  1. Kelly, I expected your "loaf of bread" rant here...
  2. SF, Baltimore, NO, Jets, Lions, KC, Dallas, AZ, Chicago, Tennessee, Houston. The Jets have something like $100M to spend this offseason, need receivers and need to make a splash. Miami already has Stills to run deep routes (and Tannyhill doesn’t throw deep anyhow), and NE has Cooks (although I bet BB likes Sammy more than folks here think). Someone will give him a monster contract, I have no doubt.
  3. The NFL has no shame whatsoever about putting horrible officiating on display every week.
  4. The Ravens would be wise to take him. They drafted Tyrod under similar circumstances and LJ is a similar - but much better - player. Flacco will be phased out over the next 1-2 years and then LJ can step in and dominate.
  5. No income tax in Nevada, right?
  6. And I'd add Hauschka to that list. This team doesn't win 9 games without Hauschka - more like 6 or 7.
  7. This was quite a signing, Poyer too. It's remarkable that they found two Pro Bowl-caliber safeties in the same offseason, at affordable prices. Really something.
  8. So here's an angle: SALARY CAP VIOLATIONS Brady is paid under market. But the team also pays consulting fees to Brady's company TB12 for training services etc. A portion of those fees must go into Brady's pocket as part owner. Isn't this a violation of the salary cap?

  10. Eh, I want to get excited about this but I can see it being yet another “challenge” that the Patriots overcome on their way to a championship - they keep overcoming these things both on the field and off, and it ends up just augmenting their dynasty narrative. But hey, maybe this time karma finally wins.
  11. You're more than welcome here. Ignore the mouth-breathers, we have a lot of them here lately.
  12. For those of us who stopped paying attention to this thread about 128 pages ago, can someone please summarize where we ended up?
  13. The Haleys seem like complete nutjobs but maybe kind of fun to party with, until they start to get dark and rowdy?
  14. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2018/01/02/Steelers-coach-Todd-Haley-injured-in-fall/stories/201801020112 Sure, he was injured in a fall. Sure. I wonder if Todd is hitting up the hotel bar scene again...
  15. I’ve been on that bandwagon since October and I was on the Russell Wilson bandwagon too.
  16. Anyone else get a bit choked up reading that?? Man, I must be getting soft(er).
  17. Gotta disagree - bringing this franchise to the playoffs in his first year as a HC will buy McD some much-needed credibility.
  18. Maybe if he’s hobbled he’ll dance less and actually run the plays that are called. I love Shady but he was having one of his worst games ever yesterday - he was running in the opposite direction than the play calls on multiple occasions and getting stuffed for negative yards each time. He also seemed bothered by the Dolphins’ headhunting and overall chipiness. He was grousing at Tyrod for failing to audible out of a couple of runs that resulted in big stuffs for the defense. And then he acted like his leg was snapped in half (and seemed to suspect that it was intentional), which we now know was just an ankle sprain. It was not his finest afternoon as a pro...
  19. Yup. Wouldn’t surprise me if it came out that the Dolphins had some bounty action going on.
  20. Hating someone in the media because they have a different opinion than you: America 2017.
  21. Yes, if you assume the opponent would’ve otherwise scored on at least some of those drives, but carry on...
  22. The NFL is lying to fans, sponsors, and stakeholders about the replay standard. This is serious. The NFL doesn't take it seriously. It needs to be forced to.
