    As I said in another thread, Epanesa reminds me of Super Mario Bros when the magic mushroom wears off and Mario shrinks in size. He looks shockingly different than he did in college and he’s being totally washed out of most plays by the opposing lineman.

    Lack of pass rush is by far the biggest problem right now. You can correct mistakes in execution. But it’s hard to fix a lack of talented pass rushers. Jerry Hughes may have lost a step. Not sure the Eric Washington hype was warranted.

    This is really well-said. They need to own it and move forward. Have not done a good enough job filling depth on defense and hitting on draft picks and FAs. DJ Reader is out for the year but they couldn’t land him. Darius Slay. A few linebackers who can actually run. They missed this offseason.

    They weren’t prepared tonight end of story. Frazier should be dismissed, he is unable to prepare a game plan or make in-game adjustments. Other than Allen this team lacks fire and focus and they’re not a Super Bowl team until they suck up some heart.

    I think there’s something to it. Don’t think it’s overt. But I do think there’s been a general uneasiness about this game from much of the roster and the inactives make you wonder if some guys are less motivated to push through some pains against a physical and fired up road opponent. I’m a bit disappointed with the intensity and focus but hopefully Allen gets them jazzed up.

    Not apples to apples. Herbert has two of the best big WRs in the NFL and a solid o-line. Allen in his rookie year had the same talent level around him he had at Wyoming.

    Burrow is as advertised right now, above the shoulders he’s already top five in the NFL. Problem is they are going to get him killed behind that line. Watching him run for his life yesterday (7 sacks and took a brutal pounding) I started wondering if he’ll pull an Andrew Luck and peace out if they don’t fix things in a few years. He’s too smart to put up with that nonsense.
