  1. From Wednesday's Buffalo News: "Besides Josh Allen (shoulder), other players who were limited were: Kaiir Elam (ankle), Dane Jackson (foot), Cam Lewis (shoulder) and Greg Rousseau (foot). McDermott said Elam re-aggravated an ankle injury that he sustained in training camp."
  2. This is correct. In 7 seasons Milano has started every game only once. Before this season he played in 85 out of a possible 97 games. After this season he will have played in 90 out of a possible 114 games. He's always been a bit injury-prone and now he just gets older and more expensive. His cap hit next year is almost $13 million and grows to over $16 million in 2025 and 2026.
  3. Also... "It was great," Williams said of the experience. "The fans kept giving us energy throughout the game. Obviously, got some things to clean up and play better next week." That part is also true. Williams did miss a pair of tackles, according to analytics website Pro Football Focus, so it wasn't a perfect showing. One of those came on Barkley's 34-yard run in the fourth quarter – New York's longest play of the night.
  4. From today's Buffalo News: "Bernard wasn't just pumping up his teammate when he said that. Williams did, indeed, turn in several impactful tackles. In the second quarter alone, Williams either made a solo tackle or assisted in bringing down Barkley four times on plays in which the Giants' star running back gained 2 yards or less, including one for a loss of 2 yards and another for no gain on a second-and-1 run. In the third quarter, Williams again stopped Barkley, with help from A.J. Epenesa, after a gain of just 2 yards on a first-and-10 play, and also limited a scramble by Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor to just a 3-yard gain on third-and-14. In the fourth quarter, Williams forced a Taylor incompletion by getting pressure on a third-and-1 play from the Bills' 11-yard line, leading to the Giants kicking a field goal."
  5. There ain't no doubt about that. 😉
  6. We're deep at edge but not deep on the interior. The above is counter to McDermott's belief that games are won and lost in the trenches... on the lines. If Poona is the player he was in Seattle 3 years ago we should be fine. However there are signs both from Seattle and since coming to Buffalo that he's not the same player he was. We're surely about to find out.
  7. What makes you say "extramarital?" There is no indication of that so you shouldn't carelessly make remarks to that effect.
  8. More housekeeping. Zack Moss last 8 Regular Season Games Date ATT YDs YPC 12/17/22 24 81 3.38 12/26/22 12 65 5.42 1/1/23 15 74 4.93 1/8/23 18 114 6.33 9/17/23 18 88 4.89 9/24/23 30 122 4.07 10/1/23 18 70 3.90 10/8/23 23 165 7.17 TOTAL 158 779 4.93 Over these last 8 games Moss is averaging 19.75 carries for 97.38 yards per game and has scored 6 TDs. A bit ironic that he had his best game as a pro on the day that Jonathan Taylor was activated... more fantasy football angst. Actually a legit question. If he turns out to have a career commensurate with his draft status doesn't that mean he was a good pick? Does it not also suggest that it was other circumstances (even bad luck) that prevented him from living up to his draft status with his original team?
  9. Apparently he was more injured than people thought. He did make a vow after signing that he was gonna outperform the contract.
  10. Agree with the OP. Despite the shot, it’s funny.
  11. Zack Moss last 7 Regular Season Games Date ATT YDs YPC 12/17/22 24 81 3.38 12/26/22 12 65 5.42 1/1/23 15 74 4.93 1/8/23 18 114 6.33 9/17/23 18 88 4.89 9/24/23 30 122 4.07 10/1/23 18 70 3.9 TOTAL 135 614 4.91 Just doing some housekeeping. This might get interesting as Jonathan Taylor moves closer to returning to action. FWIW, Moss is averaging 17.86 rushes and 87.7 yards per game over his last 7 regular season games. He has scored 4 TDs in these games. Jonathan Taylor was just activated minutes ago.
  12. Yeah, I hated seeing the Niners getting another elite pass rusher. That team was already stacked and in my mind they are the biggest obstacle to a Super Bowl Championship for the Bills.
  13. Yes. Randy Gregory would have been a more valuable pickup for the Dolphins IMO.
  14. This is a common error even among "professionals." Some of these people are so inarticulate that they struggle to construct a coherent question. Others just like listening to their own voice.
  15. For what it's worth he played 9 games with 5 starts last season before being placed on IR.
  16. Weird chart. I see only 8 cornerbacks league wide rate higher but what is the unit of measure? He's at .07 what? Jackson seems like an excellent tackler too. Hmmm... agree that Taron is excellent and one of the best at his position but that discussion begins with the recognition that Taron is a slot corner. It's kind of a different position. Care to cite your source? The link states based on "40 minimum coverage snaps." I assume this implies that there are numerous snaps where the QB chose not to throw towards Benford.
  17. 6:30 am? Rice Krispies on beer.
  18. I'm an early riser and a big NFL fan. For non-Bills games that start at 6ish am, if I'm not tuned in right at kickoff it'll be shortly thereafter.
  19. Does Shaq's status atop Rousseau's status impact the decision to play Miller?
  20. With regard to our household, you're wrong... at least this week. Shaq Lawson? How about beer and rice krispies? There's a 945 out of 1000 chance that he will play. What's so strange about that? 😉
  21. I agree that it's not a football play and that it's pretty ugly. It came up for rules discussion this past offseason and I was surprised it wasn't eliminated. That could be. If it wasn't part of the play design it showed his excellent football instincts because he didn't have too much time to think about it.
  22. The latest on the subject is that the Giants attempted a QB push play on Thursday against the Seahawks. Not only was it unsuccessful, but two of their starters were injured on the play and did not return to the game. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/giants-attempt-at-qb-push-play-resulted-in-injuries-to-two-players "Both center John Michael Schmitz (shoulder) and tight end Daniel Bellinger (knee) exited the game. They did not return."
