  1. Yeah, listening to him this morning was painful. It's his job to spin things positively, but he came across to me like he was saying: "Listen, Bills fans are always going to buy tickets. No matter what we decide to do, you shmucks are still coming in. So I don't care what you say, we're staying the course". I, honestly, fear that they think they've already hit rock bottom. That the fans that are still sticking around are going to stick around no matter what. So as long as they're profitable (and they are), they're successful in his eyes. I'll give them the chance to right things at the end of the season. But i'm growing less and less a fan of the man.
  2. Here's hoping he's got some more music video payday opportunities. I always liked The Senator. But he's an aging overachiever. His best days are behind him and he's become a liability.
  3. NBC Sports is running with it now too - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/08/vick-could-land-in-buffalo-next-season/ They cite the original Yahoo! piece. But, interestingly enough, Mike Florio claims they've "likewise been hearing this". Perhaps there's some fire to this smoke?
  4. So was this Schefter just speculating on good fits or did he say that we've reached out to him? I can't seem to find anything linking Buffalo to Stanford Routt anywhere (beyond his initial visit in the offseason).
  5. Hey, we're doing something right. Blue Jerseys = White Pants White Jerseys = Blue Pants THAT'S IT! I have no idea what genius decided White on White looked good. And don't even get me started on the Blue on Blue from the Donahoe era......
  6. If I had to guess, i'd say that when Stevie went down with the "contusion" they got scared. Because if you really think about it, there's him, Donald Jones, T.J. Graham (who's only real strength is as a downfield receiver; i.e. useless), Brad Smith (Journeyman WR at best), and Ruvell Martin (Special Teamer who is USELESS as a wide receiver). We should have done this a while ago, in my opinion. We don't have enough WR's.
  7. That's quite the leap to take. "Bill Polian says you can't win the Super Bowl with a "game manager" QB. Ergo, Bill Polian just said Ryan Fitzpatrick sucks". Don't get me wrong, he does suck. But I was really hoping this post had Bill Polian specifically calling out Ryan Fitzpatrick. Not even close. Very misleading topic title.
  8. Ron Brooks looked REALLY promising in Training Camp. Not so sure about this Rob Brooks guy though.
  9. Ugh. This constant "I can fix this problem child!" attitude that they have comes across really smug to me. I hope he works out as well as Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ocho Cino did for them.
  10. Not neccessarily. Perhaps they feel that they need someone to come in and throw the deep ball from time to time. Someone not named Brad Smith. If they cut him before they noticed that was a SERIOUS problem with Fitz, why wouldn't it make sense to bring VY back? Or as I mentioned before, what if Tarvaris just isn't cutting it right now and they want a little more insurance than Tyler Thigpen?
  11. Maybe Tarvaris Jackson is REALLY not working out and they want to wipe their hands of the experiment. Maybe Thigpen is REALLY looking bad in practice. Worse than usual. Maybe one of them got hurt recently. Who knows. If we need a QB, it's obvious this staff prefers to call guys that they've already worked with recently (i.e. Shawne Merriman, Johnny White, etc.). If any of those scenarios are what's going on, I wouldn't be opposed.
  12. Uh.... yeah. He had two sacks and a bunch of key plays against Arizona. He would have had at least one more if he didn't accidentally horse collar Kolb and have to let go or give up a penalty (which was a pretty heads up play). That was his last showing. So at this moment, he's playing well until he proves otherwise. You choose to pour dirt on Shawne. That's your prerogative. To me, I think everything happens for a reason. And I just have a gut feeling that he'll look good if given the opportunity. But, silly me. Optimism surrounded by cynicism sounds like insanity. I get it.
  13. Who knows, this could be the wakeup call the guy needed. A few days ago, he thought his NFL career was over. Legitimately. We cut ties with him and nobody was calling. He had a tryout with the 49ers (I think) and that was it. It may have lit a fire under him. The "Now or Never" type. I didn't think much of this move beyond depth, at first. But listening to both Merriman and Gailey talk in their pressers, it sounds like "Lights Out" is going to play. And I think we could be surprised with what comes of it in his limited reps. Especially if Mario stays hot on the other End spot. He is known for being "streaky", after all
  14. What about Raven?!
  15. The Eagles or Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham on drums = Game Over
  16. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Exclusive_Postgame_Locker_Room_Speech/c90a6757-3835-4f61-9543-564c0689c81f "We're brothers! We ride together, we die together!" Tashard Choice is really becoming the vocal leader of this team. It's a pretty cool thing to see. I'm becoming a big fan of this guy. Preach on! Go Bills!
  17. Yep. I don't care if TJ has been running the scout team. Our starter can't connect on a pass beyond 10 yards. It's ridiculous. ..... by the way, why in the blue hell hasn't TJ started to take reps with the second team? It's not like Fitz ever gets taken out.
  18. If they haven't been upping Tarvaris Jackson's reps after Fitzpatrick's performances the past two weeks, Chan Gailey should be fired immediately. Seriously, I don't give a crap if he wasn't here during Training Camp. If they're going to use the "he doesn't get enough reps" routine, then why did they even make the trade in the first place?
  19. I just don't want to see either of these guys end up seriously injured because they pushed themselves too hard. I'd have preferred one of them to have rested up for the West Coast trip. But fugg it; let's go Bills! All in baby!
  20. Most likely talking out of his arse... eh >_>
  21. Yes. I heard the bozo's on GR talk about how he didn't show up on the stat sheets. But dude was being doubled or tripled on every play I was watching him on. Even so, he still made a handful of really impressive plays. The reason our line looked so well was majorly in part to the fact that KC had to pay so much attention to Mario. As long as the DL is explosive as a whole like they were today; Mario's doing his job.
  22. When asked if the Bills were interested in bringing in Plaxico Burress, Buddy Nix said simply and emphatically "no". The Bills will dress T.J. Graham, first and foremost. Perhaps they promote Marcus Easley to the active roster or re-sign Naaman, but that's as far as it would get. If there were a FA WR that Buffalo felt could fit in or even contribute as a replacement now, he'd have been claimed or signed by the team already.
  23. Can't we back out of Fitz's deal if we cut him within the next couple weeks? Based on so far, how do you NOT consider it?
  24. http://www.cbssports...y-at-right-time Regardless of what you think of the show, there's no denying it's pop culture impact. I have no idea in what context it will be in, but it's pretty damn cool that our superstar player will be put into cartoon form! I'm actually a little surprised. I mean, Super Mario is a superstar to us. But I didn't think he had THAT kind of crossover appeal. EDIT: I heard about Mario on Family Guy from his interview with John Murphy and went looking for an online source. I didn't hear about Fitz, nor did I see his name (right in front of my friggin' face; doh! sorry, haven't had my coffee yet). From a team stance, this makes more sense to me. No disrespect to the almighty Mario, I just didn't think that the majority of Family Guy fans would without a doubt know him or get the implied humor by his lonesome.
