  1. They put a line on the screen last night, mentioning that Manning has 167 consecutive starts. That's amazing. I'm happy they got beat - an AFC loss, a loss to damage their wildcard playoff chances.
  2. Estate Tax: n., ghoulish. As in seeing a fatal car wreck and walking up and rifling the pockets of the dead.
  3. Sad news for 6 OH small dailies... http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9433VEO0.htm Here in SW Ohio, the Cincinnati Post closed up shop recently. I hate it when papers close up or reduce staff...the local coverage of what the county commissioners are trying to pull off next, school board meetings, this or that rotten little dealing, etc., diminishes.
  4. I would guess he has a hefty pro-rated, several year cap hit assessed to SF per the NFL and CBA union contract rules. Dunno if they can just cut him without taking a cap and signing bonus $$$ big whack...
  5. No to Toyota. No discounts. But it's a good time to buy one if you need/want one. 5, 6, 8K+ off list. Even if gas goes back up, those many other manufacturer's discounts pay for a lot of gas over the long run... Same with pick-ups. Businesses are scooping up these great prices. They see an opportunity to purchase necessary vehicles - and a deductible, depreciable commodity - at much smaller initial cash outlay.
  6. Another deflection on your part. I merely answered your post about shotguns. Another round of your favored derogatory emoticons. You now try to imply that I made comment on this incident with that child. I suspect most here know your M.O. by now...
  7. Why is it necessary for police forces all across the States to be armed with full-automatic M-16s, rapid-fire assault shotguns, 15-shot automatic pistols, tasers, and wear military badges like General's stars and Colonel's eagles ?
  8. You seemingly have no idea how powerful a 20 gauge shotshell is, how successful it has been as a sporting round for decade after decade. Recoil? We are talking about one blast against a human threat, not a sporting endeavor. Your quoting of a marketing angle, and Wiki, no less... Birds? Size? The 20K+ makers of shotguns (Benelli, Pioiti, etc) sell plenty in 28 gauge. You match the size to the game...the size, weight, fit, maneuverability, the ease of raising to battery and targeting of the shotgun to match the task at hand. Home defense "capability"? There isn't a pistol, or very few rifle cartridges, that can stop an intruding human threat as effectively as the energetic blast of the most mundane of .410 shotshell loads... Few survive being plugged by any shotgun.
  9. Ask other clubs. Some have been savaged. I agree about not getting in a snit about a club that is 5-2.
  10. I've never heard anyone call a 20 gauge shotgun a "lady gun"...
  11. They don't have to factor in $1,500 per car or so to pay for the health care of retired employees and their family members, and don't have to deal with unionized workers. Yet they normally get MSRP for their vehicles. Where is Obama here, to change this unfair advantage of this wealthy corporation, support his union campaign contributors, and demand Change?
  12. I've now idea what the current status of T-W spinning off its' cable operations: http://www.daytondailynews.com/e/content/s...lid=inform_artr Perhaps they feel it is in their best interest not to enter into new contracts with new/current content providers.
  13. Is that the former Lou/Don Awald Chevrolet dealership?
  14. I do. We knew to keep away... I am disappointed you didn't see the clever, implied reference to another thread, the sublime irony of my post. You are normally sharper, Tommie Boy.
  15. Maybe he could get a rescue Pit Bull?
  16. ACLU will send him a free gender adapter. Earmark money pays for it.
  17. Have you considered a job with the broadcast media?
  18. JF's future credibility = 0. Clear.
  19. Perhaps even a church organization...true?
  20. Do you advocate prior restraint...i.e., re-institution of FDR's "fairness doctrine"?
