He couldn’t even give his pals at ESPN the scoop.

I think it's ok to let people have their feelings. As you say, it's understandable. What we're seeing is something of a delayed (but entirely predictable, and predicted) reaction to "13 Seconds." After that debacle, many fans here and elsewhere reassured themselves that the Bills were razor-close and would be back next year. Then you had a super emotional season full of extreme highs and lows (including in almost every single game), and the fans were completely emotionally invested in the team all season. That ended with the team completely face-planting on national television. Fans have a right to be upset that they showed up that day but the team didn't - perhaps some feel that the players were less emotionally locked in to winning than the fans were, which understandably is frustrating. And the post-season statements by the organization have done nothing to reassure folks that appropriate self-scouting is underway with an eye towards changing. Pegula has a lot going on personally, so it's not fair to expect him to face the media about it, but can you imagine a scenario where the Cowboys get completely steamrolled as home favorites in the playoffs and Jerry Jones says nothing about it? Fans invest a lot of money, time and emotional energy into the product and it's frustrating not to hear that there's still an expectation of championship-level football, and not to see some evidence of accountability from the organization after what happened. Frustration is completely understandable. Part of having a committed fanbase - a mafia - is a venting of frustrations when expectations aren't met and accountability isn't owned. If the OP doesn't like all of that - see you in September.

Or he got feedback in his OC interviews that he should learn different offensive schemes; Petersen runs more of a WC offense.

Attrition by subtraction.

Is the OP actually proposing we trade for a running back with a $14M cap number? Please go on record if that's actually the take, it's legendary.

Sure, if you’re willing to pay my hourly rate.

Dude stop. You’re playing word games and you know it. AJ Brown and Jalen Ramsey are premier players at premium positions regardless of their AP honors. Roquan Smith and the guards are not premium positions. JC Jackson was undrafted.

Top-tier starter. A player you’d sign to a second contract at market.

Core player?

Sure if All Pro is your measuring stick.

Beane generally has drafted high floor players, many at non-premium positions. It skews the overall results in his favor, because many of his draft picks are still in the league. But other than Allen he has yet to hit a grand slam at a premium position in the draft. Rousseau is trending that way. Oliver has been too inconsistent. Epenesa and Basham and Ford are trending toward busts. Elam is an unknown but still feels like a panic pick. He drafted one great offensive linemen and traded him away for peanuts. Other than that, he's drafted a bunch of serviceable players at non-premium positions who remain in the NFL. Straight down the fairway - except last year's draft, which was a disaster at the worst possible time. He needs to start hitting on high-ceiling premium players or the talent gap between the Bills and their rivals is going to widen.

UPDATED - v3.0 (FINAL) on p.13 - Gunner's 2023 Mock Draft
Coach Tuesday replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very nice work. My biggest quibble is what you’ve got going on with Atlanta and Carolina. The Falcons can’t risk the double-whammy of passing on one of the top QBs AND letting their division rival get him instead. That is GM suicide. There’ll likely be a trade up there so it’s probably moot but if not, that scenario seems impossible to me. -
Josh = Phil Rivers (just messenger)
Coach Tuesday replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s one thing to compare the organizations but it’s insane to compare the players. Rivers was a trash-taking immobile anticipation thrower with a mid-range arm. How the hell is that Allen? Again - I loved watching Rivers play but it’s nothing like watching Allen play. Spanos is an aloof cash-poor owner. They had LT in his prime but never built a great offense around Phil. Defensive-minded coaches until Lynn came along. So maybe the organizations compare? This is a waste of a thread. -

I like Rivers. Huge fan. Would be fine with it. If Rivers’ arm hadn’t fallen off he might’ve won a championship. -

Death, taxes, and Beane throwing his second round pick in the garbage. -

Curious why you think this? The only value FAs Beane has brought in have been on the o-line (D. Williams, for a minute) and D. Jones. That's it - every other free agent spend has been at the market high and/or a flop. They've actually done a TERRIBLE job in free agency. -

He has been dropping these turds and closing the door going on a decade. Rarely defends the point he’s making, just waits a few days then drops another turd. And here I am, one of the flies. -

I love when posters try to support a point they're making by describing how they've made the same point elsewhere. "I was just saying to my brother the other day ..." Hey that's great. I guess if you said it last year it must be etched in stone by now. -
Dawkins, Saffold and Knox added to Pro Bowl
Coach Tuesday replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good, Saffold should have no trouble swindling his next team with these accolades. Hopefully it's the Jets.
