Need to score two touchdowns in rapid time? No problem. Need to score a touchdown with all the time in the world? Sorry - that's going to be an issue.

Poyer. Clutch

So much natural and unpredictable talent being made so pedestrian and predictable,.
-
Yeah, but we shouldn't have to wait to going for it on 4th.

Dorsey relies on YAC sooo much on 3rd. Also, obvious with hindsight, but you take the 3 points there. You've already screwed up - don't double down. Adventurous at the wrong times, conservative at the wrong times.

Allen feels like a lot of the magic is being coached out of him. His superman stuff is unpredictable but it has been so effective. Trying to turn him into someone else, if indeed that's what's going on, doesn't seem to be working. I miss the harum scarum stuff. Yeah it is risky but boy was it fun. He looks like he's thinking too much, rather than relying on his instinct.

The US will have held two world cups before England does though. Which is just as silly.

I know someone who was at the event in london. He said goodell’s answer was diplomatic but it was quite clearly a hard no to anyone really listening

This Team WAS The Best in the NFL

I can't take Bills seriously as superbowl contenders if they can't back themselves to get 2 yards when it's needed. All the big plays are majestic as hell, but if you can't go and get two yards when you need it, you're not elite. You're asking for too many things to go your way too often. Eagles last year were the masters of this. 2 yards out they couldn't miss. It ground opponents down. -
The only positive I got from being at the game was how Bernard stood up to be the leader of that defence. And they did pretty well, considering
-
Agree. But the jags weren’t all that physically impressive. They didn’t hurt Allen much. The only interception I saw was a shot to nothing. This wasn’t a game of margins in the field. It was a game of offensive play failure. Also, and it’s a small point, Allen’s handoffs are awful
-
I mean we can cry about that if we want. But we played like dogs on offence. You read your stats all you like. Our playcalling was ass. That’s not a result of tiredness.
-
The nfl didn’t choose our offensive plays

Followed the Bills since '91 (failed glory hunter) and never seen them live. So while playing games in London is basically a load of old bull####, I'm pretty excited about getting to see them at last.

Feels like the defence of two years ago. McD has them on fire. -
I'm really pleased for him. I don't understand the game as well as people on this board, but when we drafted him I looked at his reel from Baylor, and he looked to have real (and rare) superstar quality. I really hope he can scale it up to the big league. Looks like he might ...

Dorsey really is a worry, isn't he. Bills look like a strong playoff side. But there's an ease in the offence lacking. Can't make every set of downs so much hard work. -

Bernard not quite the clown pick he was made out to be. -
Week 2 Bills vs Raiders Home Opener!

They won't know what hit them. -
I can't remember a game where Josh, alone, so obviously lost us the game. There have been similarly poor performances, but you could look to the O-Line and WR options to mitigate those somewhat. This was a game that could have been won five times over, and Josh let the side down. The upside, however, is that he will never have a starker realisation of what he must do/not do going forward - even if we've all sort of known it for years. And the best time to have that stark realisation, if you must have it, is on the road in week one. His interview suggests he totally knows he ***** up. If he doesn't improve after this, then he can't be called elite. But at least he 100% knows what he needs to do from now on. I doubt he'll want this feeling of letting down his teammates (who mostly did okay) ever again. I think he'll come out of this okay.

9/11/23 GAMEDAY Week 1 Bills @ Jets MNF Pregame Thread

Genuinely excited about this season. I don't know football as well as you guys, so I don't have SB expectations this year. Just not sure we've got what's needed. But I am really, really looking forward to seeing Josh and Kincaid this year. And, to a degree, Cook and Rousseau. I also actually get to see the team LIVE this year, for a change. And against Lawrence, which will be *****in awesome. Anyway, GO BILLS and I hope they bring you long suffering bastards all the joy you deserve this season. -
Good to see the calls for a coach to be fired starting in Week 1. Surprised they managed to come before Bills had played a down, though.
-
I’m really excited by it. The red zone offence wasn’t at all what it should have been last season - or if stats show it was, it didn’t *feel* that way. Also way too much pressure on Josh on third downs. Seems positive to me.
