  1. I'm still upset with losing out on both Xavier's in the trade downs. Those were my guys outside of Harrison, Nabers, Odunze, and BTJ. That said, the 6th for 5th swap to go from 32 to 33 was a difference of *59* picks. It's much better value than it seemed at first. AD Mitchell and Ladd McConkey still available. As are Cooper Dejean and Johnny Newton. All would have been good picks at 28. And now we have our 3rd back, will have 3 picks tomorrow instead of 1, and could move all over on Day 2 and 3. As painful as it was to not land one of my favorite Top 6 WR's and walk away with nothing, I'm coming around to the plan. Or coping. One or the other.
  2. Where do you see Metcalf or JJ in that tweet? Where do you see Metcalf or JJ being traded other than fan fiction?
  3. Okay. Now i'm PISSED. I was fine with all of this because I figured we'd be able to get Legette tomorrow. We traded Xavier Worthy to Kansas City and Xavier Legette to Carolina. Gave them to them. Those were my WR 5 & 6.
  4. A 6th for a 5th just to take the same player tomorrow night. My dude's just trolling us now. We already had 3 5th Round Picks lol
  5. I wouldn't assume just because we let KC take a WR that means we're out on WR's in Round 1.
  6. They must have told us the WR they wanted and it wasn't our guy.
  7. Huge Iowa and Green Bay fan. Loved Cooper.
  8. Damn, Green Bay not taking Cooper... he'll probably be there for us and it's going to be hard to pass on.
  9. If a team wants a certain WR, they know that's where we're going and we could get hopped just like Green Bay was just hopped.
  10. Terrion Arnold is still on the board. I'd see us taking him before DeJean.
  11. Probably pissed to have fallen this far when most people had him going a lot higher.
  12. Hell yeah Miami taking Chop. I absolutely did NOT want him to be in the conversation for us.
  13. Us? I mean, if the best CB in the Draft is there that should have gone off the board LONG ago and value at WR isn't, you absolutely can. You might not like it. But it would be a great pick.
  14. I mean, it depends. If Verse, Arnold, and Mitchell go before 28 and BTJ is there - I would argue that Newton and DeJean are the next best Defensive players and either on par or rated lower than BTJ.
  15. Ah - missed that. And here's another one lol
  16. All this talk of us trading up or other teams trading up and not a SINGLE trade 16 picks in.
  17. Penix at 8 Nix at 12 Wow. I guess teams have learned nothing about overdrafting QB's in recent years.
  18. We were all on the right path all offseason. Then as we got closer, we all started hyper focusing on rumors and Trade Ups and talked ourselves into something crazy. It never felt like that was something we'd be able to pull off. Back to reality and the guys we were looking at all offseason. Still very good WR's available.
  19. Getting one of the Top 3 guys was extremely unlikely. Chicago made that pick so quickly that even if we called, they probably weren't hearing it.
  20. Bears picked QUICK. My guess is they wanted Odunze and there wasn't a trade they were going to take.
  21. It wasn't going to happen. Arizona would either get a ridiculous, overpayment that was impossible to turn down or they were taking Harrison.
  22. Ugh. This coming off reports of AD Mitchell being Diabetic and requiring extra attention because of it. If both are true and teams are dropping them off the board in Round 1, that takes the only 2 WR's after the Big 3 with a sure 1st Round grade off the board. Here's hoping both are overblown or smokescreens being put out in hopes of one of them dropping.
  23. I think he probably thought about it and realized Nabers falling to 7 is unrealistic. It would require 4 QB's going in the Top 5 plus another team taking a player than the highest rated player on the board at a position of need for them. I would be shocked if either Harrison or Nabers were on the board at 7. Between Arizona, Los Angeles, and New York - at least 2 of those teams are going to take WR or trade out to someone who will.
  24. Of course. The 20th WR in the Draft could end up being the best. But when you have the kind of WR core we have right now, it's possible (if not likely) that there's someone he wants to secure that is considered a safer bet and has better tools to succeed right away. The hole is so glaring (regardless of what Beane says) that it's possible there's multiple teams underneath us that are thinking of hopping ahead of us if we stand pat. And as good as this class is, there's only so many that are considered 1st Round talents. Maybe even less than we think if the stuff about Mitchell's health and habits are true.
