He's not. He does what they need him to do to win. Some people see that as being MVP-worthy and he should be in the running. I don't think the discussion about Allen vs Hurts even matters though because Mahomes is clearly the MVP, IMO.

They still had to score points and they put the ball in the endzone 4 times on the ground against one of the best defenses in football. The point remains they don't need Hurts to be a Josh Allen to win. We always need Josh Allen to be Josh Allen to win.

It' was abundently clear the defense couldn't stop their offense either in the air or on the ground, so I don't know where you getting we somehow get a W in that game. You're back to hypotheticals claiming had we simply done x, y, or z, we could win when it was clear as day we didn't have the weapons they do to keep up with them.

Anyone who's watched the games can see this play out and it's only because of Josh we can do anything. Against great teams, Josh can't do it alone. You seem to think you can get dominated at the LOS on both sides of the ball and somehow win the game. Winning the battle in the trenches has been and remains one of the most fundamentally basic objectives in football since the game's inception. We lost that battle and lost it badly against Cincy against an offensive line missing 3/5 starters and against a defensive line getting home rushing three. You lose that game 10/10 times.

When you have trash like Saffold who literally got turn-styled multiple times in that game, you don't need Bruce Smith or Deacon Jones. Even Dawkins, who is easily our best player on the line, got beaten off the edge repeatedly. I lost count over how many times Josh was feeling almost immediate pressure as soon as he received the snap. You're talking about hypothetical situations and how you think they would've played out. I'm dealing with real situations and how they actually played out.

You guessed wrong. A QB with no blocking is going to struggle and I don't care who it is. When the D-line can get home with a 3-man rush, with 8 in coverage and receivers blanketed, you're going to have a bad night. The results speak for themselves.

To say the Bills were playing the same football at the end of the year as they were playing when we played KC early in the year with a healthy Von Miller and Daq on the line is laughable. How did escaping the rush and off script plays work out against Cincy? They didn't. Like at all. Allen was being pressured and was on the run all game.

The KC rush sacked Burrow 5 times and Chris Jones looked like he was getting held on every play. Josh was getting pressured by a four and even a THREE man rush against Cincy. Our D barely sniffed Burrow the entire game. We were dominated on both sides of the LOS against Cincy. That's not changing against KC.

Great thought, but how does Von or Hyde change Josh getting hit and constantly pressured by a 4 or even 3-man rush? We scored 10 points and unless those guys can play on the O-line or receiver, not much is going to change that.

That's the thing though...Hurts doesn't have to play like an elite QB in their offense. He simply has to be efficient, not turn the ball over, and he'll always be a threat to run. They ran for 150 yards and 4 TDs against a very good Niners D. They didn't allow Hurts to have a great game through the air, but Philly didn't need him to.

With this O-line that couldn't stop a 3-man rush? The same. We scored 10 points. The draft is going to tell us everything about where this FO and coaching staff's heads are at. If they don't address the O-line and get Josh some help at WR2, it shows me they just don't get it.

So what coaches are we using then to beat them?

It was clear to me that we weren't beating either of these teams in the playoffs this year. We got no pressure on Burrow and we wouldn't have on Mahomes either. We couldn't stop Mixon and we probably don't stop Pacheco either. Cincy got pressure on Josh with a 3-man rush. That wouldn't have changed against KC and Chris Jones would be all over Allen. We were playing loose coverage against Cincy's receivers. Kelce and crew would've eaten us up too. It all boils down to the line of scrimmage and both of these teams dominate us there. We address the O-line, get Josh a true WR2, get a healthy Daquan and Von back, and we can re-visit.

It absolutely is a participation trophy and a joke. Saffold is quite literally one of the worst guards in the league based on his PFF grade this season (43.7). If you watched him at all this year, it's a pretty accurate assessment.

If Saffold can be named to the Pro Bowl, this only demonstrates how absolutely worthless a Pro Bowl selection is now. Oh, I'm not shy. I'm all about saying Frazier needs to go and if the odd, no situational football playcalling continues next season, Dorsey needs to go too. McD should be on the hot seat next year too if we can't at least get past the divisional round. Reaching the AFCCG and then early playoff exits should not become the accepted norm for this team.
