  1. Was listening to KHTK (after Don and Mike), the idiot Grant Napier was singing the praises of Eli Manning, gave him an A for his performance yesterday, etc. One thing he did say that caught my interest, is that he mentioned that he had seen Eli play every game, winning one of eight games, playing horribly in his first 5. I started to think to JP. This is only his third game. He hasn't looked that good in the last two. So, the questions are this. Are we pannicking too much about JP's performance? Should we give the kid more time to get his NFL bearings? Or is the writing on the wall about JP already?
  2. Jim Kelly was 4-12 in his first year. He, and the Bills, turned out pretty damn good. Reality check third line.
  3. J.P. Created everything. He's soooo powerful, he should change his name from J.P. to J.C.
  4. If they find the guy in the Grassy noll wearing a Bills jersey, that means were really doomed!!!
  5. We had a major hail storm here in the Bay Area this past Monday. Expecting heavy Rain Monday/Tuesday.
  6. How cool would it be to have the Bills throwback jersey's against the Power Blue of the Chargers?!
  7. Looks like the "r-e-a-l" major event is that they found Ed Rutkowski alive living in a cave near Angola!
  8. My uneducated guess in the shadow of Alex Smith, is that the Bills and the County reached some kind of deal, to where in return for the County not shelling out money for maintenance due to the County's debt, the Bills are extending their lease. Either that, or Ralph sold the team to Golliasano, and the team will now be called the Rochester PayStubs!
  9. Solid B- to a possible B. Playmaker in Parrish. Good pick. Addressed need on Offensive line with Preston and Geisinger. Needed depth with Everett. King pick is one of those "in case on a rainy day we need something" picks. Maybe the Lionel Gates pick is to signal that a Henry Deal is iminent? Other than that, no reasoning for that pick at all. Overall, I'm not too dissapointed, although I am extremely pissed that the Jets got Nugent.
  10. Justin Geisinger Grade: 3.5 Position: OG Class: Sr School: Vanderbilt Conference: SEC Ht., Wt.: 6-3.5, 322 40 Time: 5.37 Selected by: Buffalo Bills Round 6, pick 23 (197 overall) Grading System BIO: Four-year starter at left tackle. Awarded varying degrees of All-Conference honors since his freshman campaign. POSITIVES: Powerful, wide-bodied college tackle who projects to guard at the next level. Nasty blocker who drives defenders off the line or seals them from the action with body positioning. Stays square, keeps defenders in front of him and effectively uses blocking angles. Knows what.s happening on the field and helps out teammates. Quick off the snap into blocks and immediately sets in pass protection. Solid hand technician. NEGATIVES: Lacks blocking range and struggles sliding laterally. Lacks adjustment as well as the ability to redirect to opponents. Must learn to finish. ANALYSIS: A wide-bodied lineman with excellent weight room strength, Geisinger has done a solid job protecting the blind side at Vandy. Limited blocking range will force him inside, though he could develop into a productive starting guard in the right system. PROJECTION: Mid Fourth Round
  11. A friend of mine, who is a 49ers fan, and a Cal Season Ticket holder... "!@#$ the 49ers! I'm a Raiders fan now". The 49ers had a chance to really bolster their fanbase by drafting Rodgers. I know Smith might be the better QB, but the Cal fans wanted Rodgers on the 49ers. The 49ers missed a golden marketing opportunity.
  12. Note to self. If in self fantasy, you perform 69 with daughter of sans-headset, wear football helmet without facemask. Thus preventing skull crushing in event that at precise moment of ecstacy, she suddenly closes legs.
  13. Because Dan Snyder isn't the owner. I think I'm gonna start a personal war with baby Dan. Sure. He has more money than I do, but I can't stand Napolean types who think they're better than everyone else. Snyder the midget should be the personal manservant for Al Davis. That's all he's good for.
