  1. I don't think Patterson is slow at all. Part of his skill set is a higher gear he can engage as soon as he gets ahead of a defender. I do wonder if he is NFL material as well. But a good comparison is Brandon Oliver, the current UB RB yardage career leader. He was quite effective for the Chargers until he got injured. Guys built like Oliver and Patterson have a low center of gravity and can shift their weight and change direction on a dime. Look at the clip of his 67 yd TD run from mast night. He juked a tackler while still getting through the line. The ability to make people miss you when there is scarcely any room to start is pretty amazing.
  2. He's only about 700 from Brandon Oliver's career rushing record. He's got a potential 5 games this year to do it.
  3. I remember that day.
  4. Note that pose.
  5. Once he's ahead of you it's over.
  6. From today's Buffalo News: Patterson stat line from three games vs BGSU "Patterson has rushed for 687 yards and 12 touchdowns in three games in three seasons against Bowling Green. Last year, Patterson ran for 298 rushing yards on 26 carries against the Falcons (0-3), and set a Mid-American Conference single-game record by scoring six touchdowns in a game."
  7. He's a Junior so he'll be draft eligible in 2021.
  8. You play who you play. BGSU is not good. But it's nice to see a well executed drive. It's what you're supposed to do.
  9. And there's another national game on CBSSN next week.
  10. I suppose that's true, but there's also something to be said for taking the right job. I mean Michigan opened up right after Nate went to Alabama. If he wasn't in such a hurry he might have gotten that dream job in his home state. If you know you're good, why jump at the first offer?
  11. DraftKings has this game at Bulls -31. O/U 58. UB is averaging 45.5 ppg.
  12. Despite whatever conspiracy the OP sees, Morse has a history of concussions. There was no reason to play him with a bye week coming up. Morse will be ready for the 6-game sprint to the division crown.
  13. Can't hate Turner too much. He got UB to the promised land when it was considered impossible, and everything that happened since was built on his success. But he also didn't believe what he preached. He got out as soon as he saw dollar signs. Neither Kansas or Liberty worked out too well but he's set for life if he's a man of modest means. But I've come to terms with it after Nate Oats skipped town. UB Athletics have never been as good as they are now. So we may lose talent, but we also get good talent to step in.
  14. Add another national TV game. That 4 out of 4.
  15. I think we are getting carried away with our expectations. Josh is already awesome. But no QB is perfect. I'm not sure how much better you can realistically think he can become. There comes a point where other players have to step up, in particular O-line especially in run blocking.
  16. Supposedly that's it.
  17. The Josh-led offense "sucked" their way to 30 points. I'll take that level of suckage any day.
  18. Refs with a Patriots sugar spot.
  19. https://www.ubbullrun.com/2020/11/15/21566388/buffalo-bulls-receive-one-vote-in-the-ap-top-25-poll
  20. And you were correct. Still a net plus day.
  21. You sound like Nate Geary crapping on Josh for 2 picks but sticking up for the defense when they couldn't stop a lost cause.
