	As we saw in 2024.

Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNFtigerthelion replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Harbaugh seems to get a pass because he has a ring, but I tend to agree that he has had some foolishly stacked teams that have underperformed for quite a while now.

Parsons is an odd case to me. His sack numbers are impressive, and he is considered a star, but I am never really overwhelmed by watching him in games, especially playoff games. In recent years, I didn't see him really making an impact on playoff games. A guy like him, who is considered a superstar, should be impacting games more, IMO.

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?tigerthelion replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Kind of how I think, also. Mediocre quarterbacks and poor quarterbacks will usually make those mistakes before driving their teams down the field. The better quarterbacks, for the most part, will be happy to drive down the field with easy completions for fourteen play drives resulting in touchdowns, if that is what you give them. It is worth giving up some quick big plays to the opposition if the defense can impose their will and force the opposition out of their comfort zone more often than not.

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?tigerthelion replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall I agree that they need players to make big time plays in big time games. You can't just pluck a Chris Jones off of a tree, of course but someone somewhat like that would be nice. Someone who seems to always be making a play to tilt a game in his team's favour in the fourth quarter. Maybe Von could have been that if he stayed healthy. The margins in the playoffs are so thin, that I think sometimes you just need one or two big plays to decide a game. I think the answer to your second question is Lamar vs Mahomes. Mahomes simply doesn't make the mistakes that Lamar does in the playoffs. You can't rely on Mahomes giving up free turnovers in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson is still too careless with the ball in the playoffs, as his turnovers were mostly from his own doing, IMO. I think the Chiefs hold back their playbook quite a bit in the regular season games against Buffalo, to be honest. In the playoffs, everything is fair game in the playbook and Reid isn't afraid to call any play.

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"tigerthelion replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall The safety position is definitely a complete disaster with Hamlin.

Shedur Sanders Make To Round 5? (Poll) - UPDATED x 3tigerthelion replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall The guy who banged the table for Jimmy Clausen is saying that NFL gms haven't had a clue about evaluating quarterbacks for fifty years. Just top notch material there.

🧐That is quite a leap of faith.

Would fans be upset or happy with Amos as Buffalo's pick? Just thinking out loud.
-
Yeah, it was when they were talking about Ward after he was picked, I think. Perhaps I am wrong about that.
-
Thanks for the explanation. I think it is still a silly way of thinking, but we will see how Ward turns out.

NFL game is slower than college??

Ovi's record. Smth like that in NFL?tigerthelion replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Gretzky also scored a ton against goalies basically using street hockey equipment and played in the free wheeling wide open 80s. No need to diminish the goal record. Ovechkin is the greatest goal scorer in NHL history. Nobody considers him to be in the running for best player ever, obviously, but he has proven to be the best goal scorer. There is nothing misleading about the goal record. It is a phenomenal accomplishment. I think the sacks record is a decent comparison, actually. If Garrett played at a high level into his late thirties, he could maybe challenge, but that is not likely.
-
Maybe he could come into the game if both starters and both backups were injured. Seeing fans talk like having him play significant time in 2025 would be fine is crazy. If the team is serious about being a championship contender, they can't have a guy of that caliber roaming around the field for anything other than mop up time.
-
No point in bringing back Cooper. I don't think he offers enough on the field anymore. The Cooper experiment was worth taking at the time, but it failed and it is time to move on.
-
Yeah, but just think of all the gaudy stats Burrow will put up. Burrow knows the team will be lucky to field a decent defense, but he will get his numbers and analysts will talk about how his defense let him down. The year Cincy had a good defense, that showed up in the playoffs, they went to the Super Bowl. Go figure.

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDstigerthelion replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Oliver has underwhelmed. Groot is good, but disappeared when they needed him the most against KC. Floyd was invisible and a total non factor for much of he second half of his season here. Jones played well two years ago and was awful last year. Defensive line has been a weakness for years. You can't really deny that. They haven't been the worst in the league but they have been pretty poor for those part. Definitely played a big part in the failures of the team in the playoffs.

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDstigerthelion replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall If you are gonna burn up that much cap space, might as well sign rotational guys that won't be out of action for at least a third of the year, no?

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDstigerthelion replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Big Baller Beane out there signing juicers to inflated contracts. Right on. 🤡

Hope he never sees the field other than an emergency situation. He is not a good starter at all, but at least knows tha system and can fill in for short periods. Would have preferred to move on from him, honestly, but here we are. If Bishop can't clearly keep him off the field, that is a terrible sign. A second round safety should be able to beat put Hamlin easily. If Bishop doesn't improve, and no clear upgrades are had, it will be deja vu next year with coverage.

Mack Hollins signs with Patriotstigerthelion replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall I don't think anyone is saying he is a Pro Bowler. His salary shows what the league thinks of him. It is not a huge loss, but honestly he outplayed hyped up first rounder Kincaid and Pro Bowler Cooper by quite a large margin when it mattered,in KC. I can see why fans got a little attached to him. Other than Shakir, you could say nobody was really above jag level for us as far as receivers go. Mack outplayed his deal last year. I want the Bills to get better, but they have certainly wasted money on worse players than Hollins before. Not hugely upset with him leaving, but the WR room still looks iffy at the moment. Hopefully Palmer is not the best addition to the room.
