Quite the early start for the OBD spin machine. Now they can tout "Ryan Denney is coming off a career year, we're going to the playoffs"

You're not missing much. Its the final round of the NCAA annual cash grab lottery. The other semi-finalists have been given their cash prizes and tonight, the 2 lucky enough to get picked out of a hat get to see which one of them gets the grand prize and which one gets the runner up prize. I think they actually have some type of sporting game too, as sideshow entertainment.

Utah is the real champion o college football this year.

Giants CB corey webster got 6 years, 43 million with 20 million guaranteed last offseason. Greer will most likely be in the same range as Webster. He'll sign a 5-6 year, 30-40 million dollar deal with 15 mil guaranteed at least. And McKelvin started the final 6 games this season and did fine. He'll continue to develop. The 11th pick isn't going to ride the pine as a nickel back in his 2nd season, especially after starting at the end of his rookie year.

you make me laugh. Mistaking USF as the 2nd best team in the state? Its not risky at all. FSU actually has the balls to play some decent OOC games, unlike the inbred redneck trash SEC. We win, we win. We lose, no big deal. People aren't going to start questioning FSU. In case you didn't notice, FSU went a very solid 9-4 this season, and missed out on the ACC title game because of a tie breaker. Ponder is coming back next year, and the OL returns almost entirely intact as we had 3 freshmen and 1 sophmore starting. It'll still be a few years until FSU could make a play at national prominence, but no reason to believe at this point in time that we won't be back in the ACC title game next season. If people like you would like to think that USF is actually gaining on FSU and/or UF, be my guest. But kids would still rather play for FSU or UM long before they would want to play for USF. USF still is, and will be 4th best in the state for a long time.

So did the Browns ever or did they need to interview a minority candidate for the job? Or are they exempt from the rooney rule because crennel was black? And yes, i'd take a mangina over a dick any day of the week. Except friday.

I never understood why more teams dont tender their good to decent players at the 1st round level or higher. That extra 500k basically guarantees that they're staying with you, or that you can work a trade to your advantage. Ask the dolphins. If they had tendered welker at the 1st round level instead of the second, they'd still have him. Instead, ne* used a poison pill to get him. Hope miami is enjoying that 500k they saved.

It was funny, especially to any of us who have and/or are still working in a lab. I liked it when the dumbass dropped the bottle on his foot. And of course, the mouth pipetting was great. That video was courtesy of my girl who has a job in the FSU Environmental Health and Safety Office. Nothing quite like having a girl who can get you in trouble at work as well as home.

I've seen some really bad lab safety videos in my time at various places, but this one takes the cake for being the cheesiest, most over the top lab safety video. http://vimeo.com/2578088?pg=transcoded_email&sec=2578088

My girl got a clean bill of health as well. I sent her this article and told her that and she laughed and agreed.

Not for posting too much. For posting every single little thought that entered his idiot little mind on draft day/weekend. He cranked out 160+ posts in a 12 hour span on draft day, and well over 200 posts the entire weekend.

Is Peyton a choker? Yes according to Whitlock
Ramius replied to Willis990's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agreed Rich. I like most of Whitlock's work, but he's dead wrong on this issue. Sure, Peyton hasn't always played as good in the playoffs as he has in the regular season. Of course, in the playoffs you are playing much tougher teams. And i find it tough to fault him for Vanderjagt's misses or defensive failures. As mentioned above, Peyton left the field with a lead on saturday. His defense had 2 shots to stop SD from tying/winning and they didn't. Regarding the Harrison issue, you know i've always agreed with you. I read the other day that Harrison has played in 16 playoff games, and his line is 65-865-2. And both TD's came in the 1 blowout against denver. Harrison had a bad habit of turtling in the playoffs. -
Let's hope the Bills finish 4-12 or worse in 2009
Ramius replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The punishment of ralph being here for another 10 years would be exponentially worse than a few 4-12 seasons. -
For starters, since JP is no longer a Buffalo Bill, discussions about trent's many shortcomings have nothing to do with JP. Secondly, some of us want an actual honestly good QB, not just someone who's "better than the last guy." Just because the guy rated a 4 is better than the previous guy who was rated a 3 doesn't mean that the guy rated 4 is any good. So here, we're discussing trent's porcelain doll like durability, his absolute unwillingness to throw anything but a checkdown, and his utter inability to play in any less than perfect weather. None of those have anything to do with JP.
-
So instead of trying to improve, you just continue doing the same thing that isn't working, just for the sake of continuity?

So what exactly does one single stat prove? Going back and looking at the stats, in both of their 2nd years in the NFL, Trent Edwards and Ryan Leaf each threw for 11 TDs. Thats not saying much for trent. Will he be out of the league after next season, just like Leaf? I mean, they have a similar stat. Trent needs to earn a break. He's been sold as the savior by numerous fans, sportswriters, and the Bills front office/coaching staff itself. God forbid we have any expectations from him, like playing a full season without getting hurt, or not playing abysmal football for large portions of the season, or actually attempting a pass over 10 yards in length from time to time.

I re-tried Jiffy Pop popcorn after many years.

At home i'll stick with my air popper. Buy the liquid oil/butter topping and some salt, and you're set.
