  1. This again? In your world all Bills fans must think they’re the best always. Guess when you hear things you don’t like you lash out. In the words of another great man. ‘You can’t handle the truth!’ - Jack Nicholson.
  2. Bills had a group of receivers that included Diggs and Davis. I’d say that’s better than hockey pucks. We’ve been to the AFCCG once just to get blown out. Now they’re gone and replaced with unproven talents but it’s enough now? Kincaid and Coleman need to develop into top pass catchers. Also need one of the fast receivers on the roster to consistently stretch the field to clear out the middle. I don’t believe the Bills can win a superbowl without major contributors from the wr position. It’s not the same situation as KC.
  3. In the words of a wise man. ‘Allen is not Mahomes. The Bills are not the Chiefs’ - Kyle Brandt.
  4. I agree with all of this. I just think we need more proven receivers.
  5. And if he doesn’t and the offense stalls it’s because ‘no receivers’.
  6. That’s not what I said. If a receiver can consistently get open but the qb can’t get them the ball it doesn’t mean the receiver is bad. Think Zack Wilson with Garrett Wilson. With a marginal qb those open opportunities would be completed. Think Dhop with Hopkins or Kyler Murray. What you said about all Allen needed was Diggs to get open and he’d get him the ball is just competent qb work is my point. Elite QBs would elevate a receiver. I.E. throw his guy open. Or make an accurate throw even if he’s cover where only the receiver has a chance at it. Those things make marginal receivers seem elite while the former make marginal QBs seem elite. That was the distinction I was making. Again not saying Allen doesn’t do that. I was just making a distinction from your receivers getting open comment because it’s the offseason and I’m bored.
  7. Sure why not. It’s fine like it’s been fine the last 5 years. Who wants a Lombardi anyway. Can’t even drink out of that thing.
  8. Not that I don’t agree but isn’t a receiver that can consistently ‘get open’ be top 10 regardless of who the qb is?
  9. Yet they won. But you’re right. They had a great defense that carried them through offensive lulls this past season. What about the Superbowl they won the year before when their defense gave up 35 points in that game? KC’s best attribute is doing just enough to get the job done. Whether it’s offense, defense, ST. It’s a team game afterall. Now that’s an aspiration the Bills can get on board with imo.
  10. I think you’re missing the point of what a great qb can do to elevate his weapons. So on paper KC’s weapons have been meh the last two years but they’ve won it all due in large to their qb. Same can be said of Allen and this current Bills group.
  11. I see. Yeah you’re right. It’s insane that the their floor with Mahomes is the AFCCG.
  12. You do know KC has lost big games with Mahomes right? 2018 AFCCG, 2020 Superbowl, 2021 AFCCG. I know it feels like he wins every year but they have been taking down before.
  13. And a long healthy life was overrated…
  14. They’ve been together since HS. If anything wouldn’t it shows that he’s loyal and isn’t that an admirable trait? I agree with you about the ‘hate’ part. How can a person hate someone they only see play ball on TV. I get hating teams but individuals? It says more about the person doing the hating.
  15. We got our own Toney now? Beane is taking this mirroring KC’s blueprint a little too far. 😝
  16. Not every franchise qb, no matter how talented, can do what Mahomes has done. At the surface I agree with you that since Allen ‘arrived’ he should make any receivers better. That’s necessary because of how much franchise QBs make. However, four years with Diggs, a top 5 receiver most of that time, and Davis, a great 2nd option, and we couldn’t get over the top. I do think 2 top flight receivers is necessary for Allen. Hopefully Kincaid and Coleman can develop into those roles. With the cap situation investing in a premier wr in FA is probably not doable.
  17. Not even a big deal for KC if he does miss 8 games. They’re loaded and he’d be back for the playoffs anyway.
  18. When Mahomes was on his rookie contract KC signed Sammy Watkins and drafted Hardman to go along with Hill and Kelce. Then they won their first Superbowl so I think that qualifies the scenario you laid out. Then they won 2 more without big name receivers so I guess a team can do it either way.
  19. Anything is possible. But we couldn’t do it with a franchise qb and quality vets that have played together the last handful of years. To suddenly lose those guys and win with rookies replacements the first year of transition is something I wouldn’t bet on.
  20. Their D was not excellent in ‘22 due to all the rookies as mentioned. Agree about the QB, TE, and excellent coaching.
  21. People saw how KC won it all when they started a bunch of rookies in ‘22 and think that’s the norm when it’s really an anomaly. Outside of KC I can’t think of a team that can achieve that in the current NFL.
  22. I think winning the division is not unrealistic. I actually expect them to despite improvements from the other teams in their division. Going further in the playoffs than the divisional? I don’t think it will happen this year. The following year is more realistic for that expectation to me. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
