"The other side of this equation gets a little tougher. If Tua is able to pass a physical next March, the Dolphins will have the ability to release him, with "only" his $50M of 2025 compensation on the hook. Tua's 2026 compensation ($54M) becomes fully guaranteed on March 14th. A Post 6/1 release prior to this means $83.6M of dead cap across 2025/2026."

Thanks! A timely update. It seems to make more sense to squeeze a bit from these guys than push any of Von's money further down the line.

My friend is a niners fan (and self proclaimed Capologist) and is convinced we're going to restructure Von's deal this week to get in under the cap for the 53. I think we can save about $5m by converting his roster bonus to signing. However, I thought we might not want to do it with him, as this year as we're taking medicine on many of the older guys, and might want to move on from his contract next year. What do you reckon? Any other moves needed instead? Extend Spencer Brown? OTC has us $395k over just now (third least 2024 space in the league). We're only 5th in active spending (192m) and have 63m dead cap (thanks Stefon!).

Predict what positional groups are better/worse in 2024?GrimboG replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall I think Cornerbacks should be better this year. We lost Tre for most of last season and this year will have Douglas from the start plus (hopefully) an improved Elam in the mix.

UK-based NFL fan here.... ... and I think this is a terrible idea! The Superbowl is a quintessentially American event. It's part of why we enjoy the sport

You mean Newcastle, not Northampton, right? How strong was the Singha?!

When healthy: we were the best team in the league.GrimboG replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall I agree. My friends that support other teams would think its sour grapes, but we were so beat up on D by the time the KC game rolled around. Having to squeeze out 6 games in row, plus playing on a shorter week... we were gassed. AJ klein hobbling around in the second half... They had the 3 seed locked up so treated GW17 like a bye. Thems the breaks I suppose. Hope we can ride a bit better luck next year!

You must have missed the Eagles game?! I think there could be something in this theory for the remaining games though.... if there ever was an NFL "script" then the powers that be would surely want Allen in the playoffs this year.

Dalton Kincaid: Beane's best pick since Allen?GrimboG replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Kelce is literally in the conversation for one of the best TEs of all time Kincaid is awesome but lets give him some time to grow

I feel like if we'd had him 2 years ago we'd have had a superbowl by now. Great add!

I know this is page 7 now, but I still felt the need to join this thread and question WTF that was about! I live in Scotland and have never played football but could have adjusted to that in Payton/Wilsons position, which they did. The Broncos seemed better prepared generally for those couple of plays. All more HC than OC

Is there an official update on Daquan yet?GrimboG replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall If he could somehow be back for the playoffs that would be a huge boost. I'm not optimistic though, based on McD's initial comments yesterday.

Great post BB, which captures alot of my feelings about the London game too. I loved meeting you all on Saturday (as did my Eagles friend Ed) and we'll fondly remember the conversations over dinner. The stories of the origins of our Bills fandom were amazing - particulary going back to GunnerBill and MattM's fathers both being there for the original 1960 season! I also loved the game experience, the Bills Mafia takeover and general atmosphere at the stadium. We were also lucky enough to meet Pinto Ron twice - what an incredible man! However, the injuries cast a heavy shadow and I can't help but think that the whole London thing must be a poor and unwanted experience for the players. Back in Edinburgh now and have photos of the dinner from in this album of the Saturday here. I wasn't able to upload directly, so hopefully this link works: https://photos.app.goo.gl/3E54DvQSdvuun6k17. Thanks again for organising the dinner BB! It was a real highlight of the weekend.

I've lived in UK for 44 years and have never been to Bath or Stonehenge I don't know how much of London you've already seen, but there is so much cool stuff you could spend a full week exploring the city. I'd be tempted to spend a day doing that instead of the trip, and get the train to Gatwick from London bridge. The train only is 30-40 mins compared 1.5 hours driving.
