Lets start with the obvious: the Bills cannot pick HCs. Lets see who can pick HCs...Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh had 3 finalists for HC..Mike Tomlin, Ken Whisenhut and Grimm. Whisenhut took the Arizona HC job because he was the odd man out. Came down to Grimm vs. Tomlin, Pitt liked both guys and took Tomlin. Since, both Tomlin and Whisenhut have taken their teams to the SB. If the Pitts Steelers, IMHO the best top-to-bottom organization in pro football, considered Grimm to be a finalist for their HC job, I'm not too proud to accept their table scraps for my team. Grimm was mentioned ever earlier as a candidate for the Bears job, he interviewed and was deemed to need a little more seasoning. Grimm would help us build a tough OL with a strong running game, critical elements necessary to win in the Buffalo weather. We have, already, a decent defense that could use another piece or two to help with run-stuffing, but was otherwise outstanding vs. the pass this year. They were also on the field for more plays than any other unit. If we built a strong OL and strong running game, which I believe Grimm would do, it would only give our D more of a chance to be effective as they would be on the field much less. Next, our best WR is a good deep threat, not much more. If we had a good running game, it should open up the bomb for Evans, no matter who is throwing the ball as the safeties come up in run support. Grimm would lessen the need to find the next Jim Kelly (a task we have whiffed at for 13 seasons) and focus on running the ball and defense. Kind of like how the Jets did this year. Thats my hope and why I'm advocating Grimm for HC.

Bills seek permission to talk to Schotty Jr.

Unless he brings Daddy to coach the team, forget it. Give me the Grimm reaper! -

I figured that type of info was not available in links. But your suggestion that TM was pushing for certain players over others was detailed enough to cause me to wonder. Funny, I thought the Bills organization had opened up a bit since Donahoe left. Donahoe was the one who went all "Captain Queeg" in his final days regarding signs brought by the fans and control of information. Was Guy involved with the draft at all? I don't think so, and believe the draft was a Ralph/Brandon/Jauron/TM show, but could be wrong. Who does TM like this year? Hopefully, a LT prospect. -

This is one helluva post. I gotta ask you where you get your information from. Not denying its veracity, but just wondering where it comes from. -
You can walk into any bar in PA and walk out with 6 packs. Some bars even have a good sleection. Philly is very cool (never lived only visted multiple times when friends were in school there). Congrats on the new job! I know its been a long time coming.

National Championship - Alabama vs Texas

Go Boise! Wait, thats next week's title game right? Er...oh well. -
I gotta ask you for a link on the Maybin info. That is far too explosive to just take at face value. If that was all Jauron, it would absolve Guy/Modrak/Nix from blame for that pick. Please provide something.

If we address LT in free agency (Mankins?), I'm totally on board with getting both McClain and Cody. Pretty nasty front 7 we would have.... Kelsay/Maybin Stroud Williams/Cody Schobel Mitchell McClain Poz Lots of combinations there.
-
I stand corrected, thought it was this year's 1st.

Long time before I'll buy one. Yeah, thats $10,000 right there. And the technology behind it is bull ****. You should have been able to watch with the cardboard movie glasses rather than the expensive glasses. A good article on this is here.
-
As much as I like McClain, big guys over smaller guys...Mount Cody! And how much of McClain's success is attributable to Mount Cody keeping 2-3 guys tied up? Not saying McClain isn't good, but give me the point of attack guy. And Draftek should consider that the Pats* pick right before us, not Oakland, due to the trade of Richard Seymour.

Tick...tick...tick bye-bye 60 and hello filibuster! There is a chance... http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_con...senate_election

Thats how I see our interior OL as well. LT - draft pick/free agent (Mankins?) LG - Levitre C - Wood RG - Incognito RT - Butler
-
And if Rasmussan is correct re: the Mass Senate race, the Dems may lose vote number 60 and we can say goodbye to the health care disaster. Currently Coakley leads Brown by 2% among likely voters...thats a margin of error. http://www.businessinsider.com/upset-in-ma...-of-2010-2010-1

Sorry to Harsh John Adam's Mellow...

I disagree with some of the article....specifically... Now, I have read that 2010 net funding needs will approximate $5 trillion vs. only $200 billion in 2009 (when QE is removed). Thats a lot of money. But what if investors started clamoring for Treasuries? And Treasuries were in great demand? We could fund no problem, right? Even with no rise interest rates. But, what would make investors rush to Treasuries? Hmmmm...an overvalued and overheated equity market correcting itself? Yep, that'll do it. -
Not that hot, IMHO. And if some crazy B word destroys my stuff like that, she'd be out the door.

Or consistently was made to look like a drooling idiot by Belicheat, despite having better talent. Please Cowher, stay in the TV booth.
-
Even in a 4-3 I'd love Cody. Bring back the "Package"..Cody, Kyle and Stroud is a heckuva rotation. Play all 3 at once and let Schobel come off the edge...not too bad. And Norwood in Round 2 would be lethal. Problem is, we desperately need OTs and I think thats where we go in Round 1.

Cushing beats Byrd for defensive rookie...
bills_fan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It makes me want to cry. As does imagining Michael Oher at LT for the next decade. Both Cushing and Oher...passed up in favor of Aaron "I shoulda stayed 2 more years" Maybin. Simply dreadful. Hopefully Nix doesn't whiff on 1st rounders (because we have been decent, I think, in rounds 2-7). -
I feel a board implosion coming on
bills_fan replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why is everyone rockin' Cowher? The guy had the best talent in the NFL, the most support of any owner/front office and was consistently schooled by Belicheat and the Pats* whenever it mattered. Without Dick LeBeau designing a monster defense (for which he should make the HOF); Cowher would never have lasted as a coach. He was outcoached...often. Cowher would be a huge mistake. -
Please interview Grimm...please. After Marty, Grimm is my top choice.
-
And leave Mount Cody on the board? I would vomit!

No doubt, the dollar will fall. But not in the next 12 months. The gold trade was profitable if you got in during the short dip following the demise of Bear and the Fannie/Freddie disaster in 2008 and are now exiting that trade. Long the dollar, short gold. Seems like a pretty good trade for the next few months.
