USFL-XFL merge; become UFL w/USFL and XFL divisions
Gregg replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think it will survive. Springtime is the NHL/NBA playoffs plus baseball season is in full swing. The quality of play in these leagues is poor as the top talent will always go to the NFL. -

I think this is the only way the league survives. With the NFL financing it and it becomes a minor league football for the NFL whereas you mentioned the pipeline is established for these players to eventually make it in the NFL. The only football most fans care about are the NFL and CFB. As history has shown these spring football leagues seem to fail so it will need the NFL helping it. -

If the Bills get the #2 seed, then I think they have a great chance to at least get to the AFCCG. On WC weekend they would get one of the Texans, Colts, Steelers. In the divisional round they would most likely get the Chiefs or Browns-Jags if the fish won at KC. Cleveland would be tough, but the Bills would still be favorite at home.

The Browns already won at Baltimore this year plus those AFCN games are usually bloodbaths. I would give them a good chance to go there, and win provided Joe doesn't turn the ball over which has been a problem for him.

Many Bills fans will do what many Jets and Giants fans did. Drop their season tickets to avoid PSL fees and just purchase individual game tickets throughout the season. -

Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
Gregg replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Browns defense is really good. It's a rivalry game. That entire division hates one another. Games like that are usually close. I think only the Browns or Bills could go there and get a win. I hope the Bills don't have to go there so that leaves the Browns. Of course, this is assuming they win Sunday night at Miami. -
Need a capable backup quarterback next season.

What about the Chargers backup QB who almost beat the Bills. -
Only if the Steelers and Jaguars win. It will still be a big game but if one of those team lose then at least the Bills are guaranteed a WC before Sunday night.

Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
Gregg replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just looking at the teams in the playoffs for the AFC I think the Browns are the only ones who could beat the Ravens in Baltimore. The Bills could if they bring their "A" game but that's it. I don't see another team in the AFC who could go there and beat them and that includes the Chiefs. It just doesn't seem like it will be their year this season. -

Assuming the Bills get in then it would be nice if someone (Browns) can beat the Ravens, so the Bills have homefield throughout. -
We will know by game time. I really hope the Ravens backups can beat the Steelers, so we clinch a playoff spot by early SAT evening.
-
Total BS. Many fans don't get Peacock. All playoff games should be CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, ESPN.
-
Packers are home playing the Bears. If they win, they clinch a playoff spot. They were also in the same spot last year vs Detroit and lost so be careful taking GB.

Long conversation between McD and Belichick
Gregg replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Bill goes anywhere, I think it will be with the Chargers. They already have the QB and their roster on paper is pretty good despite the record. He could probably turn it around there pretty quick. Carolina is in a full rebuild. With the Commanders they don't have a great QB plus you are in a division with the Cowboys and Eagles. Both teams are much better than them. I don't see him signing up for a long rebuild at his age. -

I remember when Covid hit, and the entire country basically shut down. At the time the Islanders were having UBS built and the construction crews had to stop for a few months before they could go back to work. The arena still got built on time. If they have to, they could go 24-7 to play catch up. -

They really are banged up now. Anything can happen and it will be a tough game as it is a rivalry game on the road. With that said if the Bills play well, they should win. They are the better team (IMHO) and definitely the healthier team. -
So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
Gregg replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just hope we don't get to the point where Allen is 34/35 years old and starting to decline and we still haven't won a Super Bowl. With McDermott staying on as HC I could see this scenario playing out. He has proven he can't get it done in the postseason. SEVEN YEARS already. It's not like he hasn't been given a chance here. -

It already looks better than MetLife.
