  1. You pay a QB that price if it's going to get you a SB win. Recent history shows Rodgers isn't getting that for GB at that price. In playoff exit to SF: 0 Tds NOT 1 (they lost by 3) the average air yards per pass: 4.8 yds (that's Capt Check down material). It's also not a 1 game thing but a persistent playoff problem according to the article below. Rodgers is great during the regular season but he hasn't delivered recently in the playoffs. Oh & for context, Brady's deal w/ Tampa was 2 yrs for 50 mill. & Rodgers thinks he's worth double that w/o the recent winning playoff let alone SB record Brady had? Ok Aaron. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/aaron-rodgers-major-playoff-struggles-vs-49ers-shown-stat
  2. Unless it's the game winning catch in the Superbowl?
  3. Government project, so it'll go over schedule & over budget. Should we start the over under @ 6 years $2billion?
  4. Aaron Rodgers w/ his pal Davante Adams moving together to Tennessee or Indy. Don't want them in Denver or Cleveland either but those divisions are harder than the South (where they'd just romp, IMO).
  5. Affair w/ an employee when he's the boss (see below). That's frowned upon in most professional workplaces unless your Dan Snyder in Washington. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/ct-spt-buffalo-bills-sabres-president-resigns-20180502-story.html
  6. I thought McDermott preferred using their facilities in Orchard Park over St. John Fisher. Looks like the marketing guys won the argument over the football guys. Oh well, I did always enjoy taking the Fam to the training camps at St. John Fisher.
  7. All the lawmakers talk about in that article is Dan Snyder & his scandals. Appears that & Not a genuine concern for spending taxpayer $ on stadiums is the concern & focus. Seems like a pressure point to get what they want from the league then they drop it. Even if they don't drop it, doesn't mean it passes. Wonder what the online wager line would be on Congress of all places being able to agree & pass a bill like this? 🤔 IMO this goes nowhere.
  8. Christian Kirk on vacation w/ Josh Allen. 🤔 https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/josh-allen-christian-kirk-vacation-free-agency/
  9. Not bad. Solidifies 2 spots, Special Teams Gunner & CB depth (not a bad idea given other pending free agents at those spots). Would rather it be Phillips & Bates we're locking up 1st, but that's more pricey so I get Beane taking the lower hanging fruit.
  10. Phillips resign will be a factor. But June 1st is the date to watch. If he's going, that's when it'll happen, to maximize savings. Interesting to see how he does in OTAs (if there's a lack of ability, availability or effort wonder if it forces a decision)
  11. Kirk would be interesting & looks like a good get. I'd be for that. Not sure Beane goes that route & put that much $ into slot WR FA though. Just seems like he's looking to retain Beasley (probably w/ lower cap hit) & will look to spend $$ on a legit FA pass rusher (was sniffing around Watt & Von Miller last year).
  12. Not on that contract w/ that injury history. & Certainly not for that trade compensation to play out of position in the slot, replacing a proven player. (That's about 4 reasons not to. Beane is too smart to do this. IMO)
  13. 1988 '88 AFC Championship loss to Bungles Taking my wife & kids to their 1st game this year. Going crazy the moment the drought was broken. My kids hugging me when Allen-Davis scored w/ 13 ticks to go. Bruce Smith (drought: Freddy Jackson). Current: got to be Josh Allen Junk food is king on game day!
  14. Oh really, no such thing as a jinx? It's not just that I'm a little-stitious, this is based on real scientific "analysis", look: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2021/10/27/22746974/analysis-buffalo-bills-record-by-uniform-colors-shows-clear-correlation Blue pants = jinx. Facts! 😉 🤞 🍀
  15. As long as we adios the jinxy blue pants.
  16. 1. CB - If Levi Wallace prices out of Buffalo & we don't get a good FA replacement CB is an immediate need. 2. DT- Phillips is a priority resign that should get done & take a little pressure off DT (which still needs depth). 3. IOL - (had this #1 before Bates started). Bates is another priority resign who should be back. They'll want to restructure Williams. If either of those things falls through or Morse retires this moves to #1 need. But even if it doesn't we will need a guard center piece to draft & develop behind Morse & our guards. 4. Slot WR - sounds like Beane wants Beasley back (given end of season comments) though will want to restructure. They could go a FA route, of not this feels like a round 3 or later draft piece to develop behind Beasley (like they did w/ Davis who was a round 2). 5. TE - depth player behind Knox. FA or later draft pick. 6. RB - I don't think they value this position as high so this seems like we other a FA or later round pick.
  17. Interesting depth ranking of positional groups in the draft: (might dictate how some teams prioritize their boards) https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2952735-ranking-each-positional-group-in-the-2022-nfl-draft.amp.html
  18. Quite a few interesting free agent names available. Here's the list: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/quarterback/
  19. Answer to the Q is: NO!
  20. Good for him & good for the Steelers. Hope it works out except when they play the Bills.
