I was a member of the Delaware BAC and loved it. They had, at the time, a nice pool, facilities and a great basketball court for pick up games (although I think that has been removed). The girls were terrific eye candy and it was not a suburban health club (Mc-Health Club), which I hate. The place had character and the folks were nice.

That was a great game. UNC will have a nasty team next year once all those guys have a year of experience under their belts. Only JJ "Best Player in America" Redick saved Duke from the upset. The sequence with Dockery at the end was bizarre. The poll ESPN put up at the end about the greatest Duke-UNC game got me thinking a bit. I'd have to go with 1995, we lost to UNC in 2 OT, but the game was incredible. In Cameron, Capel's bank 3 to send the game into OT, UNC's response, I wish I had a DVD of that one. Oh, and for those who think this series is about hype, I'd say it is one of the two sports rivalries in America that actually beats the hype. The other being, of course, Red Sox-Yankees.

Lets see...in the past 23 years the two programs have combined for 6 National Titles, 18 Final Four Appearances, play twice a year and are located less than 10 miles away. Yeah, I'd say that rivalry is pretty good... As an avid Duke fan, I say Duke by 7, only because of some late free throws by JJ.

I love E'ville. I go to Fall Fest every year & bought a place up there a couple years back. Its a great little town.

That was cool. I enjoyed that. As someone who can't see the games all that much, does MSG always produce highlights like that?

I'm thinking the Duke can be a backup C, the starting LG would either be Gandy for a year or the draft pick (Max-Jean Gilles?), in which case Gandy could play the role that Marcus Price played.

Problem there is that the CBA restricts the amount you can cut a player's salary by from one year to the next. I think its 30%. Even with a 30% cut, its too much money for that fat tub of goo.

That is one helluva gauntlet headed to the break. I'd be happy if we went 3-3 through that, although 4-2 would really be nice.

My dream offseason in three sentences... Sign Bentley, Backus, and Big Ted Washington (or Grady Jackson). Draft Ngata in the 1st, LG in the second, S/RB in the 3rd. Resign Nate Clements, keep Moulds, cut Mike Williams, Posey and Bennie Anderson.

Why not? Bring him in and take a shot. See if he has anything to offer. Let him compete with KH and JP for the starting spot. Who knows, with a fresh start the talent that made him the #3 pick in 01 may blossom. Worst case scenario, he bombs and you cut him at the end of training camp. I see it as no lose.

Why cut Holcomb? He's decent enough for a backup, can play in a pinch and generally doesn't get rattled. He played 8 games this year, and had one clunker. I agree with bringing in another QB who can play a little, but no reason to cut KH.
