UPDATE 2025 - The Trump economy
rusty shackleford replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
An inverted yield curve is one of the largest indicators of an upcoming recession. Every recession has been preceded by an inverted yield curve, but there have been a few times the yield curve has gone negative and reverted back without a recession, so it doesn't guarantee it will happen. The 2/10 spread has been inverted for well over two years now. I think it might even chart the longest and deepest negative trend we have had. It has snapped back in the other direction very quickly over the past few weeks. That is not a good sign of things to come. -

Thomas Matthew Crooks & Ryan Routh

Oh didn’t realize you were referring to his voter registration information. A lot of people express libertarian points of view but still are registered with one of the two major parties. -

If he was bullied during high school into becoming a presidential assassin, then what does his dad being a libertarian have to do with anything? -

That is a very specific political way to rationalize his actions. If other rumors of him not being a very politically involved person are true, then it can be more simple than that. Day one of being eligible to vote at 18 a lot of people register along the same party lines as their family. He could have checked the Republican box just simply because that’s what his parents were. Over 2+ years from then, who knows how he developed, what his influences were, and what kind of person he became. In any event, something lead him to be a very sick individual. -
Speaking of Darwin candidates

Jokes aside, if you do fireworks for celebrations great, lots of fun, but safety should be the priority. I do a lot of fireworks at my house for the 4th, started going a bit over the top for Bills victories too, but always need to keep a controlled environment. I keep my fence gate locked so none of the kids can come in. Stay across the street. If a shell doesn’t light, toss it! Not worth the risk . Clamp down the tubes, don’t let them fall and point back towards a house. Make sure there are rocks or bricks to support repeaters, don’t need those tipping or breaking into pieces. -

Those are lyrics from a song used in one of the Jackass movies…. But seriously how sad is it to get hammered in front of your family and friends and end up blowing your head off in front of them. It’s a really tragic for everyone that watch it happen. -

Joe Biden is dying in front of our eyes!

A live look in at Biden with the people in charge. -
No but I was in the process of buying beer when the power went out. It was pretty funny watching the cashiers trying to do the mental math with no cash register to give the answer for change (cash still rules back then).

Slightly off topic but one of my best memories of being at a game from my season ticket days was Chargers at Bills in 2008 when balloons knocked out the power to the stadium.
