Langston Walker released/Kirk Chambers re-signed
Ramius replied to Warren Zevon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta be a pre-cursor to another move. We'd have an open roster spot, and no way the team would carry only 7 OLs. Now lets all gather together and hope that we find this same report tomorrow, only with chris kelsay's name substituted in place of Walker. -
2009 just called and wants to know where you've been for the past 2 years.

AP: Players getting 75% of revenue according to NFL
Ramius replied to BillsWatch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're not going to get anywhere arguing with a pats* fan about the old CBA. Its a garbage CBA, evidenced by the fact that the owners ditched out as soon as they could. The only owners that liked the last CBA are Kraft, Snyder, and Jones, since it gave them a vehicle to push the cap higher and higher so they could outspend everyone else. But, you are attempting to argue with a fan of kraft's team, so its no wonder why he drools over the previous CBA. -
They are still fighting it, and its still in appeal, so technically Bobby is still 2 wins behind JoePa. The NCAA says since the players cheated on the test, they were ineligible to play from the moment they cheated. FSU says that they should keep the wins, because the players were punished and suspended as soon as the university discovered the cheating. The whole "vacating wins" procedure is a joke if you ask me, no matter what institution it happens to. I honestly don't see what it accomplishes, and if Boby wasn't so close to JoePa, this wouldn't be a big deal. Plus, the NCAA is simply trying to make an example out of the football team. There were track players that cheated, yet the NCAA isn't going after the back-to-back-to-back NCAA track titles the FSU men's team won.

Good call on the bet. When i saw the line, i would have taken miami and the points, because you knew it would be a close one. There was some questionable play calling, but i didnt mind the runoff too much. I didnt want to chance having to kick off again, because miami's returner had been burning us all night. As for Bowden, he's not in control of the offense. Jimbo Fisher is. Bobby might have some overall strategy opinions, but the day to day stuff is run by Jimbo and has been since last year. This season is Mickey Andrews' last as DC, and they better let Jimbo pick the successor and re-staff the D-coaching staff. (Fisher and Amato hate each other). It is time for Bobby to go, however. Thats the general sentiment around Tallahassee. People are hoping this year is his last, but next year should be his farewell tour. After the 2010 season, Jimbo becomes coach or we owe him a huge buyout. And if he isn't promoted to HC by then, this town is going to flip out.

Yeah, greg reid aside, the secondary was uncharacteristically awful last night. I think miami just completed another 40 yard pass. Anyways, its good to finally see the offense moving the ball. I'd like to see more of a running game, but i saw some good things. The D will come around. They're young, and just made a few too many mental mistakes. Ponder did as well. His 2 turnovers potentially cost us 2 FGs. Aside from that the kid played a good game. I've been saying it all offseason, this team is improved, but it is not going to be reflected in this year's record with our brutal schedule. However, 8-4 is still a good season and 9-3 and/or a berth in the ACC championship isn't out of the question. The way i figured it, this season we'd probably go 6-2 in the ACC, drop the UF game, and then the BYU game was a toss up to see if we could get that 9th win. Either way, it's good to see miami getting their program back on track as well.

Glad someone else noticed this. My DVR agrees. The incomplete signal came with 1 second left. They shoulda had the 4th down play.

Are you kidding me? Tyrod Taylor couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with his passes. I did have one question however. #25 for 'bama, the douche that got double personal fouls on one play...the second flag was for shoving an official. Any reason why he didn't get tossed for that action? (aside from the blatantly obvious one that they were SEC officials calling the game)

Could you perhaps pass out this mysterious "game film" that shows chris kelsay being anything but below average, and that shows the Bills defense actually stopping 3rd downs? As i recall, the defense was largely ineffective at stopping 3rd downs, especially 3rd and long. Classic Jauron. 3rd and 10, line up the DBs 15 yards off the LOS and give up a 12 yard catch. And this was in large part because kelsay ran 16 yard upfield past the QB, or was blown off the ball, or bit on a play fake. The guy hasn't sniffed a QB since he signed his bloated contract. Kelsay blows, and the team would be better letting a player like Bryan develop. But no, we waste a roster spot on jauron's BFF because he's a vet, and jauron goes with seniority over talent.
-
No thanks. 2 Qbs who can't/won't throw the ball more than 10 yards downfield is enough. We don't need a third.

I love. The tards at OBD cut Stupar, the only TE we have with a knack for finding an open space and doing something with the ball, so we can keep two worthless pieces of sh-- in Schoumann and Fine. And then you know Nelson will barely see the field this season because "he's only a rookie." This is the biggest problem with dick jauron. He knows his ass is on the line, so he keeps worthless vets that make minimal mistakes, but minimal plays. Can't risk keeping a young player who may make some big plays, because he might make a mistake. I would have liked to see kelsay's ass get cut and someone like Bryan or Mace kept, but the worthless white warrior keeps his job because he's jaurons BFF. I also have no idea why wendling made the roster.

The biggest problem with Hannity's show (and Olbermann's as well) is that they are both targeted at the < 60 IQ segment of the conservative/liberal base. They want sheeple (to steal Darin's term) who don't, or more likely can't think, and merely want to spout off. As you see here in this thread, at least 1 of those target groups from both sides has already posted; Bishop Hedd and 1billsfan.

Hell, i'd be happy if AVP makes it to the point where i no longer can predict what play is coming based on the package/personnel on the field. Lets see, 2 WRs, 2 TEs, and Josh reed just motioned across and lined up off the TE? Yup, its a run to the right.

Who fires their OC a week before the season?
Ramius replied to ans4e64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can you please do the same for jauron? -
I tried that method 50 pages ago and it didn't work. Now you'll never win unless you post again!

You'd think the audio and video feeds would be working to perfection since its friday.

Evans caught 62% of the passes thrown in his direction last season, one of the higher ones in the league. You're right, we simply dont throw the ball him enough times for him to pile up those numbers.
-
1. This is the second best news (barring a jauron firing) all pre-season. 2. This is a hell of a way to start the holiday weekend! 3. Perhaps now we'll actually run patterns that allow our WRs to catch the ball in stride, instead of an offense of curls and outs.

But its buffalo college girls jack. C'mon down here to FSU and i'll take you to a game and you can see real filled-out tank tops from real college girls. Or just google "FSU cowgirls"

What is there no value to? Everything in that argument about tebag's shortcomings is dead on accurate. The guy is a hell of a college player. But there are serious doubts as to how his game will translate at the next level. -

I wonder if Lee Evans is still getting ready for Brady Quinn? -
There was some bad blood between these 2 teams stemming from Boise beating Oregon in Eugene last season. I'm not defending blount, but who knows what was said, and if the Boise player was running his mouth or not. I could see how it would be really tough to restrain himself in that situation. In other news, i see that Oregon unveiled the Jauron/Schonert offense in the first half. 0 first downs, 5 three-and-outs.

Finally, Government trying to do something worthwhile
Ramius replied to KD in CA's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wish they'd implement this in all workplaces, especially science labs. I've worked with plenty of people where I was almost tempted to shove them under the safety shower for everyone's benefit.