  14. And, here it is! http://www.knbr.com/nfl/index.html
  15. I also heard this interview. I thought Ralph, as all good radio interviewers do try to lead Jonas to say something negative about Buffalo. Jonas thanked "Mr. Wilson", and didn't have anything negative to say. He did mention on how he didn't understand on why the Bills didn't contact him, but that was it on the down side of the Bills. He did thank the Bills organization, and complained about the cost of living in the Bay Area! KNBR usually has audio on their site, and I'll look for a link if they put up this interview.
  16. Those were great, and Jason White is slow!
  17. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sport...11018136.htm?1c Dolphins to get shot at E. James BY ARMANDO SALGUERO asalguero@herald.com Running back Edgerrin James is the Colts' franchise player, but that doesn't mean he won't be on the free agent market when it opens Wednesday. James this week hired local agent Drew Rosenhaus, and the agent said Monday he will be actively trying to get James a multiyear offer from several teams, including Miami. ''I will be calling several teams about Edgerrin, including the Dolphins,'' Rosenhaus said. Moving James from Indianapolis is a daunting task. Any team signing him to a contract would have to compensate the Colts with two first-round draft picks. The only way the price for James would be less is if the Colts agree to take a lower compensation. Last week during the annual NFL scouting combine, Colts coach Tony Dungy and president Bill Polian made it clear they want James to return. Miami needs a star running back such as James, but the team seems unlikely to be a high-priced shopper when free agency opens. The Dolphins will have to make a handful of roster moves or restructure several contracts today to get under the $85.5 million salary cap.
  18. Depending on how far back your machines goes, I would like one Joe D. and Reggie McKenzie in their prime please!
  19. IMHO, Bledsoe lost 3 games for us last year. Jacksonville - After the opening drive, he did nothing. Nothing! The Jacksonville defense was ripe for the picking, and all he picked was his nose. New England at home - Yet another late quater fumble by Bledsoe, returned for a touchdown. Buffalo had all of the momentum, and in one bad play by Bledsoe, it turned into a heartbreaking loss. Pittsburgh - See above. Losman is not going to be the second coming of Montana or Marino. Yet he has the mobility to at least scramble away from these types of situations. And I guarantee you that Mularky and co. will only have to make J.P. manage the offense for a victory. (See Willis McGahee). To even think that the Bills won't do anything with Bledsoe gone, speaks volumes about your loyalities as a true Bills fan, but of course. You're entitles to your opinions...
  20. Ok, I know I will open myself up to much possible ridicule with this, but in all honesty, I would want some feedback on this, from very smart sports fans. I sent an email to the closest email I could get for Bob Goodenow. It was a mailbag thing on the NHL CBA site. He hasn't answered a question in over 3 months, but it was worth a shot. Here's the email. This is in regards to the CBA mess us hockey fans are experiencing. I am quite positive that you have received many thousands of email from fans like me, who have their ideas on how to help reach an agreement. Allow me to share these simple thoughts. The players want the freedom to earn their worth. Cost certainty, or salary cap, will certainly take away monies due to the greatest athletes in the world. (When's the last time you saw Terrell Owens do what someone like Dominik Hasek can do?) Yet the owners want to make sure that they don't loose millions, and want a contract like the NFL, where owners earn millions. Why not have a CBA that gives both? Have a cap on those players in the NHL with less than "X" years of service. Then, if a player remains with a club for "X" amount of years, that team has the option to pay that player whatever amount they see fit, without the restrictions of a cap of any kind. I know that this will take away the free agency that all players covet. Yet as a fan, this system could possibly get us back to the days where a team could actually create a dynasty, like the Canadian's of the 70's, Islanders of the 80's, etc. If the casual fan sees that a top level player could possibly stay with one club for their entire careers, it would be a unique throwback that I believe would attract more hockey fans than anything else. It would also allow players to earn the top dollar contracts that the elite NHL athletes deserve. Thank you for allowing me to write these thoughts. So for all here. Do you think that a system where a player with less than 5, 6, 7 years of service would fall under a strict cap, and then after the negotiated years of service, get a chance to be paid any amount of salary an owner wants to pay, without any restrictions of any kind, would work?
