  1. Ralph was cheap. In other observations, Dorsey doesn't look much like a football coach does he? He looks like a physician or something very white collary. Also, what does Bruce Smith have tucked into the back of his pants?
  2. I don't believe Araiza's freakishly strong leg forgives all sins, nor do I believe it revolutionizes punting. Here's a sortable database for NCAA punting: https://www.footballdb.com/college-football/stats/stats.html?mode=U&yr=2021&lg=FBS&sort=puntnet It shows that Araiza was 1st in gross yardage but only 6th in net yardage. On the downside he led the nation in touchbacks and had a below average touchback percentage of 19%. He was also mediocre in percentage of punts returned (27.8%) and downright bad in yards per return (11.4 yards per return). Araiza was drafted under the hope that he improves substantially. Hopefully that happens. .
  3. Yes, he died a few months after George Burns passed away.
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Butler If not Brad Butler was it the guy who did it in the living room with the candlestick?
  5. Thanks for posting this news. I always had an admiration for the great teams and players of that era. Len Dawson and Daryle Lamonica each had 3 AFL Championships. So did George Blanda. Jack Kemp won 2. I remember several great games between the Chiefs and Raiders from those days. It was during the early days of colored television and their uniforms were an amazing contrast and feast for the eyes. There's something like 18 Hall of Famers from just those two teams from the late 60s and early 70s and the Dawson/Lamonica battles were a contrast in styles... like watching a boxer vs a slugger. I often wondered if they were friends in retirement so intertwined were their careers. Thoughts and prayers to the great Len Dawson and his family. Thank you for all the great memories.
  6. Near elite 40 time, vertical and broad jump. His athleticism jumps off the screen not unlike Milano's. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/baylon-spector/32005350-4515-9114-fba7-7065114ee5c1 https://www.nfl.com/prospects/matt-milano/32004d49-4c03-3577-24b3-664d0e1e9524
  7. Yes, that's essentially what I've been saying. I've been trying to address the expectations some here have had for Howard.
  8. Here's something though, except for his vertical jump he had very good measurables at the combine. I believe that OJ Howard's athleticism is at a lower level today than it was then due to his multiple lower body injuries.
  9. The fan reaction is. The drafts are not.
  10. Are you talking about Bednard?
  11. Give our regards to Lake Mead.
  12. No problem Steve. Good job though keeping Kaiir and Kahlil straight.
  13. You'll have to fix your link then. Even cut and pasted it doesn't work. Regardless, you didn't answer the question.
  14. OJ Howard is not the same athlete he was before he started having medical issues with his ankle, his foot, and his achilles. It's a fair question as to whether he'll ever regain his previous athleticism. Obviously his size is an asset but I haven't seen any evidence of burst or suddenness from him yet.
  15. Weird that the draft assessment you posted above doesn't include Greg Rousseau or Boogie Basham. For a point of comparison the 2016 draft was the last one not done by this regime: 1st Round Shaq Lawson 2nd Round Reggie Ragland 3rd Round Adolphus Washington 4th Round Cardale Jones 5th Round Jonathan Williams 6th Round Colby Listenbee 6th Round Kevon Seymour Do you have an opinion about how this team has drafted under the new regime?
  16. Two thoughts... I can't think of a current OC that calls plays from the sidelines however... there are still some HCs that call the offensive plays and they're obviously gonna be on the sidelines.
  17. Ehlinger was probably the most impressive QB in today's game. He was a 6th rounder last year. I guess that's what the Bills were going for when they drafted Jake Fromm.
  18. Yeah that was the standard outcome each time Tasker attempted to communicate using the English language.
  19. I hope he was drinking because at least that would give him an excuse.
  20. He can get epidermis augmentation surgery on his palms if they start wearing thin.
  21. Interesting timing for this topic... the Bills twice interviewed Frank Reich for the HC position... the first time when Rex Ryan eventually got the job and the second time when McDermott got the job.
