be affected by his concussion.
  6. Someone needs to tell discovery that if a asteroid that big hit us, the continents as we know them would cease to exist.
  7. I called it hypocrisy because of the double standard. I find it tough to fault trent or any other QB for fumbling when they get blindsided like he did. I called Bill out because, given his history, he absolves trent. But if JP had performed that exact play, we would have gotten a friggin thesis on why JP sucks and should have hung onto the ball.
  8. Some people cant realize that criticism of edwards does not mean that the poster wants JP starting or think JP could do better.
  9. So we can't fault trent for yesterday's game, but yet here you bring in "individual" records. If you're going to be irrational, at least try to be consistent.
  10. Not to ruin the whitner hate party, but he took a helmet on his injured shoulder, and he dropped like a box of rocks when he got hit. He layed down because he was hurt, not because he was embarrassed. When they were taking him off the field, he couldn't move his arm. But lets to continue to pile on one of the few players that actually seems to give a sh-- about winning.
  11. Buffalo's opponents had 114 wins. SF's opponents had 112 wins. SF picks #10. You can thank 0-16 detroit, or the craptastic NFC west for the lower SOS.
  12. 4 quick points that i saw from the stands today... 1. No one seems to mention that edwards was sacked twice on 4th down on the final drive (1 was wiped out by the penalty). But i thought he had pocket presence and didn't take stupid sacks? 2. This wont fly with the growing group of whitner-haters, but on the play he got "run over," he took a helmet straight to his injured shoulder and immediately crumpled from being hit there. He couldn't move his arm walking off the field. But i guess he should have wrapped up with a dead arm, huh? 3. I cannot believe that people are seriously saying that 0 offensive points is a good outing for the QB. 4. When new england* downed the punt on the 2 in the 4th quarter, the game went to commercial. During the commercial break, 10 offensive players were huddled up standing together in the endzone. !@#$ing Edwards stood on the sidelines with a coat on next to turk and dick until they rewound the play clock, then he ran out there top join his team.
  13. I guess we know what santa delivers to bad girls and boys in detriot.
  14. Got it. You want to see Brown get some pressures and some sacks when the game was close and wisconsin was running the ball the entire time.
  15. Brown just got a sack and a FF that was returned for a TD. Is he back to being our #1 pick now John? Amazing how much easier it is to pressure the QB when hes throwing and not handing off all game.
  16. After seeing what was done with Matt Ryan and the Atlanta offense, maybe we should look at their OC.
  17. Then dont. Wisconsin has been running the ball all game long. That is going to neutralize the pass rush. Brown has gotten to the QB with a few pressures. But just because he doesn't have a sack today, lets ignore the 12.5 he did have this year.
  18. It pisses me off that he was strictly the punter until this season. He was 24-26 in FGs, with a record 19 straight makes and his only 2 misses were from 50+ (he was 5-7 from 50+ this year).
  19. He does need to work on wrapping up a bit better, but he's disruptive as hell. I think he'd be an instant upgrade for the Bills. He's listed as a tweener and possibly an OLB in a 3-4, since he goes about 250. I dont think it'd be a problem for him to bulk up a bit and play DE for us however, as our current DEs go in the 240-250 range. On another note, how about FSU P/K (and Lou Groza award winner) Graham Gano. 3 punts, one downed at the 1, one OB at the 3, and one OB at the 1.
  20. If you guys to know anything about him, feel free to ask. Later on in the offseason i'll ave a detailed write-up when i review the FSU draft eligible players.
  21. fantasy leagues that end in week 17 = RJ
  22. Then there's the fact that he finished 7-9 in his final year in chicago. But hey, i guess i can see why some people think jauron's improving. 3 of first 4 years in chicaco, jauron lost more than 10 games per year.
  23. We're right on par for Jauron's career record of beating 1 team with a winning record per season.
