  1. Marrone is just an a-hole, plain and simple. As I said repeatedly during those years, Doug Marrone would rather lose doing things his way than win doing things any other way. He's just a jerk.
  2. WHOA: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2017/2016-defeats We like to think that our readers are the smartest, most well-informed group of football fans out there, but odds are a lot of you are scratching your heads right now and asking "Who on earth is '52-P.Brown?'" That would be Buffalo linebacker Preston Brown, who has quietly started 46 of 48 games for the Bills since he was drafted in the third round in 2014. Brown hardly fits the profile of a big-play defender, with only three interceptions and one sack in his career. But Brown did a little bit of everything in 2016: Twelve run tackles for loss. Nine run tackles for stops on third or fourth down, including four with 1 or 2 yards to go. Seven tackles on completed passes for third-down stops. One tackle for a loss on a completed pass. One sack. One forced fumble.
  3. The Jags are stacked with good young depth. If Bortles can cut his INTs in half, they're a playoff team. Which sucks because Saint Doug will be credited for the turnaround.
  4. But if you subtract JM2009's posts, there are only 17 pages in this thread.
  5. I'm sure that's true. I'm sure Whaley and Rex had similar discussions with the Pegulas, and the pressure increased pretty quickly.
  6. I've thought from the beginning that they'll figure out a way to get both. The Ravens are a pro organization.
  7. All fine and good for Beane to take a long-term approach, it's the right one and I'm sure the Pegulas told him he's here to build for the future. But I suspect he'll find out in the middle of year two that he's under more pressure than he had thought. This fanbase isn't going to take two or three more years of suffering.
  8. Lightly flour the steak cubes before you sauté them.
  9. They'll have plenty of room next year (2018) even if they sign Maclin. This is a non-issue.
  10. Buffalo boasts Burmese food that is some of the best I've ever had.
  11. The Ravens need him more than we do, and they're a much better passing offense. I expect him to sign there.
  12. That does it, you're on ignore. I feel better already.
  13. Huh, that's not how I view him at all. He didn't get separation last year because (I think) they run a horizontal offense in KC and he had some kind of lower body injury. But IIRC in Philly he used to get separation all of the time, especially on mid-range in-breaking routes.
  14. Maclin is more like Lee Evans than Peerless. Plenty of speed but can operate underneath as well.
  15. Correct. If you're going to take chances like that you need to stockpile draftpicks to spread out your bets. Whaley never understood that.
  16. Fine, but in the broader context, Whaley took too many shots with too many important draft picks.
  17. I'm talking about a feature that would let you jump to posts with links in them. Maybe you an assume that we all know your tired position on Tyrod and none of us ever want to hear it again.
  18. For threads like these, I wish there were a way to skip ahead to the posts that contain actual links/updates. I hate having to wade through the Tyrod debate in order to find actual news.
  19. Excited to see how much his trick shots improve with a full offseason of strength, conditioning, and footwork drills.
  20. Completely different players. What are you talking about? Maclin is a speedy playmaker who keeps safeties honest. He was miscast in a horizontal KC passing offense. That signing never made any sense to me. He's nothing like Bobby Woods.
  21. Wow, does this ever describe me.
