  1. Farmer is not the DT they need. But, this is another argument for a trade down. I'd love to see the Bills, if TSW 2.0 falls this way, trade out of the spot and acquire a 3rd and top-of-4th in return to give them 5 of the top 110 picks. Seeing that the Bills had 4 predominant roster needs but went BPA with Watts (a DIFFERENCE MAKER??) then you've got your CB in Amos but still want to secure DT1T, EDGE, and WR and you do it with top 100-ish picks. Beane has shown in prior trades he tracks very closely to Rich Hill value chart. Here's teams that I'd be calling to see if they want to pop up to 62 for a guy, that have the right ammunition: CLE: #62+132+170 for #67+104 [111pts - 108pts] CAR: #62+170 for #74+111 [93pts - 93pts] SF: #62+132 for #75+100 [102pts - 98pts] NE: #62+169 for #77+106 [93pts - 92pts] HOU: #62+132 for #79+89 [102pts - 103pts] SEA: #62+170+206 for #82+92 [97pts - 97pts] lesser fits: JAX: #62 for #70+142 (with an eye to package 132+142 for 110 or better) [84pts - 84pts] NO: #62+109 for #71+93 [114pts - 113pts] ARI: #62+206 for #78+115 [88pts - 86pts]
  2. Hah, that's about where I'm at. But my preference for roster building with the Bills is to look for a WR5 with upside to WR1 or WR2 - kind of what they thought Shorter was, but wasn't. The 2nd round is a bit much for that unless you have a place to play him this year or he's just so clearly BPA you'll take him and fit him somewhere. But the two guys I'm zeroed in for that are Thornton as you mentioned and my Senior Bowl crush Isaac Teslaa. But both are reaches here. I don't think it's so much drafting for need as drafting where they can compete for a roster spot and despite the Bills being within a window now, you have to take swings at high-ceiling guys too because the other thing (of about 800) TSW complains about is the Bills not having difference-makers. So out of the available options I think that's Burch because there's no double-team eating 1T's on this list and he's a huge edge that unlike Ivey can actually run. If he pans out then you're done with AJE after this year and you've upgraded that position. That said, after drafting Amos and Watts, the Bills can draft for competition at: DT 1T, EDGE, LB, WR, RB and with the later picks go for high upside development prospects to stash on the PS.
  3. 19 - Bucs - Bill from NYC - Landon Jackson, Edge, Arkansas
  4. I could almost be convinced to take Elric of Ayombone... I mean, Elic Ayomanor here except for Bond and Royals are on the poll instead? If there's a guy in the draft who might be Rashee Rice, he looks like he can be. The guys at DT who I like for playing next to Oliver instead of backing him up - Jordan Phillips, Zeek Biggers, CJ West, et al, they aren't really a value at this position and aren't in the poll. A trade-down candidate position, maybe? Among the Edges if we were going that direction, Kyle Kennard is someone who fits a need for a speed end and won the Nagurski this past year, similarly Ashton Gillotte. Among the choices here, probably Burch but if it's wide open, he's not who I'm opting for at this slot. Stewart looks like Solomon with t-rex arms, Ivey is if you want to do the Basham thing again - too slow for edge, doubt he'll hold up inside and where is he on the depth chart anyway if he is. Just feels like the 4-5 guys I'd want here aren't here. Edit: those guys - Elic Ayomanor, Kyle Kennard, Ashton Gillotte, Jordan Phillips, CJ West. Those are probably my top picks for the Bills. Maybe even Marcus Mbow as a projected IOL.
  5. I like West if you're taking DL here as he has some versatility to 1T and 3T and he can eat double-team blocks, he was doubled up all year at Indiana. If you're going EDGE then yeah, Kennard is the sort you're looking for as he has a more classic pass rush build than Solomon. If you think Ayomanor is Rashee Rice, you'd almost HAVE to take him at this spot and address the DL with the R4 picks or pop up to R3 with a trade-up. If they hadn't just extended Bernard, I like Knight's fit to the Mike role and he's a value pick at this slot, a thumper who can fly sideline-to-sideline like a Nick Bolton. If you're pissed that the Bills didn't draft McConkey last year then that's Jack Bech.
