The narrative that the Bengals were the only team that got screwed is already unbearable. -
NFL Week #18 - Patriots @ Bills - Pregame thread!

It really is stunning how all the networks and pre-game shows and broadcasts stress the importance of the #1 seed in the playoffs, and all the permutations of how it can be obtained in the NFC ad nauseum, while never mentioning how the Bills were the #1 seed until the NFL gave it the Chiefs. -

Raiders get the stop. They just need to do this (24-6)/3 times. -

That Chiefs huddle reminded me of a different western. -

Re: that huddle. What in the wide wide world of sports is a goin' on here? They called the downfield hold instead of the backfield hold. -

Woman sues Steven Tyler, alleging child sex assault in 1970s

Underage groupies in the 70's. Say it ain't so, I'm crustfallen. -
Brains are inexplicable at times. Your comment about 'evil in a good way' reminded me of this long forgotten Stevie Nicks demo: haha. I jest. this is really just the original Atlanta Rhythm Section album track played at 45.

Yes children. There was a time when the World Intergender Wrestling Champion was a comedy skit. In 2023? Who the hell knows.

40 years ago is 1993? Holy crap did I oversleep.

Oh. Well you have a ways to go to achiever full Krieger status. I see a deep early track and a later effort. How about the hit single that should have been but wasn't? With regard to the above Zombies post... has there ever been a cooler song than Care Of Cell 44?

Next on Schoolhouse Rock.

Still, the Bengals never controlled their destiny in that scenario. It would have still been dependent on the Chiefs. On the other hand, the Bills could very well end the season having been the #1 seed for the last month of the season, won every game they played, and still finish as the #2 seed and miss out on the bye. The only carrot they are offered is, you don't have to go to KC for the n-teenth time in a row in the playoffs. But KC still gets to rest up on the bye week, and still doesn't have to play an away playoff game for the first time in the Mahomes era. The Bills control of their own destiny was taken and given to KC as a result of the cancellation. The Bills did everything they could possibly be expected to do to secure the bye and home field, but are denied the reward, which is now gifted to the Chiefs like another one of those convenient flags on marginal plays at critical times. That's gotta be as harsh as anything Cinci is arguing IMO.

The Chiefs were always bound to be the only team to tangibly benefit, gaining a clear path to the biggest advantage offered in this goofball 7-team playoff format - the only bye in the conference. I thought, perhaps with that being an biggest carrot, the league might open up an 8th entry to mitigate it, but hahah what was I thinking.

What Bengals & Chiefs fans are saying about the situation:

Has Taron Johnson injury severity been diagnosed?
Ralonzo replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean at least that resembled a football play in a Lee Smith sort of way. Hendrickson was extra-curricular and of no purpose other than attempt to injure. -

You could say that.
