  1. From what I'm hearing Evans and Moulds are wide open. I'm not xpecting JP to be P Manning. I would like him to hit an open receiver once in awhile. Presumably he has thrown a football before.
  2. Down 6 points, WM runs for 15 yards and we run three straight passing plays. Why? Why? Why? Clements/Gilbride has to wise up! I'm fine with balance just do it more with WM. Run L, run R, off tackle, sweeps, between the tackles, etc.... Then you can use the play action. Face it JP cannot complete many passes right now.
  3. It is not just him it is every top pick! Imagine paying Phillip Rivers 7M a year to sit the bench. Face it, when you pick that high you are paying huge dollars. It is just the way the draft works. You can't blame the Bills for that. Looks like we may be overpaying for another college player come April. Hopefully it will be a D-lineman.
  4. Our defense is awful too! I'm not watching the game, I'm listening to it on Sirius radio and it seems NO converts every 3rd down. Also, inside the red zone they are 1/6 or 1/7 at preventing a TD--that is horrible! We didn't need PW to stop the run apparently. It is just so frustrating!
  5. Why don't they just take Willis out of the game and replace him with another receiver?
  6. He took way too much of a beating I thought from a lot of fans and media, but long term JP offers the best option. Bledsoe would have won us more games this year but we would not make the playoffs. And if we did, Noooo way we beat Pittsburgh or New England. You know what Bledsoe gives you. New England did as well and they made the right choice with Brady. Watch as later on in the year Bledsoe will have awful games. Let's just hope JP gets better as the year goes on--look at Leftwich, Carson Palmer, even Eli Manning look better. Just give him time and more experience.
  7. Can't stop the run---that is the biggest problem with this team right now. I don't care about the overall rank--we are last or second to last in the whole NFL against the run. Run and stop the run! We can do the one on offense. I do agree JP has looked abysmal but the D was awful Sunday.
  8. God Bless, stay safe, and thanks for your service.
  9. Agree with some short passes to get both Losman and the WR into the flow of the game. When their CBs are giving you a 10-15 yard cushion take the 5 yard out, the WR screen and run with it. Make them play you tighter! Also it is an easier pass to complete and safer. Get your QB some confidence.
  10. Bill is right---actually the defense has more problems to worry about. Remember the strategy to begin with was ball control (WM 140 yards), a good defense and good special teams. Well, we got 2 out of 3 and the defense played a clunker!
  11. Maybe this is one of those things the GMs know about that we do not--and a big reason Donahoe may have had reservations about TH prompting him to take WM.
  12. It is the QB, sad to say. There are many plays that the WRs are WIDE OPEN! He had Moulds open a couple times during that game in the end zone. I like Losman, but this is what had to be expected. WRs are not the problem. Watching the games live you can see how open they are getting. He just has to make quicker decisions and throw the ball--they are there.
  13. I'm glad we didn't shell out the extra 1.5M/year for Pat Williams! Tim Anderson and Edwards are just as good----oh really?
  14. Atlanta has two CBs who weren't even in the NFL last week. Now they manage to shut down all of our WRs--are we that bad? Losing to Atlanta at home!!! You've got to be kidding me. I thought we had to go 3-1 in the first 4 to have a good chance of making the playoffs. Well--looks like 1-3. One better than the start last year though for those who think the glass is half full!
  15. Are the Bills ever going to be good again?
  16. Just voted and we are up 1 now!!
  17. Agreed on McGahee. He has to hit the hole quickly, like he can. He has great size and speed but he just waits too long. If you noticed during the first game it was when he just went straight ahead that he started gaining yards. No sense in waiting. He is a big guy who can lower his head and gain 2-3 yards when nothing is there.
  18. Incompetent mayor. Just listen to him speak. New Orleans was a poorly run city and quite corrupt. With a natural disaster this size you have to expect casualties. Telling those who couldn't leave to go to the Super Dome and have no plan for them seems kind of shortsighted and foolish to me. They had time and resources (like 500 unused buses) to evacuate those who wanted to go. It spiraled from there. Time to help those we can now and leave the Monday morning QB'ing for another day. All could have done better from local, county, state, to federal--let's leave it at that for now.
  19. Thanks---I missed that in the Globe today. Surprised Boston had anything nice to say about any other city.
  20. Corey Moore was shot in the leg and never recovered.
  21. What an idiot!
  22. Take your pick! Do you want to sign AW for 7M/year? Then say goodbye to Clements. JJ for 7M/year? You can allocate your money only so much for each player. Sign one for too much and then you have to let 2 other players go--it is just the nature of the salary cap.
  23. The local and state response--which is always the first response--was incompetent. It is their responsibility to maintain order and have a disaster plan. Their plan seems to be wait for the Feds to do everything. How can Louisiana have no plan for this? The mayor there is way over his head! Let's stop all the bickering now and just start helping the people and learn some things from this disaster--as we should do from all disasters.
  24. I realize there are those who commit terrorism who are NOT Muslim. But the VAST MAJORITY are! It is a fact--look at it! What did all the 9/11 terrorists have in common? How about the London bombings? How about every suicide /homicide bombing in Iraq? How about the first World Trade Center bombing? How about the USS Cole bombing? How about every suicide bombing against the Israelis? So over 99% are fanatical Muslims! So why waste time on low yield suspects? You have a limited amount of resources to deal with the problem. Therefore you have to concentrate on the most likely targets, and they are young Muslim males 18-35. It is too bad--I agree. But that is the way it is, and that is a pure fact.
  25. He'll learn from his mistakes--don't worry. He still is quite young!