  6. Significant players still undrafted, in position order of Bills interest probably, broken down by O and D DT: Joshua Farmer / Florida State Omarr Norman-Lott / Tennessee Jordan Phillips / Maryland Shemar Turner / Texas A&M CJ West / Indiana EDGE: Jordan Burch / Oregon Jared Ivey / Mississippi Kyle Kennard / South Carolina Elijah Roberts / SMU Josaiah Stewart / Michigan LB: Demetrius Knight Jr / South Carolina Chris Paul Jr / Mississippi CB: Denzel Burke / Ohio State Dorian Strong / Virginia Tech S: Kevin Winston Jr / Penn State Andrew Mukuba / Texas WR: Elic Ayomanor / Stanford Jack Bech / TCU Isaiah Bond / Texas Jaylin Noel / Iowa State Xavier Restrepo / Miami Jalen Royals / Utah State RB: Quidshon Junkins / Ohio State Dylan Sampson / Tennessee Cam Skattebo / Arizona State IOL: Wyatt Milum / West Virginia Jared Wilson / Georgia OT: Marcus Mbow / Purdue Ozzy Trapilo / Boston College TE: Elijah Arroyo / Miami Mason Taylor / LSU
  7. With pick #61 in the TSW 1.0 Draft, the Washington Comanches select: JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State We have depth issues at edge with a couple retreads in Dorrance Armstrong and Cleland Farrell at the top of our depth chart. We liked Swinson a lot, but just missed out. Still, we're not really reaching here, this is still a player with significant upside, big game production and physical tools. If we can't get the next Chase Young we'll have to take the next Ryan Kerrigan for now. @Virgil the Bills are on the clock.
  8. I think there will be guys similar to Farmer at 62, 109, 132. I don't think there's going to be a Watts-caliber guy there.
  9. Philly didn't allow KC receivers free releases off the line that Buffalo did. No DL in the world gets home if the QB is getting rid of the ball in 2 seconds. The Eagles drafted secondary with their first two picks last year. They contested the short routes and didn't up the give easy pitch & catches in a soft zone, made Mahomes hold the ball just that one extra beat... and their DL ate up those crappy tackles and put him on the ground. What Watts does for your team is: takes the ball away. It's a scheme of McDefense to put players in position to give the ball back to the offense and I'd say there really isn't any safety currently on the roster for whom that is (or projects to be) a strength of their game. You can see Watts' receiver skill-set on tape: he gets the ball for you. As opposed to Farmer, I think the Bills have a few of those already.
  10. To me it's obvious in terms of Farmer isn't really a fit, he's another penetrator and not an anchor guy eating blocks. You just got done passing on a far superior player in Nolen for this reason, TSW... what are you doing here? Farmer doesn't stand up double-teams well at all. You're still going to need a true 1T down the line - on Day 3 where the 2-down run stuffers get drafted. And Farmer is just more of the Oliver/Carter/Ogunjobi flavor to me.
  11. We've dropped Bradyn Swinson and JT Tuimalaou from the poll as combined they would still be trailing Farmer or Watts. If one of those was your selection you may re-vote for one of the final 2.
  12. I've got a similar guys to Ingram-Dawkins for power edge who popped to me at the combine in that range. That's part of why I shaded to Xavier Watts at this pick, Watts is just too much of value+fit+need+separation-from-the-next-tier at this slot to pass on, and there's sleepers at edge and 1T that can be had in the middle of Day 3. For power edge I liked what I saw from Ahmed Hassanein the Egyptian Magician from Boise State. He's only been playing the game for a couple years and has gone for zero to draftable in a short time. Also you could go with Tyler Batty out of BYU or Elijah Roberts from SMU. As far as traditional pass-rushing edge, Fadil Diggs of Syracuse and Jah Joyner of Minnesota are toolsy guys with speed to press the edge in packages but also frame and physical tools to develop. We know the Bills have met with Zeek Biggers from Georgia Tech for their 1T role, others have noted Florida's Cam Jackson and JJ Pegues from Ole Miss. Nazir Stackhouse from Georgia is another 2-down blocker-eater. Because of the lack of pass rush those guys will slide down the board but they are fine the way the Bills use the DL rotation. There's like 50 guys on the DL in this draft who would have a chance to make the Bills roster. This is a big reason I actually like that cluster of 5's the Bills hold, there are guys who can definitely make it that will be in that range - there is going to be value there.
