  1. Thats the beauty of time to choose/dwight drane. He'll spin it into how he was actually right that the SD game last season will get cancelled and that we'll have a banking holiday before october 2008 as well.
  2. THIS is why last's weeks episode was not simply, "no big deal." Athletes are becoming more and more frequently the targets of such crimes.
  3. Tim, (or Lori, etc) What are the NFL rules regarding suspended players and interaction with the team? I thought they were prohibited from all team activities, functions until their suspension was finished, but i could have sworn that the dog-killer himself was in the owners box watching the Eagles play yesterday.
  4. I don't buy the run/stop the run tenet. Lots of times teams do not pile up the rushing yardage until the second half of a game that's already in hand. So it becomes a self-fulfilling tenet.
  5. Penn is an above average young LT who is still getting better. One of the more underrated guys in the league. He was pressed into service 2 years ago when Petitgout was lost for the year and hasn't relinquished his hold on the job.
  6. Trent played pretty good yesterday. We need many more games like that from him. My only complaint is that he needs to get the ball to Lee and TO more. We can't keep going with those 2 only getting 3-5 catches combined per game.
  7. I'd definitely start F-Jax. I'm still kicking myself for not drafting him in the 10th round of our draft when it came around. After him its a tough choice, but i'd probably lean toward S-Jax followed by Parker. Moreno is banged up and denver's backfield situation is a complete mess. I dont trust reggie bush at all.
  8. Nice signing. Maybe now people can spare us the mindless drivel about the Bills drafting a CB in round 1 of the 2010 draft.
  9. Tampa's better than everyone is giving them credit for. Winslow may tear our suspect D apart. I can see it either Bills 16, Tampa 13 or Tampa 31, Bills 13.
  10. A special player doesn't mean a good QB. tebag probably will be a decent pro as a TE/H-back where he can catch, run, and throw a few passes as a wildcat QB. But there is a mountain of evidence that shows he'll simply never a great NFL QB. I have no doubt that Belicheat* would find a way to make tebag into a spectacular NFL pro. But it wouldn't be as the main QB of the offense.
  11. Florida recently jacked up their car registration rates a ton (almost doubling them). They claim it was because we had some of the lowest yearly registration rates in the nation and we were just getting our in line with the rest of the country. I'm running this simple survey to determine if they are accurate or full of crap. So if you could post the state you live in and your yearly cost of registration for comparison's sake, i'd appreciate it. I drive a Chevy S-10. The first 6 years i lived here my yearly registration was $45, and this year with the new rates, it jumped to $70.
  12. Addai, no questions asked. Parker isn't the back he used to be, splits with Mendenhall and Moore, gets 0 looks at the goalline, and is playing the bears.
  13. We all know that collegiate success is an excellent predictor of future pro success especially at the QB position. No one here is arguing about tebag's abilities at the collegiate level. But there are many people, from scouts to pundits who feel that tebag's game simply will not translate into NFL success. His ability as a pure passer (something you need to succeed at to win in the NFL) and passing mechanics are garbage. Most of his passes look like clay pigeons at a shooting range. In college, the talent level is so different (especially because the gators play a patty-cake schedule of 1-AA schools) that the deficiencies are masked. They won't be at the NFL level. That being said, this would be a brilliant move on the part of the jags. Millions of toothless trailer-trash redneck gator fans (had to specify gator because those adjectives could easily be used to describe any SEC fan base) in northeast florida would face the tough decision of having to buy either a tebag jersey or another dale earnhardt jr sleeveless shirt.
  14. The biggest difference is that you are backing a 15 game loser carting a 6.50 ERA and keep claiming he's going to win the Cy Young. And when confronted each time your pitcher loses, you respond with, "See, i was right, the 3rd baseman is going to win the batting title."
  15. I'll come on here ahead of time to take my medicine. Miami has looked good again. Harris looks like the real deal under center. (Of course, i don't see a whole lot of difference between us and you guys, since we are a Jarmon Fortson dropped pass away from the rankings being flipped) FSU's schedule isn't a cake walk. We've got USF, BYU, and UF as OOC opponents. Either way, as a fan of the ACC, its good to see UM making strides to being a solid program again. The ACC needs FSU and UM to be the flag bearers for the conference. Enough of these "pretenders" in Va Tech, Clemson, Ga Tech, etc.
  16. Ok, i've got a few questions for week 2. QB - I am considering starting Campbell over Cutler. Cutler is @ Pit and Campbell plays St. Louis. Any thoughts? Alternatively, i can pick up Leftwich. Flex - I'm seeking opinions on who to start at my flex spot. I currently start Addai/Slaton at RB, Wayne/Boldin/Berrian at WR, and Olsen at TE. My flex options are Jonathan Stewart (but potentially slowed by injury), Leon Washington, Michael Clayton, or Ben Watson. Thanks in advance for the input!
  17. I was wondering the same. I played Stewart, but he was a flex option. I start Addai/Slaton. What killed me was the friggin bears. Greg Jennings got my opponent 17 points on the game winning TD and 2-pter, and i lost by 17.
  18. You'll hafta reference the specific chapter and verse in revelation if you have any hopes of getting through.
  19. Let me know if there are 1.5 million virtual participants, so i can prepare for the virtual armageddon.
  20. His girlfriends false accusation does not constitute the truth. He smacked her around, but he did NOT hit his infant son. If he hit his son, child services would have been all over his ass. Just because there are other people in the room when you hit someone doesn't mean you hit everyone in that room. You are the only dimwit on the entire board claiming that Hardy hit his infant son. I am not going to defend James Hardy for hitting his girlfriend. But i will defend him from false accusations thrown around by scumbag low-life losers sitting on a pile of dinty moore cans in a 1000 sq ft house with 12 other people waiting for the apocalypse, who think it is perfectly acceptable to violate someone's personal property because of what happened during a football game.
  21. Reggie Wayne scored 30 for me. The remaining 5 WRs on my roster combined for 1.
  22. I don't have enough time in the week to find your hundreds of posts claiming Hardy hit his infant son, or your posts claiming Lynch left the woman for dead. Your little lie of "Hardy pulled a gun on his dad" is a nice touch however. You seem to have a big misunderstanding of what constitutes a "fact" and what is an over exaggeration. Perhaps you can go look it up in revelations? You should have some more free time now since the world didn't end on 9/15/09 like your prediction.
  23. Define irony: Mentally unstable poster who has extremely overreacted to the point of falsifying information regarding NFL players (Lynch and Hardy) complaining of overreaction by national media to a situation involving another NFL player.
  24. WHOA Brian Moorman PWNED Drew Brees last season. To compare apples to apples, i extrapolated Moorman's stats so they are equal to Brees and here's what you get. 2008 Drew Brees: Brees - 413/635, 5,069 yards, 34 TD, 17 INT While this may be good, he's nowhere near the QB that moorman is, especailly when you extrapolate the stats. 2008 Brian Moorman: 635/635, 12,065 yards, 635 TDs, 0 INTs
  25. Rational thought and using actual facts isn't either.
