  1. I re read that... my 50+ year old eyes didnt get to the small print fact that these we injury report listings and not he is out for a week or two... it makes more sense now... although the concussions are a bit concerning, life is not without risk....
  2. You are hoping we do or we dont because of the injury history... this rap sheet looks pretty scary to me... like, do I really want to spend cap dollars on a player thats probably gonna sit out a good amount of time with building concussion issues.... mmmmm vet minimum ok.... but I thinking we are not rearraigning cap to sign him.
  3. I think with his Cap its gonna be a release... as far as following Rodgers... I am not ruling this out... but he did that once... I would be a bit leery of this...
  4. Literally I cannot see why the Giants have interest in staving off their ultimate need to draft a QB other than the best they have is Danny DeVito lol... the only thing more strange is why would Aaron Rodgers want to go to a tire fire and get killed for his last year in the league, unless its just he doesnt want to move houses... stay tuned this could get good LOL....
  5. Thank you for this! Interesting rankings... Not quite sure I see Diggs as the #3 most attractive coming off of an acl, with a lawsuit and counter suit pending and his overall history... I think he goes unsigned until he is ready to play and his lawsuit situations become clearer....
  6. So this honestly is a great example of why I wanted to do this thread... someone asked my what I based my top 10 on... and it was well... a lot of things, the eye test, success, stats, era, over all team etc... but thats how I made my own personal assessment... and honestly to your point why I didnt say rate your top 10 QBs based on over all success, or stats, or win percentage etc.... knowing some would base their opinions on a specific catagory, others impressions would be formed differently... I think mostly I am enjoying seeing how people arrive at who they like and what their own internal basis for ranking might be... I love there is no right or wrong here...
  7. No, I do not think that at all... I do think though that the presence of larger humans in pursuit combined with a lack of protection of the QB would absolutely limit the game planning opportunities to run... I think actually, the change in the above has actually empowered the QB to use their feet... so for instance, in the 90s I dont see Lamar Jackson winning an MVP... running QBs back then we are a gimmick... I look at the career of John Elway one of the most proficient... literally needed to change his game based on the fact that he was getting killed out there... so... I dont really "disagree" that there would be clear advantages to a QB that could run if he was facing slower pursuit... but the overall game planning of the era by an large stifled it.... QBs like Cam Newton who were literally MVP (now this is even past the 90s) literally broke down to a shell of themselves after taking the beating at the 2nd and 3rd levels.... So, in my thinking no I dont think it helps him even if it was just we would not have game planned for it because of fear of injury... But, thats why I did the thread, The discussion is always interesting especially when you try to transpose QBs over era...
  8. Literally none of the above and all of the above... just my personal opinion of what I have seen... I am certainly trying to take Stats, Era, W/L overall team compliment, etc... into account... but simply its just my impression... I picked Lamonica, I may have actually seen him play but I was like 3 ... so... there is that... same thing with Kemp... so yeah when you are going thru history no doubt you are relying on conjecture and opinion from others...
  9. I am with you on this one... but 1 point that another poster made that I thought was interesting... QBs were not protected anywhere near then what they are today, PI rules were much more lax then than they are now.... LBs were much bigger then and there was no mercy given to QBs... wonder how this effects the game if they switch eras... still sticking with Allen, but it gave me cause to ponder.
  10. I think eventually as the season progresses and he is ready to play... assuming this drama doesnt go all Deshaun Watson on him... yes absolutely... but I think no one is gonna take an immediate flyer on him hoping that this doesnt go Watson and keep him on IR until he is recovered... but hey teams get desperate and may do exactly what you say... I know I wouldnt... Offseason can be so interesting LOL...
  11. Sometimes I wonder if guys like Antonio Brown, Diggs, Pickens, etc... actually know they are the problem when it keeps happening over and over and over no matter where they go... likely not... but geez... shovel over the head... Hello McFly... I hope younger players watch these things play out and say... no not me... but seems like it happens all too often... Mama said you cant fix stupid....
  12. Lots a D this year my friends...
  13. This level of Drama is just not gonna play well in the Free Agency market... especially coming off an ACL and not even being ready by training camp... he probably goes unsigned at this point... especially if this blows up... I mean where there is smoke... sometimes there is fire... who wants to sign up for that right now... as for a Bills reunion... I would say I have a better chance of dunking a basket ball on an 11 foot net with one of you on my back then this happening...
  14. You are not wrong... I was literally waiting for you to jump in with.... "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor" so I could say... Shut up, he's on a roll!
  15. I did too and I actually in the moment never liked him as a backup... but I grew to like him... I put him on my list because he was probably better than the rest even from a back up role... and then there was the Houston game...
  16. I was 4 lol Fitz?
  17. I would defo have a bourbon or 2 before attempting
  18. Dude Clod Collins gotta be in this mix someplace... People dont remember how good Lamonica was before we traded him away... bad move... bring on Dennis Shaw....
  19. So I hated our Superbowl defenses... but in their defense... No Huddle gave the other team 3 to 4 more shots at the ball a game... This is the discussion I was looking for... maybe it should have been who is the best qb Kelly or Allen... my argument for Allen is... Kelly, Reed, Lofton, and Thomas... Give Allen 3 Hall of Famers... but... chicken and egg... except Lofton... are Reed and Thomas HOF without Kelly... I dunno... its a great debate for sure....
  20. You blew my next thread LOL name the worst QBs... maybe that would have been a more interesting one... it starts with Hobert and Collins... then it goes from there.
  21. I am sure we are going to get the same players pretty much... I am interested in where they end up in your rankings... I am also interested in where Kelly and Allen show up in your picks... here are mine Allen Kelly Kemp Ferguson Flutie Bledsoe Fitz Lamonica Tyrod Frank Reich
  22. Not sure which is funnier.... McDole as an edge rusher or Maybin actually doing anything but leaving an a$$ imprint on the ground every play... LOL.. So for my money... Best Season - Paup Best Consistent Edge - Schoebel Best Edge/Run - Mario Best Edge/Run/Pass Coverage (total package) - Biscuit
  23. I would say if they were a 3 win team not many are coming in garbage time the other team is probably running and throwing short quick passes... so to that point I feel like they would be legit... that being said, I am not go get him and give up big assets to do this... but hey 10 sacks on a 3 win team is pretty solid...
  24. If we trade with KC again... Ima lose it LOL 😆great topic though... I see what you did there LOL
  25. Yeah, I have two solid weaknesses.... Being a draftnik and projecting salary... I am really bad at both... So if I am asked to wager... Ima bet you are correct over me... just sayin...
