  1. Yeah it's Benoit not Breer - Benoit is pretty good at breaking down film. Breer is plugged into the league for news, etc. Brandt offers excellent salary cap and front office-related content due to his time in the Packers organization. MMQB is a great site.
  2. Social media is a curse.
  3. So the Chargers were forced to settle for Derwin James, who as a rookie was probably the best safety in football....
  4. You keep doing this - why?
  5. you're Also, Goff floated that first pass to Cooks in the endzone, giving McCourty time to cover ground and break up the play. Big miss. Just make the plays that are there to be made and you can win games against anyone, including the Pats.
  6. Gilmore was running the Rams' routes last night, which is a testament to his film study and preparation (an overlooked aspect of his game when he was in Buffalo).
  7. So weird. To me this game came down to the fact that the Rams are a new team with a fickle fanbase that didn't really travel for the game. The Patriots' fans were there in droves and they were loud - it felt like a Patriots home game. When the Rams were on offense it was loud, and it definitely impacted their ability to execute. Couple that with the fact that they're younger and perhaps less mentally tough (specifically, players like Goff and Gurley) and the result was not surprising.
  8. Sometimes I wonder if Bills fans get exactly what they deserve.
  9. They are going all in for the first pick in 2020.
  10. The Bengals will take this guy in the second round and he'll be a wrecking ball for them like Geno Atkins.
  11. He's another Ereck Flowers. Soft.
  12. I actually bumped into him on the street in Tampa last weekend and he seemed very nice!
  13. Rex just didn't want to work - he convinced the Pegulas to let him hire the biggest coaching staff in the league so that he wouldn't have to do the grinding himself. Should've been obvious at that point.
  14. I knew they had given him the full-court press. He was the McVay of the 1990s - his schemes on offense were incredible and innovative. Washington killed his career, just like it's done to many others (except, oddly, McVay).
  15. Having followed his career from the A’s onward and having had the opportunity to meet and talk with him in person, I can safely report that you have no idea what you’re talking about.
  16. He said it to Dorsey, not Haslam, but it was still Hue-ish. This is a great article, one of the best I've ever read on management dysfunction in pro sports. Just fascinating. Lots for me to process still.
  17. It’s just not good value or resource allocation. What’s more, it would take either extreme stupidity or giant cajones to spend a top 10 pick on a part-time running back in a “win or else” year for this regime. Plus Shady is making $8m. They’d have to be insane.
  18. Religion is kind of a conspiracy theory if you think about it - the idea that chaos and apparent disorder and injustice are in fact the work of some invisible guiding hand...
