  1. Well but actually - warmer weather and playing on grass are both better for soft tissue/flexibility, I'm fairly certain. So maybe that's what he meant. I used to hate L.A. but the last few times I've visited I've fallen in love. Great food, great bars, and you throw up a tennis ball and it's going to land on a "10."
  2. You're sick in the head man. Seriously, don't reproduce. America: the Series Finale. The Visigoths have crashed the gates.
  3. Better check your facts about who did the driving and murdering...
  4. That's my issue. Trade Shady, build around Sammy.
  5. Been saying it for years - focusing on Teams is a form of roster and coaching arbitrage that few teams take full advantage of.
  6. Establish a character-based culture of team players who commit to the process and put the greater good before their individual interests. Install systems that will help ensure sustained success and that don't depend on any one or two "star" players (i.e., a complete rejection of Whaley's "six star players" approach). Place a value on positions, types of players for each position, and specific players on the roster and stick to that value even if it means losing the player to a higher bid. Look ahead strategically to trends within the league, the upcoming draft and free agency pool, and the cap situation.
  7. I hope Dallas hosts it - this would ruin Jerry's draft event.
  8. You really are bi-polar dude.
  9. And if - IF - the owner has the patience to see it through. We don't know that, yet. In addition to being in a good cap situation going forward, (i) there are a number of good WRs hitting the market next offseason, and (ii) Brady is in the twilight of his career; by the time the 2018 draft picks start producing, Brady might be retired and the Bills may actually have a shot.
  10. Spelling genius wrong - legendary.
  11. Good post. I'm not convinced - but you laid it out nicely.
  12. "Could have used the resource" is a red herring when you consider the resources they gave up to get Watkins. They undermined their opportunity to build the proper foundation to make that trade successful.
  13. And he was right - and his comments were a natural and foreseeable result of horrid planning by Whaley and Brandon, squandering high draft capital to bring in a puzzle piece that couldn't properly be used because there wasn't a foundation in place, i.e., a competent QB and an offense that would maximize the talents of a WR with his skills. Whaley was an absolutely horrible GM.
  14. 40,000 posts of pure drivel.
  15. It's not going to be any different than seeing Marshawn Lynch and Jason Peters finish All Pro, Hall of Fame careers on other teams, while the Bills spent years and tons of draft capital chasing their replacements. It sucks. The Watkins trade will have echoes for years to come, as the Bills spend high picks trying to find a WR with his skills and he puts up monster numbers on another team.
  16. Yes, the Bills have a tendency to screw up these kinds of situations. Having extra high picks can make a team more willing to take "risks" with their picks, i.e., picking John McCargo with an extra first-rounder. That said, they brought real quality into the scouting and personnel department this offseason, so I'm cautiously optimistic...
  17. Folks joke about the constant discussion of comp picks around here - but if the Bills DON'T take steps to get that late 3rd round pick, after yesterday's trades, I'm going to be absolutely livid. And as I type that, I know that they'll end up keeping that human pylon Ducasse and ruin their chance to get that extra 3rd. Because Buffalo.
  18. It's the grammar that pisses me off more than anything, there. Also - I don't think it was "injuries" per se. I think it was controllability, including with respect to his training and workout regimen. Sammy refuses to take direction about how to prepare his body during the offseason and, combined with the explosive way he plays, it results in significant wear and tear on his lower body. I don't know, but I'd be willing to bet, that the new training staff already had become exasperated by Sammy's lack of buy-in to their strength and conditioning program. Still hate the trade, though...
  19. On the bright side, we finally got Sammy into space...
  20. The Bills will not unearth another talent like Sammy in a very long time.