  13. We're pruning down to our Final Four... if you have voted for a player no longer on the poll please re-vote.
  14. Tuimoloau is going to need some development, he's certainly more physically gifted than Boogie, but I'm wondering if the Bills aren't thinking in terms of a Jordan Burch or Saivion Jones perhaps making it to 109 or at least to an area where they can pop up a few slots rather than getting the power DE here. At this point all of these prospects have questions to them and an ability to bust or hit.
  15. I think it comes down to, there's an awful lot of Edge and DT left on the board. The Bills are up again in just 6 picks, and unless you're excluding him for the Hyde-like 4.55 40-yard time, Watts is a hand-in-glove fit for the ball-hawking deep-half safety the Bills haven't had on the roster since Hyde left. If the Bills weren't picking again till 109 I might think of doing something different but on this board I think I gotta draft Watts here and hope my favorite defensive lineman (and I do have one) is there at 62. This one is a really tough call and I'm still noodling... there's four or five guys I'd be pleased with on that list. The Epenesa type or the Basham type?
  16. Had to make the cut at 15 but I'll mention them in the OP to see if there's a groundswell to get them in
  17. If I didn't botch it, poll is live
  18. For this poll, we tried to focus on players and positions that the Bills are most likely to draft at this slot, from a consensus of draft rankings and Mock Draft ADPs. Poll will close at ***2***pm on 4/5/25. The eligible players are based upon those who were not already selected in the TSW 1.0 Mock draft linked below: We went heavy on DL and EDGE because frankly there's a lot of them clustered around this draft position, and both are among the Bills top needs. Considered, but not making the final cut for the poll: DT: Deone Walker Kentucky EDGE: Kyle Kennard South Carolina Josaiah Stewart Michigan Jordan Burch Oregon CB: Darien Porter Iowa State WR: Tre Harris Ole Miss Jalen Royals Utah State Savion Williams TCU RB: Cam Skattebo Arizona State Kaleb Johnson Iowa TE: Elijah Arroyo Miami Mason Taylor LSU OT: Ozzy Trapilo BC G/C: Jared Wilson Georgia If there are any oversights let me know! If a write-in is gaining momentum, we can add to the poll.
  19. Nominally it's beyond my pay grade but I think I can try to use your first one as a template. When's the expiry supposed to be?
  20. @Virgil High-rated prospects on the board: DT: Shemar Turner Texas A&M Omar Norman-Lott Tennessee CJ West Indiana Joshua Farmer FSU EDGE: Bradyn Swinson LSU JT Tuimoloau Ohio State Jack Sawyer Ohio State Jared Ivey Mississippi Kyle Kennard South Carolina Josaiah Stewart Michigan Jordan Burch Oregon LB: Demetrius Knight South Carolina S: Xavier Watts Notre Dame CB: Darien Porter Iowa State WR: Elic Ayomanor Stanford Jack Bech TCU RB: Quinshon Judkins Ohio State Dylan Sampson Tennessee Cam Skattebo Arizona State Kaleb Johnson Iowa TE: Elijah Arroyo Miami Mason Taylor LSU OT: Marcus Mbow Purdue Ozzy Trapilo BC G/C: Jared Wilson Georgia
  21. Hairston was selected #36 by @TPS / the Jaguars. Can you try that again?
  22. Some of these media drafts are so far out of touch that @Best Williams Available is actually a better strategy...
  23. I think @GunnerBill said something about being on a plane today? It's been 3 hours, so based on Chicago's team needs and his posts, I think I have an idea who he might target with this pick. In lieu of Gunner, I think he'd pick: Nic Scourton EDGE Texas A&M Chicago had a huge void at running back that was filled by Ashton Jeanty at pick #10. But, both OL and DL need some serious help. The OL depth has been pretty well plundered, I have Donovan Jackson top of board here and am not convinced he's a value pick here. Montez Sweat is the splash signing for Chicago so while EDGE isn't the greatest need, Odeyingbo is pencilled as the opposite starter. But surely, Scourton is sticking way up on the board at this pick, and we know Gunner likes the player, just a matter if he feels it's a fit in Chicago - but checking with the Chicago media, I see some mocking this player at this spot, so it sure seems like a fit.
  24. They coulda took Dejean last year, but were chasing the WR.
