  1. Great point. Why are we always always watching some ***** work experience kid learning on the job? Eagles went to the SB, gave up too many points and went and got Fangio. Went back and won it. Meanwhile Babich and Brady try to figure out how to not trip over their own shoelaces whilst 17 gets beaten out of his prime Do you feel confident / hopeful this is also the case this year? I used to feel the same, but this seems different.
  2. Incorrect. I'm going to be right 100/100 times. Because this coach ain't it. There are years of proof. Not directed at you specifically as I have no interest in slagging fellow fans - but this point you made which lots of people make is a total misunderstanding of what is meant. I don't work on Superbowl or bust (as you correctly state, that would be dumb / cheating). But I DO work on having a good chance. And this bunch of clowns are getting further away, not closer. For those who think what you are looking at is even in the same postcode as "competent", fair enough. See you next year for more of the same 🤷🏽‍♂️ Let's put it this way - how many Superbowls do you think McVay or Shanahan or Belichick or Payton would have been to in the last 8 years with 17 running the show? How many points do you think we would score with Ben Johnson calling the plays? How much better do you think the D would be with Fangio or Brian Flores? Everywhere you look, our coaching clowns come up short. Very very short. Year after year. And are somehow getting further away 🤣 The offence has kept McClappy off the hot seat. And now that has turned to ***** too
  3. I bloody wish. Useless clapper cant even get his own side of the ball right. And hasn't been able to for years. 33 points against per playoff exit 🤣🤣 Which are usually lower scoring games. That his speciality, his side of the ball ffs! We have a damned defensive head coach who cant come up with a defense And I know there are a group who want to peddle some ***** about how much they keep us in games like this one and the Falcons one after half time (which is true to be fair!). Same people casually ignoring that he repeatedly lets mash units and QBs like Penix and Mills cruise up and down the field for 20 points in the first half. Mills was missing guys by 5+ yards for the first half - and still got to 20 points!!! Letting their pass rush tee off on us because we are behind. Then claiming success as we shut it down a bit second half, Wake up people. He is ***** at his job. The sooner everyone can freely admit that, the better.
  4. Very interesting to see the "best fans" - the ones who dont criticise and spend most of their time abusing people who have had complaints for a long time now appearing again. Its almost like they were wrong. Time and time and time again. Anyway, we will win next week and they will be back policing negative comments from "not real fans". Rinse and repeat This coach (in particular!) and this GM (on the balance of probabilities) aint it. Havent been for at least 2.5 years. Glad its becoming more obvious to these top top fans
  5. If you can guarantee me the win, then heck yeah!! 🤣 As it is, I don't think I could find a way to enotionally cope if we lost that game! Rather avoid it for that reason. (Cope football wise I mean! It's only a game guys!)
  6. I mean i agree overall 🤣 but we should at least also list his 60 yard return seeing as it feels like the first one all year!
  7. Lotta neck this Davis Mills, lotta neck!! 🤣
  8. Agree 100% And from both sides: AVERAGE TALENT The Saints with the ghost of Derek Carr last year had rasheed running wild deep down the field. And MVS who we couldn't get to 20 yards in a game. Tez Johnson already has more highlight touchdown catches than all the Bills combined Wandale Robinson has 600+ yards goddamit man. In Week 11. Thats a career year for our guys!!. Quentin Johnston is a worse catcher than me but is always running free Kendrick ***** Bourne has a 150 yard game with Mac ***** Jones!!! 🤣🤣 SCHEMED OPEN Watch Amon Ra or Davante (when Puka doesnt play) - they are largely the only receiver to be accounted for - and they are catching the ball in 5 yards of space on money downs. We cant find 2 yards of space? Their OCs are actually scheming them wide open, even when everyone in the building knows the ball is going to them
  9. I would certainly trade with them over the past few years Superbowl, down year, decent again, Superbowl contender with new young players whilst still dishing out picks for the things you need (Davante) Take that all day vs always in the playoffs and always a dollar short at crunch time
  10. Would you pay Kincaid - that decision is coming up this year or next? Fairly sure McBeane will - and we will have another few years of saying we would have fine if only he was fit Also sure a number of fans will also agree as you see flashes with him - but to me its another guy with "flashes" - i never see out of him what i see from McBride, or Bowers or Warren or Kelce or Kittle or even Kraft. He is no mismatch nightmare. He is another 6.5/10 player from the Beano handbook that doesnt move the needle, but takes up just enough cap room that we cant do anything else.
