    Really bad owners which is a shame because they seem like good people. But they hired/retained bad GMs who were in over their heads and then let those GMs plunder their way through lost season after lost season in the NFL and NHL, and I've seen no sign that they're learning.

    Correct. They just killed Tyrod's career and my concern is they may not even know it - they may genuinely believe this could work. Think about how terrifying that is.

    And what's with this "scheme fit" nonsense? Who was it who decided to bring in coaches with schemes that are apparently so inflexible we have to trade away our best young players? I'm telling you this is madness. And Beane is naive if he thinks Terry has the patience for a four year rebuild. Not a chance.

    Folks hyping up Matthews because of his "availability" don't understand the impact that Sammy had on opposing defenses who had to gameplan for him and account for him on every play. Matthews is a JAG. Defenses can now key on Tyrod and Shady, and both will have a very difficult time being successful this season.
