I think this is how Beane views it too unfortunately. Most of us see this team as sooo close and want this to be a “cherry on top” draft and “increase our fastball” draft where we give josh weapons. Or at least address CB in the first. I would love that BUT I’m preparing myself to be disappointed as I think Beane sees exactly what you’re seeing. Big contracts coming up at LB and Safety and trying to find cheap replacements for those but that doesn’t help us short term. LB/S are the 2 positions I don’t want us to draft but feel like we will in the first 3 rounds. Our heads will explode but my money is on Lewis Cine in round 1. At which point we will all scream “please get a WR or CB!”

This is exactly where I’m at too, especially point #1. Everytime we turn around and hand it off, the defense is ecstatic because it’s no longer in Josh’s hands. I’m not saying we can’t be more dynamic back there, but why kind of team do we want to be? You want to pound the rock or throw it around? I’m the latter. That said, teams are going to be playing light boxes all year against us to force us to run more so we need guys that can take the short passes and take them to the house or can keep the defense honest if we hand it off. Teams don’t fear singletary but would they fear Hall? No clue. I think our O line was such a mess last year that even Hall wouldn’t have been successful. Is Hall a dynamic pass catcher out of the backfield? If so then maybe that’s something we really need and would help to offset the defenses josh is definitely going to be seeing this year.

Bills have almost $10 million in cap space available

I think it’s entirely possible to be honest depending on how the board falls. I’m pumped to have Von but I don’t think he plays 100% of the snaps and I hate the idea of AJ or Boogie behind him taking meaningful snaps. Those are the two picks I’ve hated the most from Beane besides the Ford and Fromm picks. -
Pounding the table for Christian Watson at 25

I like Dotson as a slot too and that’s not a bad thing. Diggs and Gabe outside so need a playmaker in the slot anyways right? -
Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]
BeavercreekBillsFan replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like it’s the Dolphins. Huge news that we don’t have to deal with Hill on KC anymore. Weakens them tmr for sure. But KC will own picks 29, 30, 50 and 62 now. They can reload at WR plus other big spots. -

I love Diggs but Ward always shuts him down when we play them. Hill is different than Diggs in every way -
Breaking: Tom Brady will play this year with Tampa

He’s never getting the F out of our football lives is he?! -
I can’t smash the like button on this enough. We are in the window NOW. We can’t bank on a rookie we pick at the end of round 1 to be THE guy that puts us over. Manipulate the cap however you can. Hell the Saints do it every year. They just created $8.7m of cap space this morning by reworking Kamaras contract. These are things we should be doing. We can’t just “run it back” with Hughes and Addison and expect to get back to the AFC title game. I just hope Beane is aggressive. I’m good with trading our 1st for an elite guy on defense like we did with Diggs. We need game changers on that side of the ball. I’m not sure what the moves are but we can’t just stay out and use “the cap myth” as an excuse. We have our guy in Josh. Now let’s go all in and get him what he needs to get us a trophy.

Chargers will add Jordan Davis too in the draft to clog the middle. With Mack and Bosa off the edges, that’s scary. Too bad we have Hughes and Addison crawling off the edges slowly.

Bills are on the clock at #25
BeavercreekBillsFan replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they are good with moving Dion inside and Dion is cool with it, then yep let’s do it. Offensive line was a disaster all year long, Josh just manages to cover up so many warts. I need another playmaker though if we don’t take Jameson Williams or get a good FA pickup since WR is a need too. I’m glad to see others like Wandale Robinson also. I’m biased as a UK fan, but he’s special and he’s tough. Watching him every week, he’s the soul of that UK team. Put on the Iowa tape, especially the last quarter. Everyone knew he was getting the ball. He just makes plays. -

Understand Booth and Olave but why Penning? He can’t kick inside can he? We have Hawkins and Brown. Who is moving inside? -

Voted Williams too for this reason. Allen has to do everything himself. Need that speed element and that YAC guy. I also LOVE the idea of McCreary/Mcduffie in round 1 and then Wandale Robinson in round 2. Dude is a stud and would be great in this offense. Kid is tough as hell too and Josh would love him -

Rams are just wasting downs trying to run it. I’ve never seen anything like it. -

Bengals are going to win this game. The biggest issue was how do they block up front and that’s been a non factor so far. Bengals receivers are just too good -

Way better than the Rams line. Rams basically wasting downs running the ball -
Super Bowl LVI: Bengals at Rams

It’s incredible what a few lucky breaks here and there will do for you. Tennessee should’ve beat them and blew it. KC did the same. Unfortunately we got Mahomes best shot that night and now we are at home. Not saying the Bengals are frauds but lots of lucky breaks along the way. Just sucks because of the Burrow worship when that should’ve been Josh. -
It’s sort of like in basketball where who gives a damn if you have 10 decent players to have depth. You need the impacts studs or else it doesn’t matter. Players 5-10 don’t matter as much if the top 4 aren’t giving you anything that players 5-10 can’t. Beane needs to deal out first rounder to some team way over the cap for a blue chipper languishing on a crappy team. Not sure who that is but our window is now. Don’t waste Josh. Frazier’s bend but don’t break D makes no sense anyways. Shouldn’t we be agressive on D to get josh the ball instead of giving teams long drives and keeping it from josh? So what if we give up a score here and there, get it back to Josh.
