  1. I was waiting for this... LOL... didnt feel like it was an all in take my response would be those superbowl teams may have been THE most talented teams we have ever seen.... So McD gets Kelly, Reed, Lofton and Thomas... in that group I only put JA as better then our current team... Oline comparable... Defense he gets HOF Bruce Smith, All pro Bennett, Conlan, Talley, L. Smith and excellent Nate Odomes and Kazoo at safety... I think he finds a way to get one done with those guys... jmo
  2. True this... I dont see the way he or Belichik dresses as an issue... I think results are an issue... he could wear spanx on the field and if he won the SB every year... they would roll with it.
  3. Now this is gonna be controversial... I think McD would have won at least 1 Superbowl... I dont think Levy was all that good...
  4. I forgot Chris Burkett and Flip Johnson as well... lol
  5. I think you are hitting on something here... I have always believed that coaches/coordinators have to anticipate what others are going to do to in reaction to their plan... the best anticipate and adjust over time as well as adjust according to their personnel. His pre snap cheats were actually brilliant until they changed the rule... but he could not have thought that this would last forever... we will see what he does with the upcoming season but I am not thinking it goes well for him....
  6. and I have agreed with you several times for sure... I see in McDaniel what the players do... a coach who is not authentic... he is attempting to be a leader but he is not a natural one, he is attempting to be motivational but he is really a damp sponge.. he is super intelligent but more suited to be a co ordinator with a head coach backing him up
  7. I agree here all you need to do is watch projected 5th pick Geno Smith sit there all night and not go until rd2... I actually felt really bad for him.
  8. I believe I said this in another thread... at issue here isnt losing James Cook per se... who do you put in there... how productive can they be in this system... whats the difference in salary between the two... and is the theoretical production increase worth the money.... So just for examples sake... Cook runs for 1100 yards, 300 receiving and 10 TDs.... Ty runs for 900 yards, 400 receiving and 8 TDs as the starter (not saying this is going to happen... just a comparison.) Ty gets 4mm a year Cook gets 15mm a year. Is 11mm a year worth 200 yards rushing and 2 TDs? If yes, pay him, if not don't... thats where the position gets blurred.. as there is often only minimal production differences between RBs... so often the choice is to spend the money elsewhere... Now, if he is gonna go all 1800 yards like a Barkley or Henry... you adjust your thinking and maybe then he is worth the money... From my perspective, he is a super talent 2 downs... not a great blocker and hope to see him with a bigger role in the passing game.. What you would get from Ray and Ty wouldnt equal Cook likely but it would be close enough for me to pass on the extra 8-11mm or whatever it would amount too to keep him... I would rather use that on a CB or a WR etc...
  9. This was my number 1 he didnt want to give up an extra 5th or something. Then he traded up to get JP and ditched our next years 1st... day 2 of draft came out in a presser with JP introducing him as our 1 for that year despite being drafted the year before.
  10. So I am fine with the Beasley Shakir comparison as a possession guy, but I dont think there is any real argument that Shakir is way past Bease RAC especailly at the end of his career.
  11. Indeed sometimes what is in my mind does not translate into words properly... ask my wife... so I corrected it for clarity.
  12. Only if he retracts his Josh is trash comment... LOL... but seriously, I dont want to kick the can down the road for a 30 something diminishing 25mm CB. Just my opinion.
  13. TO was a goof for sure... but wouldn't say he was a bad teammate like Diggs. I was the original poster and I was looking at the past Bills and their careers with the Bills aka the value they brought to the Bills . BUT if I am looking at those receivers in their prime despite the team they were on I think Lofton in GB/Buffalo skipping the Raiders and TO pre Bills are the only real choices. Reed and Moulds to me would be the best in their Prime in Buffalo
  14. I think TO had more speed as well... and way more consistent for sure.
  15. Those seem to be the two big choices... Truth Although Mr WEO makes a good point on TO whom I left off because I was looking at Bills production only... but that would be an epic receiver to bring in had I included him.
  16. Well to your point, I am talking Bills production... Lofton still clearly makes the list... Moulds was one of my faves that started a bit slow but was becoming really dominant as time went on.... I liked Moulds because of his physicality he didnt need to rely on being a gazelle, he broke tackles and quite honestly didnt have Reed on the other side of him with Kelly feeding him the ball... and 34 in his prime. But I get why you like Lofton... as for me.. I like the discussion and peoples points of view. I appreciate you sharing.
  17. Lots of Lofton love here... he was one of my favorites... I remember at the end of the season when we picked him up off waivers from the Raiders... I was hoping he would turn into what he did... I would have loved him in his prime when he was in Green Bay, but I am happy we got what we got.
  18. Interesting... Rashad 1 year 455 yards with the Bills, again probably mis remembering him... Even TO had like 800yrds in 1 year with us. Somehow thinking Rashad was here longer... maybe it was just the fact he was a commentator who knows but in retrospect probably better choices... but cant change it now... TO no disagreement from me... unless your name is Rice or Fitzgerald probably dont want to listen to arguments that as a career goes anyone is better... but again I was really basing it off of production as a Buffalo Bill... That said, I do believe attitude means something I think Diggs is a prime example of what that type of behavior can do to a team. However, if you are gonna go get a Diggs type aint no way in the world you are turning down a top 3 all time receiver in TO, so yes I agree even Beane would get him. If you are gonna suck it up and get a Diva Owens would be one... didnt he try to trade for Antonio Brown too? Glad that didnt happen...
  19. This is a legit point someone else asked it... I was basing it on Bills production but to your point TO may have been the best of the all... not sure how the attitude would have blended into this team... but on pure talent this guy in his prime was one of the all time best. Moses and Rashad were a nod/option to the old timers that watched them play. I have only faint memories of Rashad and none of Moses or Dubenion for that matter.
  20. Whats funny is I really like the guy... I think he was mess on game day and with the exception of Marchibroda who was the brains behind the Kgun he hired horrible Asst Coaches in the Superbowl years... who literally never got an NFL job at the same level as their job here when they left . The level of out coached we saw in those Superbowls makes McD look like a game day genius...
  21. Not sure this is gonna fly, but a lottery system like NBA, NHL etc... that could be interesting.
  22. People who didnt see Jerry Butler never really know how good he was....and those that did often forget.... and even if he did get hurt but had todays tech... I remember him being so smooth... John Brown anyone? LOL
  23. Marv Levy should immediately be removed from the HOF
  24. Dude is a HOF receiver who was a speed trap and dropped next to nothing... you could never go wrong there... and if you think about it we didnt even get him in his prime when he was in Green Bay... kinda languished at the Raiders... glad we picked him up off of waivers.
