Brad Johnson has been fine and Weinke is a decent backup. Ward played hoops. Who exactly has FSU produced that was touted so heavily and bombed?

They just hired Martz as OC and already had Donnie Henderson as DC. This Rod Marinelli guy seems to be able to attract good coaches. The more I hear from Marinelli, the more he seems like he's going to be a very good coach.

PTR- Use of the pool is not reserved (at least it wasn't 3-4 years ago). You can go there, hang out, have drinks and use it all day. The talent on a nice day there is the best in Vegas during the day. Reserve a cabana if you're out there with a few friends. Enjoy. http://www.vegas.com/resorts/pools/hardrockpool.html -
Packer is an idiot. Plain and simple. He has made a career of bashing a successful (in terms of wins AND scholarship) program and a great coach. Wonderful. Loser. We will and we do. You guys have owned us lately. You need the win bad, I think the ACC is going to get 6 in (Duke, NCSt., UNC, BC, Miami and Maryland). But you guys need a little winning streak.

I was a member of the Delaware BAC and loved it. They had, at the time, a nice pool, facilities and a great basketball court for pick up games (although I think that has been removed). The girls were terrific eye candy and it was not a suburban health club (Mc-Health Club), which I hate. The place had character and the folks were nice. -
That was a great game. UNC will have a nasty team next year once all those guys have a year of experience under their belts. Only JJ "Best Player in America" Redick saved Duke from the upset. The sequence with Dockery at the end was bizarre. The poll ESPN put up at the end about the greatest Duke-UNC game got me thinking a bit. I'd have to go with 1995, we lost to UNC in 2 OT, but the game was incredible. In Cameron, Capel's bank 3 to send the game into OT, UNC's response, I wish I had a DVD of that one. Oh, and for those who think this series is about hype, I'd say it is one of the two sports rivalries in America that actually beats the hype. The other being, of course, Red Sox-Yankees.

What's w/the yapping about officiating..?

No he didn't. That was an illegal forward pass. Next thing he's gonna say is that no, Bret Hull's skate was not in the crease. -
Lets see...in the past 23 years the two programs have combined for 6 National Titles, 18 Final Four Appearances, play twice a year and are located less than 10 miles away. Yeah, I'd say that rivalry is pretty good... As an avid Duke fan, I say Duke by 7, only because of some late free throws by JJ.

That was cool. I enjoyed that. As someone who can't see the games all that much, does MSG always produce highlights like that? -

Yes you do.... An Irishman in at CB Hannegans bar in Los Gatos leans over to the guy next to him and says, >"Wanna hear a Polish joke?" > >The guy next to him replies, "Well, before you tell that joke, you should >know something...I'm 6' tall, 200 lbs., and I am Polish. And the guy next to me is 6'2" tall, >weighs 225, and he's Polish. And the fella next to him is 6'5" tall, weighs 250, and he's >Polish...Now, you still wanna tell that joke?" > >The Irishman says, "Nah, not if I'm gonna have to explain it three times."

I'm thinking the Duke can be a backup C, the starting LG would either be Gandy for a year or the draft pick (Max-Jean Gilles?), in which case Gandy could play the role that Marcus Price played.

Point is, they are STILL hot, at least hotter than Ron Howard's daughter. Throw Danica Patrick into the mix as well, she didn't make the list, but Ron Howard's daughter did ???

I don't get it, Ron Howard's fugly daughter makes it but Pam Anderson, Carrie Underwood and Demi Moore don't??? C'mon.

And another... Orchard Park (AP) - Anthrax Scare At One Bills Drive Sports Complex Buffalo Bills football practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head Coach Mike Mularkey immediately suspended practice while police and federal investigators were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, FBI forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the goal line. Practice was resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Problem there is that the CBA restricts the amount you can cut a player's salary by from one year to the next. I think its 30%. Even with a 30% cut, its too much money for that fat tub of goo.

Sabres v. Thrashers (1/31)

That is one helluva gauntlet headed to the break. I'd be happy if we went 3-3 through that, although 4-2 would really be nice.