  11. a) not in much doubt that Diggs is a dick. He has proven it time and again. Him not being here as planned is a huge part of the issue, and the only part that gives Beane at least a part excuse until this season b) he certainly found out himself in half a season that Brady cannot get WRs going. He just cant. Its plain for all (most!) to see c) he backed the wrong horse first time round in Houston, but its also clear he figured out going somewhere with a brand new franchise QB is a sesinble option - they have the cap room to pay you, and get other pieces
  12. Slight aside, he is not the only one. I was reasonably happy in the summer with the new contracts handed out - i wouldn't have done Bernard at that price, but the others seemed ok But some of those guys - Benford, Bernard, Shakir - plus a bunch of other guys - Taron, Milano, Rapp - all played well below the level we know they can play In Rapp's case it seems like we found out that there was an injury behind that (or they are lying i suppose) Possible some of the others are also? I only say this because in the absence of a bunch of new players appearing from heaven to fix it - we are stuck with these guys. And that would actually be just about fine if they played at 8/10 rather than 6/10 every week. Also, i dont rate games missed as the measure (though it is the easiest measure) - Kincaid has only missed one game this season, and a couple last year maybe - but he has barely been fit through that stretch - you don't have the real player, even though it shows as "not injured"
  13. Out of interest, do you guys who believe only injuries have stopped us from going all the way think that is pure bad luck? I also spent at least up to 2023 saying similar, but at some point it feels to me like the guys in charge have to take some blame when its a constant on the defensive side of the ball. Whether that is a poor S&C team, drafting and signing undersized or injury prone guys, usage, practice habits - whatever - it just keeps happening. Its going to be pretty boring being sat here in 2029 saying "if only Landon Jackson and Deone Walker had been fit...(and obviously Jordan Poyer will still be knocking about). I do sort of agree with your main point - i think we would have won at least 2 of the post season games with a fuller complement of defense - but at some point, we have to move away from dumb bad luck to institutional issue. For what its worth i think the same about Shanahan, it cant just be bad luck forever, they are doing something wrong - and after 7-8 years its clear they dont know how to fix it.
  14. Coaches are blamed as that is the easiest lever to pull. You cant change (all) the players. You cant dump all the contracts. You cant just get rid of the nearly man syndrome that has put a downer on a largely excellent 5 years But if we agree it wouldn't be good enough to do the same for the next 5 years - then the coach and GM are the things that can be changed to try and engineer a better result, the ultimate result. As has been repeated thousands of times, those on this side of the fence are not morons as several posters (not you!) like to state - we are perfectly aware that it could end up worse. At the same time as understanding it could end up better. And crucially, worse no longer bothers a lot of us - its not as bad as the lack of access to a higher ceiling. If it goes from AFCE and divisional exit after the defence fails (again!) and the offence comes up short (again!) to 2nd place in the division and a wildcard exit - lots of us are not bothered. If it goes to 3rd place and missing out on the playoffs, again, thats fine. We will get a different coach and try again. What is not fine is ambling along with the exact same !@#$ing plan every year into the exact same !@#$ing result. I mean the WR conversation is so boring to a lot of people because its been the exact same issue for almost 2 years now!! Without being fixed. Its shambolic. The lack of elite talent is even a longer term issue - Beano's obsession with 6.5/10 players is a massive part of the issue. And its part of the same tired philosophy - it should get us the division and a chance in the post-season (even that is wavering this year, but to be fair, that hasn't been in question for 5 years and fair play to them for that). The same ***** Tomlin spouts every year. Zooming out - I don't really know what to say to people who watch the Texans D or the Cleveland D or the Rams O or the Seahawks O and think "Yep, McBeane is as good as it gets, I feel confident they will get it done, no need to consider changing the plan". I mean the Rams were literally giving away their picks at the side of the street and managed to get it rebuilt inside of a year. Meanwhile we are twiddling our thumbs saying "well when they are all fit, we'll be able to nickel and dime our way to a 3 point victory against the big boys" - its beyond a joke
