  1. He was consistently putting his hands on his man down the field. He was more often than not with his back to the ball. The PI penalties were obvious fouls. Idk what game you were watching, but Elam was atrocious. And against the worst WR core in Football.
  2. Welp. We saw more of Elam. Do you guys want to see even more?
  3. Welp. You all wanted to see more of Elam.
  4. I don't see how he could have seriously hurt his Right Hand on that play. I could see an elbow/funny bone type thing or maybe a pinched nerve. But his hand doesn't take any force to it directly. Here's hoping it's just something minor 🤞
  5. What happened to Khalil Shakir? Dude made the most difficult catches look easy all year. The past couple games he's been missing catches and securing catches that were automatic before. Does he have the yips now?
  6. I could have sworn there was a James Cook TD run in there...
  7. I know we're decimated along the Secondary and at LB. But Dear Lord the past 2 weeks and the beginning of this game has been atrocious Defensively. I was ready to excuse the Rams full strength Offense all playing the games of their lives and then the #1 Offense in Football running through us. But if we can't get a stop against the Patriots, even in the shape we're in? We got problems.
  8. There's a lot of punching bags on this board when it comes to the Defense. But Terrel Bernard is one I never hear talked about and he's been awful for a number of weeks now.
  9. Of course it's unethical. But at the bottom of a pile of humanity, it's impossible to see who the offender is. So it's anything goes, especially if a game is on the line.
  10. Even still, of the 14 will be Playoff teams - we're currently 10th in Priority. Meaning as it stands right now, 9 Different Playoff Teams could put in a claim and get him before we would. And it's possible with our schedule down the stretch that we could fall further down the waiver priority.
  11. Looking at Spotrac, they list the potential 'Out' as after next season. He has a 9.1m Cap Hit with a 11.25m Dead Cap Hit next season. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/21781/curtis-samuel
  12. It makes sense. But we're getting to a point where it's a tough call as to who to cut to make room even on the Practice Squad. Of our 17 players, 13 of them have been called up at least once or were even on the 53 man roster. It's pretty loaded: QB Mike White #14 RB Frank Gore Jr. #20 WR Jalen Virgil #89 WR K.J. Hamler #19 WR Tyrell Shavers #80 TE Zach Davidson #84 OL Will Clapp #61 OT Richard Gouraige #75 OL Mike Edwards #65 DE Kingsley Jonathan #59 DT Eli Ankou #51 DT Zion Logue #93 CB Daequan Hardy #25 CB Te'Cory Couch #33 S Micah Hyde #23 S Lewis Cine #36 S Kareem Jackson #27
  13. Fair point. But with Mahomes week to week and then having two AFC playoff teams coming up on the docket - the 1 seed is more in play than it was before this weeks slate of games. I don't know that now is the time to put it in cruise and experiment. Especially given that he couldn't finish the game and he hasn't looked very good in relief when called upon before that game. The secondary gave up 494 yards and 5 TD's through the air against the Lions. As bad as the Rams game was, our secondary gave up 320 yards and 2 TD's. That's 174 more yards and 3 more TD's giving up by the Secondary in this outing than last week. Is that all on Elam? No. But I don't know how you can look at a game where we have up just about 500 yards through the air and say that Elam stepped up to the plate. Douglas had a bad game and Elam didn't play well either.
  14. I can see the merits of Bishop for Hamlin - in theory. I think Hamlin is more regularly reliable right now than what Bishop has shown. But I don't think Bishop is far off in terms of ability right now and has MUCH larger room for growth. However, this isn't a move i'd be willing to make this late into the year. He doesn't have the experience right now. Hell, the guy got a full games worth of NFL Football and had to be carted off the field with cramps. But Elam for Douglas is just a baffling question to me. Douglas had a rough outing against the Rams. But it's not like Elam fared much better against the Lions. And there's no question week to week who the better CB is. Benching a healthy Douglas for Elam is laughable.
  15. In his presser after hitting the 61 yard game winner against the Dolphins, he was asked if he did anything differently for such a long kick? I remember his answer being that it doesn't matter if it's 20 or 60 that he lines up and kicks the ball the same way every time. I thought that was a really weird answer and couldn't possibly be true. But if that's true, it'd explain why his short kicks often get f'ed up.
  16. OC of the top scoring Offense in the entire NFL. Put 42 up on us. Us putting up 48 doesn't make him or the Lions failures. File this one under 'When you're hitting that "Heyayayay!" bottle too hard'
  17. Exactly this. Opposing D-Coordinators are going to focus coverage and put their best CB on him. Josh is going to go to whoever is open. Case in point, Ty Johnson having a 100+ yard Receiving game. Brady has emphasized this since he's taken over for Dorsey. This is in large part why Diggs fell off and why he wanted out. Luckily, Cooper thus far seems to be more of a team player and just happy to be on a winning team vs. Diggs who demands being a focal point every game.
  18. I don't get that call. Either go for the 66 yard FG in the Dome or go for the Hail Mary.
  19. Nantz: They've brought out the cart for Khalil.... Me: Oh God No! Nantz: Dorsey Me: Oh thank God! ... I mean, that's terrible. So sorry for that young man.
  20. Kareem Jackson was elevated from the Practice Squad.
  21. Considering he's one of only 3 Safety's active - I don't see how it's possible he won't see the field at least a little bit. Cole Bishop and Cam Lewis probably aren't both going to play 100% of the snaps on Defense and Special Teams.
  22. The ratio probably speaks to that. On Offense, they're loaded at all the positions with stars that are holding it down. On Defense, they need more bodies to keep fresh bodies on the field to help make up for underperformance. It's like the old adage goes, if you've got a lot at a position, you probably don't have many studs.
  23. Yeah, 12 for the 4 man Defensive Line vs. 8 for the 5 man Offensive Line is kind of wild. I get that the D-Line is rotated. But 12 seems a little high for the D-Line and 8 seems a little low for the O-Line. The roster breakdown of D vs. O is a little wild in general too. 28 rostered on Defense v. 22 rostered on Offense (remaining 3 for K, P, and LS).
