  1. Perhaps you've seen or read about the long lines for early voting today, in several States. In Ohio, when that happened, Dems cried "disenfranchisement"! early and often. Until 2007. The new Governor, Ted Strickland is a Democrat. The 2007 elections here were very lengthy (whatever party controls the Governor's Secretary of State is in overall charge of the elections.). The lines in 2007 were long indeed - many results normally reported in the evening were delayed until the following day. Or more. Yet, the Dems (who were in control), did not utter the D-word. Can it be true, that standing in line is no longer considered as an assault on a citizen's right to vote?
  2. "You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it."
  3. :wallbash:
  4. happy naked day.
  5. You should sit down on my couch and watch my tv. Not the few minutes of air time McCain gets..the easy 10 to one commercial spot onslaught that the Obama camp pummels with me. "McCain should sue his campaign staff when this election is over". That should be the other away around! Just like the many in the primaries that voted for Mrs. Clinton, there are plenty of Republicans who hold and pinch their noses at this particular slate...
  6. Do you think he wrongly trusted the efforts of the previous, 8-year Administration and members of Congress who were certainly "in the know"? http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/wmdquotes.asp
  7. I'm going back a long time...do you remember KC's "Super Gnat", Nolan Smith? I have a dim memory of him hitting some behemoth's outstretched arm at full speed with his neck and spinning up, around, down, and going splat. Off-topic... Cincy Enquirer Mon-Sat OTC issue price rises by 25 cents per copy. Sun. ed. remains at $1.50. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...WS01/810300406/
  8. Life is very good for IRS receipts from taxation of oil company profits. Not so for the States. Did you miss their carping about reduced tax revenue because the American public was driving less, acting frugally, reducing their gasoline consumption?
  9. Lets not forget Al... http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1998/04/15/gore.taxes/ That link is from CNN. So by default, it is the unvarnished truth. We haven't heard much from Al lately, about his mansion, his jet, his Zinc mine holdings, his OxyPetroleum holdings. Kerry's been pretty quiet, too. Oh well, ketchup sells well in hard times...
  10. I agree. Roscoe's quick moves are best used in punt returns, not picking out possible holes 20 yards downfield.
  11. Very good. Have you considered employment with the DNC? It's profitable - ask TerryMcAuliffe.
  12. It's a long shot. Good as Tasker was, there are a lot of good players eligible...for some time. Reed for one. Also Hershel Walker. At the risk of being mawkish - when I watched him play, I thought of Secretariat. What an absolute specimen he was... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herschel_Walker
  13. They are all real. I live in a town that has Section 8 housing.
  14. You got me, but I was able to delete in time. Matty T for Propaganda Minister!
  15. I'd be pretty ashamed of myself if I was unable to form a definitive opinion about two Presidential candidates 5 days before I went to vote...
  16. One would think that by this time, any eligible voter who is still on the fence might be better off seeking psychological counseling to help them with their inability to come to a decision, instead of going to the polling houses.
  17. Could be. Tip O'Neill was under heat in Massachutsetts when the basketball player Len Bias croaked because of cocaine. And the Dems were smarting over Pres. Reagan's popularity. So he and others of the Dem. congressional majority met in closed quarters for a few months, did not consult with the DOJ or the Courts, and sprung a "gotcha" drug bill on Reagan. The one that had the increased penalties for crack cocaine, now viewed as racist. Reagan signed it, of course...that's how "gotcha" bills are - if he didn't, they would have made quite the stink about how Reagan was now soft on drugs and crime.
  18. Wasn't there a time, not so long ago, when the Dems and their media lapdogs were bewailing how unfair it was that the GOP had such big campaign coffers? No?
  19. Oh No! Just another eponymous aetiological myth? * Rats! This Way to The Egress... * I grew up in a household without Pop Tarts so the government bears full responsibility for my social failings and I expect cash reparations. Soon.
  20. Those things are your taxes at work. Cities and towns go after Federal money grants to improve road safety. Nothing like a blinking sign to do that... My little burg spent their first Homeland Security check compliments of your 1040 on a washer and dryer to launder the chamois' and towels they use to keep their fire engines looking spiffy. Made me feel safer!
  21. Ahh...Change! It will be a boffo hit...very, very chichi!
  22. That's right. The Inner Circle is meeting at the Ritz in NYC Friday for the Halloween bash. See you there?
  23. They should set up failure to use turn signals traps. Every city in America could pave their streets with 24 carat gold if they did that.
  24. The hip Moms Mabley. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BwxgkGKcdc
  25. A toothbrush and toothpaste are surprisingly cheaper than wine, booze, ciggies, drugs, beer, and Pop Tarts. No matter - the government obviously has done a poor job about how to accomplish such a difficult procedure as brushing. There is only so much a Single Mom can be expected to do... But Change is on the horizon. The New Order will go after the corporations that extract excess profit from infective endocarditis, bacteremia, atherosclerosis, oral cancer, pre-term births, and strokes. Change You Can Bite On!
