PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
PromoTheRobot replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's the free market. Capitalism. Bills tickets are a commodity that goes up and down in value. -
Northern New England is seeing a great moderation in winters. Last year there were only 2 snow events of over 6 inches (Where I live, an hour north of Boston.) This summer has been unusually hot.

Wife is away. I've got the pool to myself. It's been 85-90 every day. I'm good.

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion

I need to understand something. Why in your mind are season ticket holders obligated to provide affordable tickets to casual fans when the Bills are good? -

I often did go to those less desirable games. Keep in mind I live 500 miles from the stadium. I could only attend 3-4 games anyway. -

For some, the plan is to cover the cost of tickets by selling a few games. When I bought mine in 2003 the season ticket base was around 30K, and there whispers about the fate of the Bills if Ralph passed. So that was one motivation I had to buy; to show support. And even though I really couldn't afford them, I managed by selling off games. And as you can see it was 14 non-playoff seasons I was committing to. -

On the other hand, you don't have a problem buying $6 tickets, if you buy then at all, when the Bills are eliminated from the playoffs? That's the thing,. Season ticket holders are evil and greedy when the Bills are good and ticket demand pushes up prices. But no one cares when they have to eat tickets. -

Maybe it's just for people who are way out of town like me. I'm like you. I have a budget set. I'll get what I can get. I just hope I'm happy with it. -

That's odd because my rep said virtual was an option, but then I'm not a club STHer. -
Should the Bills trust that Tyler Bass will return to form?

Kickers are like goalies in hockey. You never know when they will get knocked sideways. -

At this rate only club seats will be available to the grunts in the upper decks. -
That's happened plenty of times...during the playoff drought.

I hope instead of filling it with dirt and paving it over, they take down the upper decks and keep the lower bowl for high school games and concerts. I don't know if that's practical though. -
I do like hearing the ref chatter during games. And you know what? There were few if any bad calls because they weren't afraid to reverse calls when needed

All UFL coaching contracts expired at the same time. What happens when a coach like Skip Holtz of the 3X champion Birmingham Stallions gets a better offer? https://www.si.com/fannation/ufl/ufl-news/uncertainty-faces-ufl-2025-season-as-head-coaching-contracts-expire

Jonathan Rousseau commits to UB
PromoTheRobot replied to without a drought's topic in The Stadium Wall
Big East doesn't have football. Buffalo doesn't have the athletic budget to compete in, say, the AAC. Travel alone would break them. You have to remember SUNY (the State University of New York system) does not put any value on athletics. They severely limit what coaches can make. Also most states have only a couple of public universities with one massive flagship. New York State has 65 with 4 university centers (Buffalo, Albany, Binghamton and Stony Brook) designated as flagships. So the student population is spread wide. When you think about what they have accomplished over the years, getting ranked in football and men's and women's basketball, with all that going against them, it's pretty amazing. The only way UB takes a big step is if one or a couple of huge donors step up. -
3 years? Doesn't he have more years left? Maybe I'm missing something.

Rock & Roll is becoming like classical music in that respect. Seeing bands perform original compositions. The only difference is we all heard the originals. No one alive heard what Beethoven wanted his 5th Symphony to sound like.
