Why can't it be both? It probably is both. But the Athletic's focus is on one side, the one that damages the reputation of the team owners the most. Have you read this article? https://buffalonews.com/2020/04/19/buffalo-bills-buffalo-sabres-terry-and-kim-pegula-nfl-nhl-oil-prices/ Take a look and tell me if this looks like good journalism to you as well?

and the Layoffs begin @ Pegula Sports

He still has billions (well, used to be billions) in mineral rights. Right now they are near worthless, though I'm sure they will bounce back some. While you can fault their business acumen, I don't fault their reaction to seeing their wealth evaporate. -
Gunner, no one is defending the Pegulas as master business executives. We know. They screw up a lot. But it's odd that you're defending this article as quality journalism while ignoring the history these reporters have. This isn't the first article taking the Pegulas to task for letting people go. They have been piling on for a while. While giving little mention of the dire financial straits they find themselves in. It reeks of a vendetta.

The US price of oil just went NEGATIVE! Below zero. Why should someone whose wealth is based on gas and oil be worried? -

I put up with Ralph for decades because the thought of having no Bills was worse. This isn't enough for me to break out my torch and pitchfork. -

I think we found Tim Graham's new TBD burner account. -

That is likely, but it's equally likely if they were a well-run operation. Frankly, a new stadium may well have just become a back burner issue thanks to Covid-19. -

And let's consider the outcome here. Do we want to run the Pegulas out of town? What happens next? From where does the next multi-billionaire that loves Buffalo come along that won't move our teams? I'm willing to overlook a lot to keep my teams here. -

I agree but I wouldn't trade one for the Bills. -

I wonder if the Athletic will retain their Buffalo bureau once all we have left are AHL and XFL teams? -
So is there anyone you could see the Bills moving up to #31 for?
