  1. Don't forget Playgirl centerfold https://vault.si.com/vault/1982/07/12/the-bare-facts-are-hes-a-star The problem, as Oakland Raider Wide Receiver Bob Chandler sees it, was that "I never wanted notoriety for anything other than my playing ability. That's why I had no notoriety." That was before he appeared pretty much in the altogether in the pages of the January 1982 issue of Play girl magazine. "Strange, isn't it," says Chandler, "that after 11 years of busting my ass on the football field, I get the most attention for spending eight hours exposing my ass?"
  2. I've started to use a pick more, but I've studied Geddy Lee (Because I like Rush, they're my favorite), and Geddy doesn't use a pick. He grows his fingernails on his right hand longer and uses his nails like a pick. This had to be a day where I bit my fingernails off in an Eric Cartman like rage over something....
  3. Finger style. Slappin' da bass is straight up funk. You don't slap da bass to The Allman Brothers.
  4. That ain't nuthin! I took a 2 week break from playing bass. I was called up by a band to play a couple of songs. I use extra light gauge strings. The bassist in the other band used medium gauge strings. End result
  5. We liked the Golden Goose. It's a restaurant but with quite the cocktail selection. Sedona has a light policy for night time. As in if you own a house, you cannot have any lights that point up towards the sky. Does add to the quiet evening hours, but fun can still be had. One place you have to go to is Spirits and Spice. They have a location at the Talaquepaque Shopping Area. Just simply the best gin and vodka I have ever had in my life. They also have tequila, bourbon, whisky, etc. For the cook in you, they have different spices and cooking oils that I imagine are just as good as the alcohol they sell. They only have 3 locations. Wyoming, Vegas, and Sedona. Spiritsandspice.com
  6. I'm wondering if he would have any better luck than the guy did hitting the gender reveal ball in the gender reveal thread.
  7. I am a walking encylopedia of useless knowledge
  8. Can't see it in this picture or with the naked eye, but using the binoculars that were at the property, at the top of that rock is a cave, and hieroglyphics were written below the cave entrance.
  9. You're probably paying for the ambiance and the view, more than just the food, but I thought the food was quite good and worth the cost.
  10. I throw the flavor packet out, cook the noodles, yes, I do strain the noodles, and add milk and butter to said noodles. Yum!
  11. 6.03. They had a special this year where a top contributor to St. Jude teamed up with an NFL Legend. Michael Vick had the fast time of 4.74
  12. We know someone who lives in Sedona, and he recommended some great restaurants to us. Our favorite was Mariposa. Of course it's the most expensive restaurant in Sedona, but totally worth the price.
  13. This was the view off of the deck at our AirBnB in Sedona.
  14. My wife and I actually took a 2 1/2 week vacation this past January. Flew from Buffalo to Reno. Spent time in Lake Tahoe, then down the Eastern Sierra Mountains to Lone Pine, CA. Then across Death Valley to Las Vegas for a couple of days. Then off to Sedona, Arizona for a few days. Down to Phoenix for a couple of days. Then an evening in Solvang, CA (Dutch themed town on the Southern California coast). Up to the Bay Area to see my daughter for a few days, then back to Reno to fly home. I can try to post pictures, but I don't want to bog down this thread with a picture or two per post.
  15. Yep. Knew that for quite a while. Gary Lee Weinrib. Alex's last name is actually Zivojinovic which is Yugoslavian. The literal translation is "Son Of Life", so his stage name is Lifeson. Neil used his real name.
  16. My first game was when I was like 7. Monday night against the Dolphins. The only thing I remember is some guy being carried into the stadium by four friends (each had a limb). And the "Howard, Yuck" sign.
  17. That had to be so cool meeting Dave! Odd-ball time signatures aren't that bad. I'm a Rush fan. 7/4 is like second nature. IT'S SMUDGE BACK TO BACK!!!!!!!
  18. Tomorrow is Cinco De Mayo, so I see your point. Taco's and Tequila on deck!
  19. Ima gone slightly on the under. Early 30's but not at the over/under mark.
