  1. I had flashbacks reading that 3-way QB competition to the Bills yester-years … so thankful for Josh Allen
  2. Good research. I wanted to add as well that Ken Dorsey’s offense in 2022 and 2023 had a lot of WR choice routes where we remember Gabe (and sometimes Diggs) were not on the same page as Josh - ending in critical misfires and disappointment. Brady’s offense seems simpler in this regard and may improve the Gabe /Allen connection if we do get to see a round 2 of this pairing.
  3. Gabe as a WR4 playing 35% of snaps at 3 mil is perfect. Gabe as WR2 playing 90% snaps making 10+ mil is a concern and I’m glad the Bills played this the way they did. Would be happy to see Gabe come back at the right price and role.
  4. I’m curious to see if the bills cuts at these positions garner any interest across the league or come back as perfect practice squad players. We’ve grown accustomed to players like Cam Lewis and Ingram but do other teams have an interest or a spot on their 53 for these types of players? It seems more often than not the players the bills end up cutting stick around.
  5. If the bills make him an offer it would be less than 3 mil - right? I guess that’s what makes the Browns tender so interesting here.
  6. It seems most people think Hancock/Cam Lewis is a 1v1 position battle due to their proposed similar versatile role but I don’t think it’d be crazy for both of them to make the roster at the expense of Hamlin. The DB roster battles will be a fun puzzle to solve this summer.
  7. Thanks for breaking this out! There are going to be some great competitions for end of roster spots - Notably the DB’s, D-line, and WR5 spots. But also interested to see the competition for depth o-line, depth LB, and TE3. And how could I forget a punter competition! It’s going to be a long wait until training camp!
  8. Thanks gonzo, this is helpful to visualize! Not a need, but I wouldn’t mind spending one of the 6th round picks on QB Will Howard or Kyle McCord, if available. I don’t think they’ll be anything special but it would be nice to have 4 years of a cheap cost controlled QB2.
  9. Landon Jackson and Farmer would be my ideal day 2, but there’s a lot of prospects I think I’d still be happy with left on the board.
  10. Yes odd timing, but maybe just solidifying their ammo to be able to move around the board as they wish?
  11. I actually think Cook could sit out the whole offseason program, show up week 1 and play just fine. He’s a RB in his 4th year on the team - Get ball, Run fast!
  12. I think Cameron Williams is BPA on this list if we are being honest … I’d hate for them to reach on a RD 2 pick on a specific position but leaving day 2 without a CB would be tough to take.
  13. Do the Saints have enough talent on their roster to compete for the NFC South division if they swapped in Aaron Rodgers for Carr? 👀
  14. Studying some of the draft value trade charts I think the Bills could wheel and deal their way to 20 - 5th round picks (Beanes sweet spot)! Cost control and cheap labor for 4 years! 🙃
  15. Hmm interesting option - any other CB’s we expect teams to part with that will be available soon - Jaire (GB)?
  16. Marquise Brown from BAL to Arizona I think was a draft day trade as well if I recall correctly.
  17. While TBDers zigged, I zagged with my choice. I believe with the tiers of DE and CBs we have in this draft there will be quality options for both positions with our round 2 and 4 picks. Also agree with others before that struggle with the positional value of a 1T DT in the first. I voted for OL Josh Connerly. Our oline has been surprisingly (and luckily) healthy the past 2 seasons and although a lot of people are excited about the potential depth in the pipeline, the truth is that they are unproven day 3 and undrafted prospects. If any of them had to start next year for an extended period of time I think it’d be rough. The bills in this scenario should make their strength (O-line) stronger with their round 1 pick and address defensive role players and snap takers in day 2/3.
  18. It’d be kinda cool if NFL teams could designate a player to this league to give them reps/playing time. Like imagine if the Bills Travis Clayton was on one of these teams playing on the o-line. I think a lot of Bills fans would watch just to see how their teams “development player” looked.
  19. As stupid as they look on the TV, I wouldn’t mind the entire Bills team coming out next year wearing those guardian caps. Even if it reduces concussions 1%, it makes sense to take every measure to “protect your assets”.
  20. I think the concussion concern on Benford is valid and a good reminder of how quickly things can go south for these players. I’m surprised it isn’t talked about more but Taron Johnson has had 5 concussions documented in his career and I’m not sure how he cleared the protocol in the playoffs from that last helmet to helmet hit he took (I think they deemed it shoulder/neck). With his size and the way he plays physical against backs, TE’s, lineman … I wonder how much longer Taron can hold up for 17+ game seasons as well.
  21. Can someone break down all the things James Cook has said this offseason? I’m not on all the social media sites but I think the hysteria around this seems to be more in bills fans minds than anything else.
  22. That was my original thinking as well but sometimes you just have to follow the money … Last season too after the bills released Mike Edward’s they really just carried 3 safeties on the roster plus Cam Lewis. Maybe the real battle this year will be Forrest, a draft pick, and Cam.
  23. I’ve been using this site for mock drafts and I think there is something wrong with the algorithm for the giants pick at 3. About half the drafts they are picking some QB out of left field.
  24. It looks like Damar’s 2 mil salary is fully guaranteed per spotrac so a safe bet to make the roster regardless of what they continue to add through the draft.
  25. I’d be curious to see the incentives. Since he barely played in 2024 I think they could have the incentives set pretty low and label them “unlikely to be earned” or however that’s supposed to work for the cap relief.
