  1. Honestly, 1st team All-Pro, you have a very justifiable argument for Lamar. At his position, he or Burrow probably had the best season. You can argue Allen at 2nd team is a stretch even, and the Bills could very easily have 0 All-Pros. Counting stats are a big thing for this. For MVP though, it's Allen by every historical standard. I don't care 1st team QB has always been MVP. If that's the standard then MVP means nothing. Lamar arguably isn't most valuable player on his team. Burrow might be, but did that get the Bengals to the playoffs? Then how much was that worth?
  2. I'd say the most valuable player (MVP) is the player that, if an opponent dedicated all priority to shutting down and succeeded in producing from him a subpar performance, would most negatively impact that team's chances of winning the game. Which makes sense. But how do you quantify that? If you were a defensive coordinator it would be a question of: who is the #1 object of your weekly game plan for that team? The MVP voters aren't coordinators, they are game-watchers and stat-checkers. That said, if stats are your focus, the stats say the MVP of the Baltimore Ravens is Derrick Henry. When he's been contained as described above in 2024, the Ravens are batting .286, which is fine for the Orioles but illustrates a narrative requiring more than a modicum of doublethink to simultaneously claim Lamar is MVP of the league yet not even his own team.
  3. If MVP is always a QB and the 1st Team All-Pro is by definition the best QB, then why have an MVP at all? They aren't the same thing. MVP was over after the 4 game run out of the bye. 3 statement victories and a whole lot of things never done before by anyone who had ever played the position - including the 3+3 TD loss to the Rams which makes one wonder how do the Bills win any games at all with that defense and special teams? Yeah. That. Exactly.
  4. Nor do they have Solomon Wilcots, but that didn't stop them from overlooking many Buffalo Beeows.
  5. That receiver was open enough for Lamar Jackson to throw a TD
  6. You mean like the Bengals-Chiefs game?
  7. Considering the egregious nature of some of the uncalled stuff against PSU the Irish are going to be ready to fight in the parking lot after that one.
  8. That's a soft call on such a big play
  9. Woo boi, some steaming hot piles of take in there!
  10. Last time I payed close attention to Bonitto was August 2022 when Bobby Hart at LT beat his ass. I'm guessing he's improved since then.
  11. Which group gets to run routes against 8 and 9 in the box all day? That might have something to do with it.
  12. The sweep at 1:53... watch the block by Roosevelt Leaks #48. I think that Charger is still feeling it to this day.
  13. Thanks for reminding me of the Leon campaign, it's as predictive as a Simpsons episode.
  14. This isn't the ad you were thinking but it's what came to mind. Can't wait for Malik Nabors' second contract negotiation after this legendary draft interview "My jacket... shows a tribute to the legacy of me at LSU"
  15. NFL Network is jocking Lamar HARD for his UNPRECEDENTED SEASON where he went 3-0 with 10 TDs head-to-head against Allen and Burrow (who were playing LB and Safety apparently, you know, head-to-head). They even got Baldy talking about the stats with Lamar's UNPRECEDENTED yards and TD's and "you GOTTA give it to him for the stats" and "you can't give it to Allen just because he has 0 and Lamar already has 2"
  16. The thing that keeps Torrence starting at G is he's not really the type who has position flex. Anderson brings value with the jumbo packages and 3-position backup, you couldn't just swap those two guys as Torrence could not fill that #6 OL role. The old saw about "finding your best five" kind of doesn't work for the Bills because of the packages.
  17. I'm happy if the Bills have a LB who can get off blocks ever.
  18. Those STH's are going to be joining the false advertising class-action lawsuit after last night...
  19. Backups cash checks written by NFL teams. If you're a backup standing out against other backups I don't see how that's a negative.
  20. Checked out the Bahama Bowl to see how Dolac would do... he was pedestrian, although he had this huge The Fugitive appliance on one arm so I dunno how banged up he was. #41 Red Murdock on the Bulls had several splash plays and actually looked like what I've been told Dolac does.
  21. Eye test: He looked something like what Jack Campbell looked like today for the Lions. Which for a value proposition, is pretty good, UDFA vs 1st rounder.
