On point #2, having a competitive team goes a long way there. I think there was such a high level of shenanigans during the drought years because there wasn't much to pay attention to on the field. Combine that with cheap tickets and people would go just for the tailgating and it would easily get out of hand.
I thought it was in the area that cuts through to the Wings lot. I know after that happened the Wings lot was forced to remove that metal bridge the made just a few years earlier that crossed the creek.
Hard to believe it was 10 years ago already. I just remember when the story came out that it seemed like it was a simple case of someone drunk falling into water and not being able to get up. It got more complicated when his brother or whatever family was with him said that he doesn't drink at all and he got tossed for getting in an altercation with a group in the bathroom. Just a lot that didn't seem to add up from what was made public.
The Dolphins fan that was found dead in the creek after getting tossed out was probably the closest thing that happened. Not sure if the entire story on that was ever really figured out.
I took a human anatomy class in college a year or two after it happened and there was a whole part dedicated to sports injuries… we had to watch it several times one class.
Why? Just so he can get tackled 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage on a delayed draw? The OL, play calling, and play design all need to be improved before a highly paid running back would make much of a difference on this team.
I’ve defended the coaching a lot before but after this game it’s easy to say it all comes back to McDermott. Someone needs to get Josh’s head in check. Someone needs to get the OC understanding how to feel the situational play calling. Someone needs to get the unnecessary penalties cleaned up (Milano). It falls back on McD and as good of a guy he is, he’s just not the one to get them to pull it altogether.
I thought Duggan would have been a good pick in the 7th when he was still on the board and we were up. Would be interesting to bring him in now but I bet they are looking for an experienced vet that can have a leadership role in practice similar to Barkley.
I don’t know, I remember seeing Tim Allen throwing the pigskin around to the kids on Home Improvement. The arm talent is definitely there, just needs to lose the dad bod.
I was hoping Shorter would end up with the hangnail type injury that sends him to IR as a rookie. Keep Isabella on the 53 white Shorter sits a year and learns. I think they did that with Hodgins his rookie year and maybe even the next year if I'm remembering correctly.
