  1. Mike I hear you and Buddy loud and clear and I agree. However, isn't there some mid-level TE and RT we could get that really could help this team out quite a bit? That is all I am hoping for with respect to some of that extra cap space that we have over other teams.
  2. Save for a couple of you why is no one really pressing on the veracity of the OP?
  3. Thanks Steve, and i will. I hope we can do this...the thing of it is, just thinking about it makes me feel like a little kid again. I would like to be able to point to that field and say to him, "your father and I were going to games here 35 years ago...it's part of who we are."
  4. Oh yeah, we are going to do that regardless. If all else fails maybe I could rent a helicopter and do a fly-by.
  5. Your first line was my exact first thought. So I will hop on the Buffalo Barbarian band wagon in stating to you, Doc, that I could not have said it better myself.
  6. About 8 years and by all accounts it was seemly at the end of its life span. From the article in the previous thread: http://www.buffalonews.com/business/article416719.ece "The Bills were not dissatisfied with the stadium's current surface, Berchtold said. "It was simply that we have played eight seasons on the current turf and it has reached its life expectancy."
  7. My Godson is coming into town later this week for the first ( and maybe only) time ever. His father and I bleed the red, white and blue of this team and i would love for him to see the field with his own eyes just once, even if it is only for 5 minutes. Is that at all possible? I mean I am not talking about a tour; if we can just get in, even with a guard present, and see the stadium and field it would be not only a special moment for him, but a special moment between him and his father. If anyone knows anything, or anyone who could help I would greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.
  8. After looking at those photos how much do you miss football? ...I need football so bad right now it is like a sickness crawling through my veins.
  9. Very sorry and prayers to you and your family Scott. I lost my mother a few years ago and it leaves a big, big hole in your heart.
  10. Jauronimo, it is b/c I really don't like to piss and moan that's why the low profile on the original post.
  11. I love the synopsis they do, but enough already after all these years...please show JUST the game.
  12. Listened a bit to what Maurice Jones Drew was saying and I believed him on it. Essentially; progress, yes, but is it almost over...not really. Sorry guys. I have no real insight here or further commentary. I just P.O.'d and venting b/c I thought this would be done about a week ago. Peace and have a good one.
  13. Since the Bills aren't going to be playing for awhile and since the cat is now out of the bag i would like to see EA release some clips from Madden 11 so I can see these unis in motion.
  14. I still stand by what I said and that has been fleshed out a little more than last couple of days on WGR, especially after the Florio interview.
  15. Can we please get a quality TE in here, even if we have to pay a lot for him?
  16. Then I believe the Bills will be the biggest money making franchise in the NFL... JK San Jose, believe me bro I know what you are trying to say, but I am just realistically looking at this franchise's situation. I am absolutely ruff guessing this...no, let me say pulling this out of my a** , but I think the next owner of this franchise is probably going to have to come up with 20-30 million dollars a year for financing...an expense that Ralph does not have to deal with.
  17. One small point here, and please correct me if i am wrong: if you are a small market team with a new owner counting upon some of that money to offset some of your financing...you are screwed. In other words, if you are interested in buying the Bills it is going to be that much tighter for you, money-wise, to break even. ...I don't think this is necessarily good news for the Bills' future.
  18. Hmmm, some logic it what you are saying purp. Alright, I'll wait and see then.
  19. I am on board with all of you with respect to the bigger Buffalo decal.
  20. Man, eball, I did not want to say it but I was thinking it. Great memory on your part. it used to drive my father crazy when he would hang his head like that. I did a quick look on that sit I provided and I think that at the time of his retirement, and don't quote me on this, he was maybe top 20 in yards and touchdown passes.
  21. Tampa made the playoffs? My memory isn't that bad, is it?
  22. Retired for 20 years and he's still 35th all-time in the NFL for passing yards. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_yds_career.htm?redir ...tied for 34th in TD passes, as well.
