  1. I think it was a halfback pass. Seriously. Running back was going to catch the ball seven yards behind the LOS and then throw it downfield. Incredible.
  2. McD has to work hard to make sure his assistant coaches are coaching sound and efficient football and not experimenting with nonsense to pad their personal “genius” resumes. You had two teams with suspect o-lines today, only one of them had a good game plan to account for it. I’ll sum it up: Brian Daboll needs to get his head out of his a$$.
  3. Star would’ve made zero difference today. Huge cap hit for a non-difference maker.
  4. Need to learn to handle high expectations. Every game is gonna be tough this season bc opposing teams know they have to play their best. Young QB and young coaches need to get their mental right.
  5. He literally cannot. He’s so unathletic.
  6. Coaches aren’t ready for a Super Bowl season.
  7. This team might be a Wyatt Teller away from eliteness.
  8. Allen is not in sync with this game. Daboll and the line aren’t helping him much but this is a really crappy QB performance.
  9. I will worry about this a slight bit later this season when he’s preparing for his first Super Bowl.
  10. (cap)space eater
  11. Power running and WR screens, tons of them.
  12. Correct, I don’t claim to read peoples’ minds. When they release him on June 1, 2022, please remember this take.
  13. I think many of us understand the role Star is SUPPOSED to play. He rarely plays it. You can’t evaluate a player in a vacuum. Because of scare resources and a salary cap, personnel decisions have opportunity costs. Signing Star and paying him what they’ve paid him cost them other opportunities. That’s a fact. Viewing the investment they’ve made in him compared to what he’s actually given them, there is no way that they’re satisfied. Some of it was beyond their control, but that’s what happens when you overpay. Separately I have my suspicions about whether the guy actually loves football, but that’s another matter.
  14. Correct. Although I have doubts about his “impact on the game,” agree it’s a separate point. The issue is he takes up a lot of cap relative to his actual contribution (availability).
  15. Someone explained it earlier - basically to avoid a huge cap hit they have to wait until next offseason. The opt-out killed their plan.
  16. I suspect they planned to cut Star last offseason (or at least force a paycut) but then he opted out and screwed that plan.
  17. Lol “workhorse.” Sure, a workhorse who never shows up to work.
  18. There you are, our resident weather vane pointing in the exact wrong direction at all times. Star’s opt out last year froze his salary and limited their flexibility. He sat out and didn’t even get vaccinated! Now he’s back but has a soft tissue boo boo and is once again clogging up space - under the salary cap, not on the field. On a per-dollar basis no one has been worse for the Bills than Star over the past three years. No one.
  19. Star has been such an albatross. Terrible, awful signing.
