  1. Good that you didn't...something was wrong with that person. Sounds like the lady might be suffering from something like Alzheimer's disease, John. That sad malady isn't just forgetfulness - it also causes depression, bi-polar behavior, schitzophrenia, the whole gamut of mental disorders as one's brain is ravaged. More and more of such going on, as our lives extend with medical advances. Perhaps too long. My Mother, who died peacefully in the night, was worried that someday she would lose her "buttons". Thankfully, she passed on ahead with her wits intact.
  2. No breaks in the action = no commercials = very little tv coverage = very little opportunity to inculcate the masses about how vital soccer is to them = no trinket sales = no demands for picking the pockets of non-fans to build free places of businesses with public funds to the benefit of owners of teams and the vicarious satisfaction of the fans who want innocents to fund their personal yucks. In no particular order...
  3. Doesn't he have a "baby momma", and was once hauled in for alleged domestic abuse? And still playing on America's All-Angel Team? Tsk, tsk.
  4. Read this. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/j/hialea...ch-republic.htm
  5. Different era. Back then, the man in the street would whack us in the chops it we pulled such, with tacit parental and societal approval. These days, grab a kid's shoulder to jerk them back from getting run over by a car and you are hauled off and declared a sexual predator.
  6. Being 19...and sappy...is normal. Remember?
  7. Not so. Sollie has a keen mind about the game. A very nice and charitable man; when he was in Cincy, he was helpful to many. He is not going to star in a Shakespeare play, true.

  9. My words were untoward, Pete. I apologize for my rash harshness.
  10. I guess VA thinks that those players kneeling after KE's injury were looking for a lost contact lens.
  11. Remember a few years back, when NE* used the so-called "Radar" defense with 2 down linemen...and the Bills doggedly continued to pass against it?
  12. Happy B'day, Gents! And after being out of commission since Thursday afternoon with eye-popping, mood-altering migraines , I am pleased to return and wish Happy Birthday to Master LSI.
  13. The free thinker and the non-conformist, the well-heeled bon-vivant, in their narcissism and self-interest, never quite realize nor care that that they get their yucks on the backs of and by and labor of others. They till no crops. They bake no bread. Yet consider themselves vital. I can expound...
  14. Injuries... They lost a starting DE for 11 games, replaced by another DE they signed to a fat contract. They lost a serviceable pedestrian LB who wasn't going to be on anyone's All-Pro list, for 10 games, and a 2nd round rookie who showed better than his camp competition at the LB spot. And would have gotten an education about playing in the NFL had he not been injured. A RB for 3 games. An intact OL save 1 and one half games missed by the LT. Most clubs would be very happy with so few losses to the starting 22.
  15. The End of Days...
  16. Plenty of positive JP comments here in CIN. He blistered them every time they played...
  17. I like the Lucerne. You can get them with a bench seat, which I prefer. Spacious.
  18. That's alright. You can still post about and praise the OL giving up only 26 sacks even though the Bills were 3rd from the bottom in pass attempts last season, and didn't exactly light up the league with long-developing pass bomb plays. That one, 7th round OT pick will solve any potential problems. Bank on it.
  19. \99% of gamblers lose their hide. I guess TSW'ers buck the trend...
