I... like this move for the Browns? they basically pick up a 2 and next year #1 for dropping 3 slots. I guess Hunter doesn't help without a QB, and they the Beanian thing of getting next year ammo with a "better" QB class.

It doesn't matter how many picks they own, it's how much value they have. You can pack up everything after 132 and hardly improve the 1st or 2nd round picks. I'd keep those later picks as an incentive to individual scouts to go to bat for a guy they're sold on as being slept on, as often happens in these drafts. Beane isn't omniscient on every prospect but the guys who went to the pro days and interviewed and sifted through the game tapes, they may have an insight, which is what you're paying them for. It's kinda what we're doing on the internet too, trying to find that haystack needle.

Alfred Collins was on the board at the Farmer pick. Most of us would have taken Collins/Revel in some order. Swinson at 109 was obvious as well. Most of the later picks had better options for my liking.

Dont'e Thornton to Ravens at 203, Isaac Teslaa to Dolphins at 224. Picking the safety at 30 had a domino effect on the draft. Mukuba at 132 would have been a coup. Kabeldue at that slot makes a hell of a lot more sense than McLaughin at 169 where you get your WR5 with upside instead. Brashard Smith is fine for 177 until you see Jaydon Blue at 187... I know they didn't do trade ups here but I would hope if Beane sees Chris Paul at 160 he goes and gets him instead of settling for Kobe King at 170.
