  1. With our next game at home on a Monday, it's going to be a mini-bye for us.
  2. CJ will decide how far the Bulls go this year. Is he really the best option of the QBs on the UB roster? It looks like there are some very good teams in the MAC this year. UB hosts UMass Saturday at 1pm. "The Battle of the Amhersts!" The Minutemen are going to be official MAC members next year, I think. They are 0-2 but played well against Toledo and Eastern Michigan. This is going to be a "measuring stick" game for Buffalo. FYI there is a $15 ticket special for this game, and the weather is supposed to be glorious. Parking is always free and tailgating (within limits) is allowed.
  3. I'm experiencing just that in regards to the condition of Key Bank Center. Ever since John Vogl of the Athletic wrote about finding broken cupholders and cracks in the floor, there is this narrative that KBC has never been updated in 28 years and is in the verge of collapse. I had an argument with someone on Twitter/X who believed just that, and would not accept the fact the building had 6 or 7 renovations since opening and is going through one right now. It's true that KBC is dated when compared to newer and fancier arenas but it's not falling down. I think it's an extension of frustration over the Sabres and Terry Pegula, who is "the worst owner in history and needs to sell the team!!!" Of course they don't have an answer when it's pointed out Terry also owns the Bills and Bandits, which are pretty successful franchises.
  4. The power of narratives.
  5. I think they are great. I don't know how to describe the view but I sit in 203 and when the line of scrimmage is at the 30, I can see all the linemen, running backs and QB. (No wide receivers.) I feel like I'm a floating camera just over their shoulder. https://www.bushnell.com/inactive-products/spectator-sport-binoculars-4x30/BU-BS1430.html?srsltid=AfmBOoptsRda8thtrfGYatPaoR8xzaKwMnMDSNPhLBcK9B0o90bJpfWW
  6. I don't have an agenda. I said I didn't watch him, only the amount of pressure Murray got.
  7. I was at the game, sitting in the end zone 200's. I use wide field binoculars the entire game. I wasn't focused on Miller, just on how much pressure Kyler Murray was seeing, which wasn't very much. That Miller sack came when Murray tripped on a teammate. Listening to the postgame talk, I was surprised how upbeat people are on Miller's game. I saw nothing special, but again I didn't focus on his game.
  8. What if you are moving backwards, get a toes in , but then the rest of your feet are out of bounds?
  9. Is that in the rulebook or are you guessing? Why is a toe inbounds good but a heel isn't?
  10. Because his heel landed clearly inbounds before the toes landed out.
  11. Jets just got boned on that play. That was a completed pass before.
  12. Sky judge. Actually they screwed up. That was a good catch, The heel was 2nd-foot-in before the tows hit out of bounds.
  13. WTF did I just see??
  14. Except they didn't.
  15. The Steelers offense didn't give up 135 points in 3 playoff games.
  16. I agree TJ is a nice player, but the Steelers have yet to win a playoff game with him, so how much of a difference can he make? In fact the Steelers have been in the playoffs 3 times (17, 20 & 21) with TJ Watt and gave up 42, 48 and 45 points!
  17. No prob. We got Cam & Jam.
  18. Why are you so willing to blow up the Bills future for one player who may or may not make a difference?
  19. Their time will come.
  20. I don't know every detail of Sal's career, but I don't think he won a contest. He had hours of video of his web show and reached out to Alan Roth who gave him a part-time shot WGR. I'm not even sure he's an employee of WGR anymore. I think he works for the Bills and might do WGR as a contractor. I think he also has his own media production company on the side doing high school games and such.
  21. Back when there was a thing called Ustream, he did a weekly Bills show from his basement. Even took calls. He'd get a couple hundred people watching, then more on demand. He was teaching and coaching high school down near Englewood. Took those videos and showed them to WGR program director Alan Roth at WGR. They offered part time, and God bless his wife for going along, they moved to Buffalo for nothing more than part time. fill-in work. The guy just kept grinding to get where he is. It's pretty inspiring to me actually having worked in media. Sometimes you can set a life goal and achieve it. https://cusecommunity.syr.edu/s/1632/17/interior.aspx?sid=1632&gid=2&pgid=4007&cid=7469&ecid=7469&crid=0&calpgid=2223&calcid=4492
  22. It's that time of year, When Joshie visits his kids. Make room for DADDY.
  23. No, but he started his own show online and honed his craft.
  24. OMG, the callers can barely form sentences sometimes! Honestly, that's how Sal Capaccio got his start.