  15. Dreamland / Bizzaroworld Sean McVay Les Snead Whichever damn DC you want, it wont matter with that offense!!! (Jim Schwartz though) Reality Klint Kubiak Any GM candidate from Lions or Eagles or Rams Jim Schwartz
  16. Weird sort of argument to make. You are clearly right, i think Beane could have made more than 2 phone calls. I suspect he did to be fair But its also fairly obvious that he got stuck up enough on this possibility that he ran out of time on the other possible deals or came up short on his other offers because he preferred this possible deal. Weeks before this, fan board fans managed to conclude the Jets and Dolphins wouldn't trade with the Bills - so its not that surprising that fans are flabbergasted he was wasting his time on this rather than other deals. He did get played, he wasted his time on deals that didnt come off - and that even fans could see weren't going to happen.
  17. If they have any sense they will use the treasure chest to get all the other pieces first and then look for QB a year later (after sucking again and having a high lick of their own as the QB is still Fields or whoever.
  18. The two with the 2nd year QBs are very likely the most dangerous - as they have a pot of money to play with for 2-3 years and if they get the player acquisition right, they can become powerhouses. At the same time, those QBs need to prove it over 2-3 years also. Look at the Texans and how they were viewed after Stroud in year one - and he went backwards really. Of course equally possible Nix and Maye take further leaps forward and those teams then have great QB play and great coaching and a winning history behind them. Dangerous. Chargers and Colts I don't see it myself 🤷🏽‍♂️
  19. Wow! They are starting from the foundations https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1985785451802718619
  20. I get why people insist on saying this but the reality is its nonsense for the Bills anyway (maybe not for Chiefs and Eagles who see a lot of Superbowls) 1 seeds, division winner etc - let's be honest it's going to be decided on 1 game - maybe in the Bills favour, maybe not. But it will be 1 game. And the ones now are worth just as much as the ones in December. Competent passing offence sees 7-0 or 6-1 right now - ahead of the harder schedule. And a solid path to the 1 seed. We have a shambles of a record on the road under post season McD, so home advantage is almost a must. And we have an injury prone roster who need the week off. Lastly, even if it was unimportant, it's quite the stretch to just say "I'm sure the Bills will just turn it on when needed in the playoffs."
  21. Yes - and using eyes instead. In the high leverage moments it is failing much more than it is working. Or at the very least has been going backwards. Baltimore Q4 - yep, after being poor for most of the game Jets - passable Dolphins - passable Saints - messy Pats game - nope Falcons game - nope Carolina - not used much or needed, but what we saw wasn't great.
  22. Hilarious only if you are restricted to "we could only have selected a receiver then" The hilarious part is the overall use of resources and the results of it in terms of who can help the team right now. Just as an option, get a known serviceable edge player or a failed project in free agency rather than Jackson, don't spend the Palmer money or the Samuel money or the Moore money - and actually draft a higher level receiver or trade for someone you know is actually good. At any point in the last 2 years once it was clear Diggs was done here!!! Not a tight end you think might be good (he is nowhere near worth the trade up pick, multiple later drafted tight ends have outperformed him), not a slow receiver you think might be good in 2 years, not an edge who might be good in 2 years - an actual damn receiver who can win us games right now.
  23. Good. Then find it. They seemed to find it for the succession of jags and sick notes they signed in free agency over the past couple years They found goddamn $12m for Josh Palmer who has never been past 600 yards in his whole career 🤯🤯🤯
