List of Bills QBs during the Desolation

Too many quick-fixes and shortcuts. Combined with less-than-stellar coaching and front offices. -
List of Bills QBs during the Desolation

"Of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth." -- Hebrews 11:38 -
$1.1B for what will be a clone of the current stadium sounds incredibly high. Minneapolis built their glass-roofed palace US Bank Stadium right in downtown for the same price 5 years ago. In OP there would be no land acquisition costs. You could also put part of the stadium in the ground which would save some money too. A PS&E spokesman said that figure was incorrect, but did not indicate if it was too high or too low.

But they really need to make some improvements to the game day experience. This year Worcester, Mass opened Polar Park. A new Triple-A downtown stadium for the Worcester Red Sox (or Woo Sox.) I am so blown away by what they did with it. So many simple ideas that are awesome yet no one ever did to that level. For one thing, open concourses where you can see the field while getting concessions. Plus high top tables all along to sit an eat at instead of your seat. They have mini convenience stores where you walk in, grab a beer or soda, or packaged food and check yourself out in no time. Most of the concessions are local Worcester food places like Coney Island Dogs and BT BBQ. Beer gardens for several local breweries, a grass berm with a playground in the outfield where kids can run around. Not everything is appropriate for football but the idea remains: make the stadium more than a seat and a place to piss. Open it all up so people can mill around. Give them good stuff to spend money on. In general, make it a party to go to a game. It's dumb to only give the club seat buyers an upgraded experience.

Public vs Private Financing for All NFL Teams

Where do you get that. I see four that were 100% public. -

You have to determine how many events you could host in a year-round facility. It's a chicken-or-egg thing. There's never been a Final Four in Buffalo, but there's also no venue that could host a Final Four either. Create not just a stadium but a hotel & retail complex ala Patriot Place too. Tell me a OP doesn't need some nicer hotels! "Jerry World" AT&T Stadium. There's probably others. -
Public vs Private Financing for All NFL Teams

There are any number of ways to make this work. It could be 100% public financed but that doesn't mean straight out-of-taxpayer-pockets. There are bonds, loans, tax increments, leases, retail development, meals and lodging taxes, all spread over 30 years. The trick is for the stadium to pay itself off over time. That's why I think it really needs to be a dome. -

Someone called Rich/RWS/NewEra/Highmark Stadium a cement pond. Good analogy. Anything that's mostly in the ground is cheaper to build. That's why I don't get the $1.1B price quote. Remember the old Shaeffer/Sullivan Stadium in Foxboro? Opened the same year as Rich. Cost $6MM. Looked like a high school stadium on steroids. All aluminum benches. THAT was a dump! -
False and false. The NFL would love to move the Bills anywhere bigger and wealthier. And what you are referring to with Ralph was the $400MM poison pill for breaking the current lease before it expires in 2023. After that date nothing stops relocation. You might be confusing an no-move agreement the Sabres have when Tom Golisano sold the team to Terry Pegula. But I can't imagine any such agreement being in effect in perpetuity.

Not as much as you think. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT%26T_Stadium#Timeline Though some of it is considered loans. The real genius is AT&T stadium hosts massive events year round. It pays for itself. Ironically AT&T stadium cost $1.15B in 2009. The Pegulas want the same amount to build an open air stadium. A billion ain't what it used to be.
